I found in another forum a couple of files which allow us to add MegaBass, one of the most beloved features of Sony Ericsson's W(alkman) phone series. I bundled them in an update.zip to be flashed with Clockwork Mod or XRecovery, and given that they work in all Xperia phones, I've decided to spread them around
I hope it's useful!
MegaBass Installer
MegaBass Uninstaller
*Note* I didn't make these files nor am I savvy enough to discuss their effect. They've been tested in most models with success, though, so again, I distribute them in the hope that they can be useful.
nice...thanks^^
does it enhance the speaker bass or the bass for headphones?

You are killing your phone speaker dude. It will not stay long.
i not use xloud aggressively... xloud just to boost in-call volume.. it's seem useful when you need. depends on user.. thanks for advise mate.
Yo but you should know that MegaBass has effect with headphone not with speaker and xLoud has effect with speaker not headphone. So use xLoud will not increase Bass effect lol
Sent from Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 - Stock Android 2.3.3 Modded
If xrecovery accepts Edify scripts, the file should work in xrecovery as well.

maybe he uses the big speaker to listen when he calls,so therefore maybe he is right.
So how can you tell if mega bass is on?
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
Tested , not so much changes
Does work too with xrecovery 0.3? Does xrecovery accepts edify scripts?
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
I've flashed with xrecovery but can't see any option for mega bass anywhere.
EDIT:
SPOKE TOO SOON, just inserted my headphones and played some music, MASSIVE DIFFERENCE

Hello,
I have seen some threads on this while searching but those were old threads.
What are some of the method that people are using to increase the speaker volume of this phone without sounds distortion?
Please share your methods as I would like to increase speaker sound without losing much quality.
I tried AudioBoostSGS2, but the sound distortion was too much, and quality was very bad.
Thanks
Try the volume up button.

(sorry, didn't realise it was only for headphones)
Does Voodoolouder really increase speaker volume? Noticible difference?
I do not want to increase headphones volume, but want speaker volume to increase.

Mate, your confusing me. You said volume+ app doen't work on stock ROms (indicating you might be stock). No you have CheckROM, so why not nan-droid backup (just in case) and try it ? Best of luck.
I've searched everywhere and haven't found anything. I was wondering if acid sound mod is available for the galaxy s4? I experimented with acid sound mod v7 but it killed my in-call audio.
Thanks for your help guys.

^Thanks for the reply...Im on hyperdrive with viper audio installed and enabled but it is nowhere near what acid soundmod does. Is it just me? Or am i not setting viper4 audio correctly? Maybe you have a suggestion on how you have it setup in your phone? I left acid sound mod at its out of box settings on my gs3 and it sounded phenomenal.
Thanks again.
Interested in this to. The EQ settings in Viper don't seem to change my sound much if at all.

U picked the wrong driver
is anyone have found a right solution to the problem as i am also looking for get it sorted aptly...
I've had some serious success with viper4android, running hyperdrive with ktoons 7/7 kernel. I've never heard such crisp, loud, and bassy music out of my sennheiser HD558's as I have with the viper mod enabled. For me I use the cortexA9 driver. And my settings for viper are simply: under fidelity settings, viper bass, natural, 50hz, 3.5 db. Viper clarity, ozone+, 8db. Also in the aroma installer for hyperdrive I checked the volume option to loud. That's just my experience with the mod. Tweak it to what sounds good for you, and always check to make sure the driver is actually processing the audio.

Hey i tried this:
works with stock marshmallow - sony's MUSIC, headphones, speaker allso, but not with lets say say... tune in radio (maybe other apps not allso).
i still prefer Cyanogenmod's AUDIO FX, so i am again on cm 12.1
but give it a try:

Thanks for all the replies guys. I've tried all of them, but in the end, i settled for a mod that Really increased the sound from my headphones and retained stock quality on @sublinker 's thread. The speaker sound is still low for tones but surprisingly my alarm tone is very loud

Any good sound mod to just increase general sound for z2 mm .291?
I used the mixer_path method to increase headset sound but that method isn't working anymore.
I Hopefully wish someone would recommend me a good mod.
Thanks in advance,,, ??
