hey have look at this screenshot..!
The person that provided me this screenshot said that he is developing a new kernel.
But then i saw the score not validated as it was red but then he said would release the kernel to select users and also he said he will be making a video on the kernel highlights.
But how did he attain such high scores???
Holy crap how is that even possible ? Who is this magician ? It doesn't look like overclock , CPU score is less important than our actual values (24000 for 1804 + 1440 MHz)
Need some explanation but wow , wait &see
ol I got almost 100k once on old guyver kernel + eu miui dev with kernel tweaks and heavy debloat on my 2GB ram model k3nzo
but thats the reason I dont trust this benchmark...
Ok so i contacted the guy named Riju and he said his work would take another week to compare before releasing it to the public.
He also mentions the support for nougat rooms and mm miui roms, quick charge 3.0,improved battery performance and better graphics with vulkan api stork
I got higher scores in 3D, CPU and RAM, BUT...UX? Wtf?

I got ~88k with AICP Nougat + Radon (stock settings) + F2FS. Nothing more.

I am using new LineageOS unofficial (7.1.1), nothing special, stock radon settings(3.4), only set the governor to Impulse.
This totally insane!!
Antutu 6.0.1 could be easily used to have a good score I don't know how, but it's in link with the kernel... I could go to 120K with guyver kernel ... but it's bug is just with antutu 6.0.1
https://youtu.be/uOlOSbLp-J8?list=PLyjrOYSiemcuTICj-NBeqHHXqXuukSoIa
antutu is not a good way to judge device performance.
this score is complete bs... this version of antutu can be manipulated to have this high of a score. tell this kernel creator to run a new benchmark using the latest antutu version and see how it fares.
I flash Vulkan API and android N blobs for SD650, got 86k, if overclock might near 100k, but that's too high in the image.
AIDA screenshot for Vulkan API proof.
Lol no updates yet
Kernel release?

does numbers really matter? i highly doubt there's a noticeable difference in performance between this guy's score and the typical benchmark score of our phones.

Performance will feel better for sure. Battery life, system stability, product life and thermals will suffer though. Which do you find more important is the real question I guess.
but why do u want this score overclocking means higher risk of damage an just getting 20000 more wont do any wonders, apps incompatible will stay like that. It is a great phone which in my opinion dosent need overclocking atleast for now.
Would you say that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is "fast" in day-to-day use? A higher rating indicates that you think the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 exhibits fantastic performance. Like, is it as fast as your tears when you watch The Titanic?
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Very good even with 2gb ram
MTK note 4 is lightning fast. Never wait for anything. Gave SD version to wife.

Really constructive comment there.
And you would be wrong. The topic is "overall speed". No contest, the MTK wins hands down.
In fact, from experience, not what some other people "think", I can't think of one thing the QC version does better.
(Never) SLOW.
Running AOSPEx latest build on Mido 4/64gb Version, the antutu result is 64447.
I have the global version, I say the performance of this device is far better than my old Galaxy S5 G900F. But I do feel custom ROMs influence the performance quite a bit.
My Redmi Note 4X is very stable and fast.
I play many games like Real Racing 3 and I get a stable framerate (60fps).
fast enough for my needs: podcasts, email, gps, internet, skype, calls/texts, low res gaming.
Very fast and reliable in sustained operation.
I had my mido transcode a bunch of h264 videos using x265 (arm7l build). All 7 clips, each 41 minutes long were finished at 74-hour mark, tying the performance of S625 to similarly clocked Core2Quad.
So for all 74 hours the CPU was loaded at 100% and had not glitched or crashed the transcode.
Throttling was within acceptable limits, frequency fell down to 1689MHz once ambient reached 37°C and went up again to 2016MHz with 18°C ambient.
For geeks it might be a good idea to fix some thermal paste on the SOC to extend it to the back Al chassis for more effective dissipation. Stock dissipates more through the front screen than through the back panel.
It's not bad.

I own both versions and in day to day usage there's actually no difference in performance. So the snapdragon variant is better here.
LineageOS works great. Variant Snapdragon 4/64GB
My Mido Redmi Note 4 ia doing really well. it is only 3 Gb of RAM, but is satisfactory to my daily needs.
The performance of Redmi note 4 is fast and efficient in handling heavy games and apps, and the battery to keeps upto the mark, it has cool looking aesthetics and what else can I say??, it's the bang for the buck at that price range!!!

One guy achieved 290k on MIUI 10 China beta version so I think we can achieve it when we get the MIUI 10 stable build. Cause when mi6 was announced they told that it can achieve 182k but it even got 200k antutu score so I think there's a problem with the rom I guess. With custom roms it will perform like a beast.
I got from GSM Arena article that Mi8 is tuned for sustained performance and actual real world performance also, as after 10-15 minutes it even improved from 75% to 77%, but other Snapdragon 845 processors are tuned for benchmarks 5-10 mimutes performance and after that they fall down hard with crazy throttling...

Can anyone port blackshark miui rom ( stable / beta ) for Poco f1
Reason - Blackshark is highly optimised for gaming and there must be some serious optimisations in terms of performance too on the software side
Poco scores like 300K on Antutu
But i have seen many a times its 3Dmark scores are way beyond low
Links provided below -
Xiaomi Black Shark Review
https://benchmarks.ul.com/hardware/phone/Xiaomi+Black+Shark+review
Xiaomi Pocophone F1 Review
https://benchmarks.ul.com/hardware/phone/Xiaomi+Pocophone+F1+review
No matter what tweak you do yours scores never gonna reach that level
Why ? I know benchmarks are just numbers it doesn't matter when you have fluidity performance
But the 3D scores test are really low and i have noticed some serious frame drops in games like mc5 ( MODERN COMBAT 5 )
I hope someone will look into it and make available for such
I been searching for the same thing. Hope someone comes up with it
I wonder how the note 9 performs so high in 3d mark? Have you seen the scores?

Not just note9, all the flagships from samsung this year show extraordinary performance on 3dmark which is a more renowned benchmark in the gaming world for both mobile and desktops.
Although these are way bad in Antutu where the Chinese devices have taken up the top spots.

Maybe they are being paid AFUC gpu used in Exynos is not that powerful compared to Adreno by a huge margin
This could be a nice ideea, a rom made ONLY for gaming performance (with the best gaming optimisations, latest GPU drivers, mods etc)

Exactly!!! That's why the Exynos variants have about 1k less scores as compared to the 845 variants.
I honestly don't see the point. It will still share the same drivers and that's where the problem lays. Let's take the GameCube/Wii emulator called Dolphin, it runs better on the Nvidia Shield TV than it does on any phone even though the SOC is older on the Nvidia Shield TV because the drivers are far better than what you find on a Snapdragon device

We all know how benchmark score works. If I pay some handsome amount for my 5 years old Lumia 1320, Antutu will show insane score for that device as well.
so i know that this phone is 4 years old. but in 2016/2017 it had a high end cpu/4gb ram(even today it has a higher antutu scores than lots of newers models). yet it feels so laggy to work on after some use, mine still has stock android. but i feel like when swaping between apps, or using them , it just feels crappy. also the phonebook behave weird, can't add phone numbers cause i get this thing ''phonebook stoped working'' , and almost all my contacts dissapeared like i deleted them. i'm not the type of person that changes phones every year,i had mine 3 years now. but i think i'm just gonna give up on this phone, and get something that gets software updates
Things get corrupted after a while, apps you've installed running in background hogging resourses, etc. Do a factory reset, or better still, flash a recent Anroid 9 or 10 rom. This phone still flies on the right rom.
Heyyo, yeah depending on your build of EUI ROM? It'll suck. Anything prior to 19s is definitely garbage. X821 19s was pretty good and same with x829 20s or x820 30s (albeit with ads). The best way to experience EUI ROM is CrisBalGreece modified versions.
Otherwise? I highly recommend custom ROMs. We have a lot of great Android 9 ROMs and Android 10 is pretty decent albeit with more bugs.

It simply because the chipset it is using is a "bad" one..... You can see this with every Snapdragon 820 and 821 phones(Zuk Z2, Google Pixel 1(OG) etc) ... They heat up and throttle down easily = lag... on paper the 82x should be able to outperform a SD625 any day but not so in real life.... with custom ROM they are much more manageable... I think you should definitely be fine with custom ROM unless you are planning on gaming on it...

The Xperia Z3 Compact are Snapdragon 801.... Those were great... on paper SD820 or 821 should be miles ahead in performance compared to 801 or 800... but IRL on most of the phones they usually suck... (I did saw someone swear that his Oneplus 3 ran great after getting angry because I said SD820 821 are bad chipsets... then again Oneplus 3/3T probably have a much bigger ROM community both dev and user wise)
unfortunately I also just recently took my Le Max 2 from the drawer and started fiddling with these new android 9/10 roms, I can't give much advice... I'm currently on Android 9 Lineage it's pretty stable.
Generally, you'd want custom ROM so you can remove the bloatware, install a custom kernel so you can use a kernel that better manage the chipset(battery or usagewise) and a config that might suit your usage...CMIIW

so today i have instaled the first time a custom ROM,after struggling with twrp for 2hours . i have instaled AospExtended ROM V6.0 [X2] (adroid PIE) . it move more smoothly for sure, but not sure it moves this way beucase it's just a fresh rom..will way some weeks to see if it keeps up.
and about instaling a custom kerne . isn't that coming instaled with the ROM?
I have my device for nearly two years, and I am using eui 6.0.30s CBG cleaned edition since last year... I never face any kind of lag or bug except the lag caused by power save mod, which automatically enables itself when the battery goes down under %5. I think full wipe+reinstall firmware would be a great solution for you.
Heyyo, I definitely don't agree that 820/821 is bad lol... That's ridiculous. It's true that back in 2016 no one cared about proper cooling for the SoC though. I've seen people mod their x2 and zl1/0's with thermal pads or non-conductive thermal paste and get a heck of a lot better thermal management for just a few pennies of extra cooling.
On any pie or Q ROM though, we do have tuned thermal-engine.conf by Shiva which helps quite a bit and also allows for better sustained performance too which also performs a lot better than EUI ROM which focuses more on lower temperatures than balancing thermals and performance.
Anywho, yeah, if you're upset with performance of EUI ROM? I'd definitely recommend a custom ROM. Anything on pie that's actively maintained is a good idea.
Android 10 ROMs still sometimes have performance stutters for now... So hopefully later on it'll work better, so that's why I recommend for now sticking with pie.

Nexus 5 was SD800 and was known for overheating issues
https://www.technobezz.com/fix-overheating-problem-nexus-5/
Like I said, the main thing would be to switch to a custom ROM that has Android Pie and is decently updated. Most of those pie custom ROMs will have pretty decent thermals while still delivering decent performance.
