so my battery was fully empty now.. i even pressed the power button 100 times after the battery was empty, to make sure all current is out of the phone.
plugged in charger... after 10 seconds phone start itself (after viewing the picture of empty battery) and elephone logo shows short and then back to showing picture of empty batterie cycle. After some minutes, and battery is loaded a little bit, elephone logo cycles again.
So rest in piece my p9000, i can nothing, i cant do anything from my pc because its only starting for like 5 seconds, i cant shut it down because of that and i cant get in factory mode
i am so pissed right now
just wanted to install the new update, everything worked fine like all the times before that and now my phone is ready for the trashcan.
Is there any way to reset the software without getting in factory mode?

the phone turns on and off in a cycle of 5 seconds, so that wont work
and i cant stop that cycle.
even if battery is 0% (i even press power button many times so really its drained out). If i recharge it, the cycle starts again without me doing anything. The Power button is not broken or something. it all began after i started new ota update and the phone rebooted like "mkitty" has the same problem it seems

Same for me, I have no idea how to restart my phone. And i dont want to loose all data I have on it.

have you tried to hold the volume up and power at the same time during the restart process to try and force recovery?

Hello,
Yes . I have tried that.
I have a list of options that come up on the screen.
I have tried them apart from the wipe data/factory reset.
But it is still the same result.
Thank you for help.
Any more ideas?

It said something about wifi and audio update. I followed the instructions as per a previous update (which worked OK). I never took notice of any version numbers etc.

I have all I need to flash a new rom to the bricked phone but when I connect the off phone to my pc the usb not recognised comes up and I cannot flash the rom to the phone. and yes I have the mediatek vcom drivres install. Its actually a great phone. Do you have twrp installed and can you get access to it? You could always boot into twrp transfer over the ROM and install it from there. If you have installed the vcom drivers then when the USB not recognized alert pops up. Go to settings and device manager. Right click the unknown device and click let me pick driver. You should be able to install it from there

The only thing I can suggest is to take the back panel of and unplug the battery. There videos on how to do this if you search YouTube or the forum. Effectively you perform a hard reset of the phone.
If and when you do get it working just twrp installed and do a backup of the whole phone working before performing any future upgrades or Rom changes. Its just better safe then sorry.

thenk you very much for that
The problem is that when I connect the phone on the off to the pc starts again the cycling through the elephone logo so the pc sees the phone for a few seconds in which does not recognises it and then is like the phone goes off until the next cycle so no time to go to device manager and install manually. but thank you for the comment.
removing the battery will void the warranty. I had the phone only since may.

It's unlikely it really matters. Your phone seller not going to take it back or fix it for free just because it's bootlopping. Well they may so just ask them. If you can't get it into recovery then a battery disconnect or contact your seller are your options

thank you

Well in that case all you need is a stock rom and yes just flash them with sp tools and it should start booting again. The fact you can get to recovery is a good sign.

Bricked?

My phone was running at about 60% battery last night, and working fine. It was in my pocket and it vibrated. I was unable to turn it on or reboot it, even after removing the battery. I tried using the battery from my wife's S2 but still no luck. I tried connecting the power supply but it still wouldn't boot so I left it charging overnight.
This morning it alternately flashed a fully green battery and a fully black battery. If I press and hold the power button it starts the boot process - I get past the Samsung splash screen and see the first "Resurrection Remix" splash screen, but then it reverts to displaying the green battery.
Any ideas for how I can revive the phone??

Ok We cant say its bricked!! Because its booting up but not coming to homescreen rite? Are u able to get into recovery or download mode?? If ur able o then wipe the data cache and dalvik cache, reinstall the ROM again.. If Recovery doesnt shw up.. Then Use ODIN to flash original fw!! Even if u still couldn get it.. Order a USB JIG from Ebay and try getting into DOWNLOAD MODE!! Even after this its still working means ITS BRICKED !!
Start download mode and the flash a new stock firmware . And your phone isnt bricked .!
This is why I always make a backup.
If you can get into download mode you can fix it, if you can't it's a service centre job. Pretty simple really.
Try cleaning charging port..

Uh oh...I managed to get into Recovery mode, did a factory reset and kicked off a re-install of the Resurrection Remix ROM from the external SD and it's hung at 50% (for 10 mins now) - at the "Extracting /system..." stage. I daren't interrupt it.
Any ideas???
Yes stop messing
1: If you dint have to save anything, wipe better to full wipe
Flash a stock Rom using Odin, than start again with custom roms.
OR
2: download your custom Rom again and flash, might be corrupt download.

So it's OK to interrupt this ROM flash, even though it's stuck at 50%? Should I just hold the power button or remove the battery??
pull the battery
But I say flash stock Rom first, lengthy procedure I know, but safer
OK I decided to reflash RR 2.3, which had been running fine for a couple of weeks previously. Immediately after flashing (which worked OK) the boot process wouldn't complete - it got as far as the RR splash screen then died (screen blank, and needed a long press on the power button to restart).
This happened several times. Eventually I removed and replaced the battery and it finally booted.
Does this sound like a hardware problem? I've noticed that the phone often runs quite warm, but I don't know if that's normal.
You have to flash stock rom, only way to know if there is something wrong with your phone, run it for couple days.
Now to the heat issue, it is due to

Stuck on Sony Logo - Possible Hard Brick?

So I may have screwed up my phone. I wanted to do a complete fresh install and wiped all the partitions in TWRP (except external and usb).
Then before I got a chance to flash the rom my phone died (didn't realise my battery was low I know my fault).
Now it wont boot past the sony logo and I cant shutdown the phone. holding power does nothing tried holding it for over 30 seconds still nothing.
The phone has been stuck at the sony logo for over an hour and is starting to get very very warm.
Does anyone know how I can shutdown the phone to prevent damaging the battery/cpu? Have I hard bricked the phone? I hope flash tool can detect the phone at the sony logo because I can't shutdown to even boot to flash mode
I Do not have access to a computer at the moment.
Thanks in advance.

Hold Power and Volume Up. That should shut the phone off. If that doesn't work, try the off switch next to the USB Port.
When you do get access to a computer, download SUS and do a software repair to restore your phone to stock (only for locked bootloader). Alternately, you can download a stock .ftf file for your Z2 and flash it via flashtool.
Your phone is not hard-bricked, it is soft bricked. Hard Bricked means that the phone turns into an expensive paperweight dummy handset.
Hope this helps

Force reset it like here: http://userguide.sonymobile.com/ref...product=xperia-z1#!Resetting-your-device.html
and do a factory reset. Go to recovery -> wipe data/ factory reset.
EDIT: or flash again your rom / kernel.

[Q] One S Bricked? Won't boot

So I rooted my HTC ONE S (villec2) today, and I wanted to flash a custom rom on it. I got a recovery (turned out to be a bad one, but it worked either way.... I noticed way too late it was made for HTC One M8) I got TWRP 2.7.1.0 and I got it working on my phone. I then backed up the system, and realized I messed up the recovery. In the meantime I got a CM 12.1 img on it and wiped the thing. The wipe removed the old Android system and the CM I downloaded was a bad download. If I go to recovery in the bootloader, it will just do the HTC white screen with "Entering Recovery" and the red warning logo but it won't get anywhere. It's just stuck there. So now, I'm stuck with a device that won't boot normally - just stuck on the white HTC screen, will boot into bootloader, and I want to know if there's a way of accessing the internal storage without being in the operating system. The worst thing is, there's no external SD Card, all just internal... Please god help me. I'm really stressing out about this since it's the only phone I have and if I lose it.... well I'm practically f-ed.... :crying: I know that I messed a few things up really badly and I'm not sure what state the phone is in.
Also just to add, the phone is barely loading up right now. I'm really scared since it's my only phone and it won't even boot normally right now. It's really acting strange, it was on 90% battery but now it might just be dead... i don't know.... someone please help
I honestly think I screwed it up.... All it does now is just a white flash / flicker when I hold the power button (both only power button and vol down) and that's it. I'm really disappointed right now but oh well.... Maybe just because the battery is not charged.... Also been looking around the other threads and looks like a lot of people had the same issue but with 0 replies...

I have no way of trying the stock rom. I cannot access the phone itself because I deleted the OS. There's a weird thing, that if I plug the USB to the computer, it does the connect windows sound but the phone's internal storage is still not accessible.... So as it turns out I can get to the freaking bootloader but then it just turns off with a white flicker a second later.... I have no clue what to do :crying:
try to hook your device with windows and hold the Volume Down and Power
to see if it can detect it

Alright. I slept through the night and now I'm here trying to resolve this again. Status now, is that when I try to boot it up, it just shows a white flicker and won't turn on. no matter if i try to boot in bootloader or normally. The device doesn't appear to be charging when I plug it in because it doesn't show the LED light for charging. I think it's hard bricked. I tried other threads, showing bright light to the proximity sensor, but nothing happened.
//edit// - My bootloader was unlocked, and I was on S-ON (HTC ONE S, S3 villec2) that might change on your phone and might make the process different
So I fixed it. I will leave the tutorial for anyone in the future that might be having the same issue. If you "locked yourself out" of your system, eg. no OS, and broken recovery just plug it into the computer, try somehow getting into bootloader, go into fastboot and plug the usb cable to your computer so you're in Fastboot USB. Then you can flash a recovery on the phone using a fastboot command. I believe it's fastboot flash recovery _filename_. Just google that, there'll be plenty. Then you have the recovery and you're back on track. After that you can get the rom you wanted. Just don't make my mistake, and check if your device is exactly the same as the files you're downloading for it. I messed up there . Anyway, good luck everyone!

yea
Happy to hear that u have fixed your phone add "solved " to the title and add a fast tutorial for help purpose

Help! Xperia Z Ultra without OS and unable to charge it.

I accidently wiped off my system with cache and others with twrp, I was going to flash another ROM with it but i ended up on the SONY screen and now I'm unable to get into recovery itself and the sad part is that phone was on very low charge at that moment and it has drained now, even if it charges a bit it shows up at that SONY logo with no signs of further charging.
I want to charge it so that i can enter flashmode or fastboot mode so that I can atleast flash it with a ROM.
Really disturbed without OS and can't even do anything to it.
Please HELP! or tell about any charging signs or something.
Thanks

why not turn phone off and let it charge then? you can force phone to shutdown by pressing/holding power + vol up button for 30sec
If it does not charge (it happened to me once on my ultra) I understand your concern.
Here is how I over came the issue, i downloaded flashtool and a flashable rom.
Start flashtool, chose to flash device, flashmode, open your rom, in the exclude section, exclude all but the first line, plug in your phone in flash mode, flash line 1, remove your phone, keep flashtool open, stick the phone it on the charger for 10mins (this seems to give it a very small charge, enough for a minute flashing) do the same with each line of the rom.
I will not say this is going to work, but it has worked for me.
At one point (after the 5th line or so) it just starts accepting a charge then you can finish the whole rom.

Samsung Note Edge (SM-N915G) Bootlooping issue. Need help recovering

Hi everyone.*
I'll give you a background on what has happened and would be appreciated you guys could offer some assistance or steer me to the right direction.
I have a Samsung Note Edge (SM-N915G) that suddently restarted randomly while it was sitting on my desk. The phone is not rooted and USB debugging was not switched on prior to crashing if I recall correctly.
The phone is now bootlooping or freezes at the optus screen. Sometimes its barely gets on the home screen before restarting again.
I have tried the below but with no success.
1. Replacing brand new batteries.
2. Changing the firmware through ODIN v3.13.1 (tried both old and current firmwares). It passes through ODIN but still the same problem.
3. Tried to recover data via programs like Dr. fone to recover the data but it keeps failing.
Basically I want to recover the data thats on the phone is my main concern, then recover the phone. Last option put it back to factory state.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi , probably you was using fast charging option , and that reduces battery life.
So you said that you replaced new battery , you must be sure that is exactly like yours , because many store has a copy of batteries silimar like Original.
Next what you can try is to Wipe Cache Partition from recovery and if you are able to use your phone , go fast to the Settings and disable Fast Cable Charging.
See how to do that , I hope you fix this issue . : ) Good luck

Non of those worked as I have also tried them all before.
I'm trying to avoid factory reset as like I mentioned before
Could possibly be hardware issue.
If it is a power issue, then why am I able to still power up into download mode without turning off...
