Hello everyone.
I have a new Honor 5X and am having trouble getting away from the stock Chinese ROM.
Anyhow, where I'm at now is I have TWRP and CM13 installed but the phone is in a boot loop.
After research I think that my phone needs a firmware update to be able to run CM13, and there don't appear to be any CM12 ROMs.
Anyhow, I have trouble with your relevant forum post and other places on the internet because my phone is the UL00 variant. Please help me get my phone to boot into anything other than Chinese stock.

Hello, to get out of the loop do the following steps to get back to stock ROM:
Download your phone's latest firmware and extract system.img, boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img from UPDATE.APP using Huawei Update Extractor tool.
Boot into bootloader mode by switching off the phone then pressing only the Vol DOWN button, and connecting it to PC simultaneously.
Flash recovery first, using this command.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Flash all other extracted files similarly firing these commands.
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img
After doing this put that very UPDATE.APP from which you extracted the files in dload folder of your external SDCARD.
Switch off your phone, and press Vol UP + Vol DOWN + Power button simultaneously.
Your device will now get to the full stock firmware.
Hope this helps you a bit.
I am trying to return to stock after I bricked my Honor 5x. I get this error --> "error: command not allowed." My phone was rooted before I tried to return it to stock. What is causing the problem?
Had this problem days ago,
Fixed my problem by downloading Emui for my honor kiw-l21 "B130-Kuwait for me" then extracted the ZIP file and put "dload" in sd card
After that put phone to charger "Not a Pc Charger" Then pressed power button + Vol. up + Vol. down
EMUI started to install.
Hope that helps.

Yes, if the method of manual flashing doesn't works first, try a normal force update by pressing three buttons.

I can access fastboot, and recovery.
however i am unable to boot into any ROM (AOKP or CM10)
the screen flash white, and the thing just offs.
even if I go back to stock now, this still happens
anyone encountered this before?
ideas to solve?
try to enter into recovery TWRP and choose wipe factory and system. then reboot into bootloader (fastboot) and flash recovery and recovery2 with recovery.img from official ROM. then put official's dload into microSD then reboot. it should flash official ROM.
still the same.
below is my attempt to reboot the tablet into stock recovery to install dload folder.
note the white screen, then the android robot, then switches off.
Hi! Can you solve your problem? I'm having the same with a S7-312u (AT&T version).

Try another ROM and see if this issue is present again

I'm sorry that probably many have asked the same quesiton, but I'm desperate. The case is I followed the guide on rootyourmobile dot com how-to-unlock-bootloader-install-twrp-and-root-huawei-honor-7 to unlock, install twrp and root. All went good until installing SuperSu through TWRP, where the installation process got cancelled and I'm now stuck at honor-logo. I can still access twrp(it's in chinese though), by holding volum up + power, but I dont manage to access fastboot mode.
I realize this is a way to go. I guess my problem is not getting into fastboot, I also tried all options under Reboot in TWRP. Should I let the battery run out? Any help is much appreciated. Hope my phone is not total garbage...

Okay follow these step, if you don't understand any step ask again. But follow these:
Download the UPDATE.APP of the Build number you were on before.
Extract system.img, boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img from that UPDATE.APP
Flash all these files via bootloader mode, to boot into bootloader mode, once a loop is over and you see blank screen on your phone, quickly press Vol DOWN button and while pressing it connect your phone to a PC. If this doesn't work and you get into recovery, then in recovery go to option Reboot, in that select Bootloader.
Once in bootloader mode, flash these files by firing these commands from a CMD, make sure files are situated in the same location where you open up the CMD.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Now after your phone boots up normally, put the same UPDATE.APP from which these files were extracted in dload folder of your external SDcard.
Now switch off your phone and press all the three buttons(Vol UP + Vol DOWN + Power) simultaneously.
Flashing process will start.
Hope this helps.

No need to open a separate threat. Check your post.
Why are you quoting my post and starting a new thread with it?
Hello everyone,
recently I've been having problems with latest marshmallow update so I wanted to downgrade to lollipop and I followed this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7/general/plk-l01-firmwares-updates-official-beta-t3272205
I installed the rollback package all went just fine and then by mistake I installed BETA UPDATES ANDROID MARSHMALLOW 6.0 ( I know how stupid this sounds :crying: )
now my device is not showing any sings of booting because the huawei logo isn't showing anymore just black screen and sometimes it vibrates
so is there any hope of reviving my device ?
Thank you guys .

Use hisuite to reinstall the firmware
Or you can get into fastboot and flash it.

tried many combinations to get into the bootloader with no luck
only black screen with vibrations
First you should unlock bootloader, when you unlock bootloader, you can get into fastboot mode and flash system from that mode.
You can find on Huawei site how to unlock bootloader and get boot unlock code, when you do that then you can flash it with fastboot.
FInd Huawei Extractor Tool and extract BOOT.img, CUST.img, RECOVERY.img and SYSTEM.img from update.app which you want to flash. After that you can flash this files via fastboot. To enter into fastboot mode plug in usb and power on phone holding volume - and power button. After that go into adb folder, if you are using windows, copy files which you extracted into platform-tools and then do this commands.
Commands:
fastboot flash boot BOOT.img
fastboot flash cust CUST.img
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img
fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img

Get a sd card, create a folder called "dload" without quotes.
Copy the file update.app from the latest B380 into the folder.
Have your phone turned off and press vol+- and power until the screen turns on. It should update.

If you can not enter fastboot mode (power + vol down or vol down and connect to pc) take it to Huawei customer service center.
