Hello
I run Redmi 3 with weekly Xiaomi EU ROMs. Problem persists for last 2 month with different ROM builts.
At night I leave Redmi 3 on wifi. At the morning I switch off wifi and it appears that cellular transmission does not work anymore . The phone is logged into the cellular network as ordinary calling works. The only cure is to reboot the phone.
This does not happen during day use.
Seems to me that some settings put cellular transmission off during night inactivity but I cannot find where is this setting.
Help appreciated

Hi, My new Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has network reception problems. Singal is weak, max 2 bars and it drops to zero randomly. 2G/3G got the same problem. Wifi is working fine. I have tried a new SIM card, factory reset, changing all settings but it didnt help. It looks hardware issue.. antennas are not working properly. How can i fix it? Any ideas? I can not find a tear down video for Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 anywhere online.

Which ROM are you currently running? I know that the DELIRIUM ROM has very good signal strength. Sometimes this varies between ROMs. Check your router as well with other devices to make sure it's your phone that is the problem. Try to test it with other phones as laptops usually have beefy WiFi antennas.
I love this phone in every aspect but when making calls, they often drops. Also my 3g connection disapers and "no service" is showing in the status bar. Then of a sudden signal is back again. In the settings i tried prefer 3g 2g and 4g. I have flashed different roms (miui dev, cyanogen 12.1, and now miui 7.1 stable)
Also flashed different modem firmwares P18, P37,P50,P51 and get slightly different resultats but there is something wrong here. When going from flight mode to data on there takes around 20s before getting a signal. Same situation when rebooting the phone.
So, any idea what might causing this please....?

As the title suggests, all of a sudden my wifi and data signals are very weak, wifi being the most affected. If I'm not 15 ft from my router the phone is barely working over wifi. I have a galaxy s7 on the same network and it is not being affected by any slow speeds.
Any suggestions as to what is causing this poor signals all of a sudden?
I'm running ressurection remix on my Kenzo Redmi Note 3

No idea bro I'm having the same problem

Maybe it would be a good idea to post this in the Ressurection Remix thread then
Flash stock Rom. If problem persists it's hardware related.
Thanks I'll try that.

Clean up your network router
I struggled with the same problem off and on and I think I finally figured it out. In my research I discovered that routers cater to the weaker signals by boosting power to them and robbing it from other devices. I changed my network password on my wireless router and logged in with my laptop. I got screaming fast speeds where before I was getting nothing. Of course I was the only device logged on. I then went around the house and reconnected all of my devices to the network with the new password. With a family of five, we have nearly 20 devices connected at the same time. I still have blazing speeds. I also deactivated the "guest" account on the router. I suspect that a neighbor or one of the kids' friends was connected when they came over and the router was still connected when they went home, thus stretching the signal to reach them. Anyhow, I essentially "cleaned" my network of any old or stray devices and I am enjoying full speed access on all my devices that were constantly buffering or cutting out. It won't boost your signal but it should clean up how your signal is shared. Hope it helps.
Check ur firmware. It may be due to old modem
Ok so I just woke up,got my phone , send 2-3 messages through whatsapp and suddenly my wifi disconnects and reconnects (2-3 sec).
This happens once 3-4 days..
Is it my phone or did this happen to you guys too?
Anyone? Same thing happend today. I just wake up my phone (the wifi was connected) , I downloaded an app and then the wifi disconnected for a second ,reconnected.
Could it be the router? Can't test any other as this happens randomly ..sometimes after days ,sometimes after hours..
no one had this problem?

yes, note 4 global (so note 4x)
I have had this kind of issue when i was using any of the custom ROMs. When i reverted back to MIUI9, there was no problem.
I created a hotspot on my another Redmi 4A, then when i connect my Note 4 SD, it disconnects after 6 to 10min. The Wifi automatically connects when Redmi 4A is unlocked.

"Prefer 3G" doesn't connect to data network - known issue confirmed by mi hotline
Hi,
I noticed recently that if i select "prefer 3G" from "preferred network type" then the data connectivity is lost. I use airtel network in Bangalore where 4g is good however in my native, 4g network is not that great and in my previous phone it uses hsdpa (3g) most of the times.
I called up the MI India hotline to check if my poco phone is having this isolated issue since i didn't see anyone else complaining. The customer care executive confirmed that it's a known issue and they are working on it. Could other poco phone users confirm that they see the issue?
Regards,
Sudhakar.
3g problem
I've been using xiaomi for 2 years. Most of the phones have 3g problems. There is no connection with H + icon. It's not 10 minutes. If you turn off the mobile data or plane mode, it comes on. Mi4, mi5, mi6, redmi note 4, redmi 5 plus, all MIUI version and android 6-7-8. I've seen problems with these devices and versions. It only happens when you connect with 3g. or 3g preferential. an annoying problem.
Thanks for confirming.
I have quite a lot of problems with this phone.
1. As of now the 4g/LTE is not working too. This happened 2 weeks earlier as well. The service center guys updated the phone to latest and did factory reset. Then it started working. Now again today the 4g/LTE data not working. The phone is on latest software and i even did a factory reset still not working.
2. Many times people told me that my phone is not reachable. During those times even outgoing calls were not happening until i switch to 2g manually.
3. As mentioned already data does not work on 3g.
I had so much expectations on this phone. But now disappointed.
