I got reliance JIo preview offer (unlimited 3 month calling and 4g surfing free) . On my A7(2016) i noticed that Volte sign is not there on the status bar and I was dependent on JioJoin app for VoLTE calling. But I managed to get the VoLTE working on my phone and no longer need JioJoin app to make calls. Stock dialer is working good.
The trick is :
1. Put the JIO SIM in SIM-1 tray of the phone.
2. Go to settings and factory reset the phone.
That's it. After reset, your phone will restart and it will start showing the VoLTE symbol on the status bar. Note that during this process keep your JIO SIM inserted.
Hope it may help someone.

But i used my jio sim directly one the 1st slot....before that i was using airtel 4g on slot 1....i havent factory reset at all...everything is working fine for me....!!!

I am using SM-A710FD (UAE). This method is not working for me.

I am not sure about UAE handset but if the model is A710FD then it should support VoLTE. Do one thing, download and flash the latest indian MM firmware from SamMobile. Keep your JIO SIM in TRAY 1 slot during that process and you should be able to see VOLTE.

Tried that too. No luck. My friend has Galaxy J2 (UAE).
I put my sim in J2 that too not working.
My another friend has Galaxy J2 (India).
Tried with this phone.
Surprise, it's working with VoLTE.
Any suggestions. ?

Jio has thenselves blocked VOLTE hence it is not working. I have a5 2015 and jio was intially showing VOLTE but now all of a sudden it stopped showing

At last I got it. I flashed the Indian firmware first and did a factory reset. But still I didn't receive the volte. This happened a week back. But yesterday I received a software update for my phone. After updating the software 200mb I received the volte symbol.

hi every one i am newbie. i have indian version honor 7 bought from flipkart.com.. i flashed uk firmware b100 and i got dual sim enable on my indian version honor 7 but when i forced update to MM 6.0 ( UK version MM 6.0 firmware B320) by pressing volume up+down+power it succesfully upgarded to marshmallow but i got only one sim enabled..can any one help me out to get again second sim working on android 6

The UK version that is PLK-L01 is also having dual sim support, but you shouldn't have flashed UK version over Indian version without debranding it, as both will have different modem partition.
The solution is to have to go back to the PLK-UL00 builds.
Make sure u have purchased dual sim because indian version of honor 7 is single sim
Check does u have 2differnt imei no. Or one (*#06#)

When the second sim was enabled, were you using both sims at the same time?
Might be a thing easily solved by a factory reset.

I got both SIM towers on the notification bar. Incoming call was working for both the SIM's.
All SIM related apps were not working.
I think u will need basic calling app phone app messeging app settings app supporting dual sim ,extrcted from dual sim rom because without them options of 2nd sim are not enabled

No , u cant . The lte bands present are different. Xt1526 works great with jio. I am using it now

Not getting signal,screen displaying Emergency call only.
Went to service centre they told me that it won't run in india as it is from saudi arabia.
clearly a baseband issue..
as the honor 5x is not carrier unlocked, which is carrier specific and regional specific, jio is only for indian models bro..
i dont know if it can be solved by any kinda patch, but it cannot be solved in stock..

Unless you are in Jammu, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar or Jharkhand, you can access JIO Network.
As your KIW-L21 supports one of the JIO bands - Band 3.
I use KIW-L23 in Tamilnadu. My mobile also have only Band 3 support. it works fine.
If you are residing in any of the above mentioned non supporting states, then you can try the method suggested by Romiui above.

it doesn't matter which rom u r using . make sure u make EFS backup its very very important .
after backup The EFS Throw TWRP send it to somewhere save in ur laptop
unlocking code is not needed since u have custom rom so u have already unlocked ur device .
just follow the steps to change IMEI Throw The Link i Sent . I never tested but i read feedbacks into same web site and get confirmed that the app working !.,.,

Rom: Resurrection Remix (RR-N-v5.8.3-20170731-x2-Official)
Location : Malaysia
Telco : Maxis
VOLTE : Telco not supported
Problem statement
Unable to call when choose "GSM/WCDMA/LTE" at preferred network type in simcard settings. I choose this settings "GSM/WCDMA/LTE", i will get LTE signal connected and can surf internet for less than 5 mins.
When I make call on LTE signal, the signal switch to "H", but the call is not success, it terminated the call after around 10seconds. After it terminated the call, it switch back to LTE signal.
If i choose "GSM Only" at preferred network type in simcard settings, I get "E" signal , and no problem in making or receiving call and surf internet. But the surfing speed is very slow since is only 2G.
If I choose "WCDMA Only' at preferred network type in simcard settings, I got no internet signal (none of E,H or LTE connected), it just go to emergency call only
I tried flashed to many kind of rom like, Lineage , Pure Nexus, Stock EUI and etc, the problem still the same.
I did used QualcommTool.exe to change the frequency band for CDMA/GSM/WCDMA/LTE according to my telco provided frequency.
I did tried select all or select exactly same with my telco frequency , the problem still the same.
I did use *#*#4636#*#* to change the preferred network. I do not sure is this relate with settings at preferred network type in simcard settings. But changing this have nothing effect.

Well, try 19s of x821(indian version) it's optimised for VoLTE.

Noted. Previously I tried 20s of Indian ROM, but it keep on restart. Thanks for your suggest, I would give it a try.
Btw, my telco do not have voLTE services. I problem isn't unable to use voLTE.

Well, actually 19s is the last version of indian ROM. I suggest instal 15s and update from it to the latest one. You can find the rom here.

Yeah, VoLTE doesn't work with LeEco but this last version is highly optimised and all errors reported regarding 4G LTE are been fixed.

I flashing 15S indian version.
But it stuck at EUI screen.
I did dalvik, cache, system and data wipe.
Then flash using twrp.
Flashed 2 times.
Got any idea ?

When you change rom, you need to wipe everything. Then flash the rom. Patience is much more needed. It took more time to load when you flash a rom

I let the phone to boot up for whole night. This morning wake up see it still at the booting screen . The one showing EUI wording. Lol..
It not able to boot.

Morning.
I found root cause for my problem.
My phone problem is unable to connect to 3g signal. Due to it unable connect to 3g signal, that's why when I on LTE, I unable to make call and receive call due to calling will switch from LTE to 3g. After it switched to 3g, it keep on connecting but failed.
Please refer to image below. The state keep on connecting and disconnected at B1 IMT 2100 band.
I did tried to put my simcard to another le max 2, it works fine. So I believe is not telco problem.

G'Day,
That was almost 3 years ago and I am unsure exactly what I did.
However I can remember booting to TWRP and wiping the Dalvik cache and reinstalling Magisk v19.1
Then installed MagiskManager v7.3.4
Any version beyond that I have had issues with on this model.
I am currently using Lineage OS on this phone and is super fast: https://github.com/fakemanoan/LineageOS-Releases/releases
Not sure if VoLTE is working now as I don't have that service with my current provider.
