Rooted my x with CM 13 about a month ago. All was workign fine up until yesterday where my phone becomes unresponsive and only shows a solid white LED. What does it mean? I can get in to the bootloader and reboot my phone, but it will eventually go black and show the white LED again.

I also had that issue and you can press the power button for around 20 sec for quick fix. The new community build doesnt have that problem for me atleast. Did a clean install.

won't boot. seems responsive when I press power + volume keys (white led lights up).
edit: device gets detected on flashmode using flashtool but it gets undetected soon after and the LED indicator becomes red.
This is exactly what happened to me yesterday! I seem to have flashed a bad recovery after I finally decided to unlock the BL after much deliberation and lusting for some Kitkat goodness. Now it won't turn on. BUT:
It WILL give me a red LED (steady) when I do the Power + Vol-Up dance while connected to USB. However, the computer won't recognize it since it won't turn on at all. No SUS, no EMMA, no nothing. It won't go into Fastboot mode or Flash Mode.
There will be white-purplish LED action when I press Power + Vol-Up. First a single blink, three in a row when I hold it for a few seconds. I won't get a red light when not on USB.
That's all. I had the XTZ charged over night (with red LED on) but that didn't change a thing. This is the first time ever bending an Android to my will went sour and I have done it with dozens. Does anyone have any idea what to do?

Indeed. But since it was clinically dead, I now have a brand spanking new N7 for sale. Let see how much in value it lost in one day
so i was flashing CM 11 nightly + crapalmer's kernel + gapps 2014/01/05
and then i rebooted the device
and then it didn't boot up. i was expecting the white "HTC" screen but i didn't see anytning, so i panicked
i tried button holding for well over a minute(3 buttons flashed but nothing happened), charging (no led light), and RUU (failed cuz it didn't see my device)
I did a bit of searching, and some threads told the OP to return it and get a refurb
is there any way to fix the black screen or is the device fried?
if it is fried, can i get a refurb? (its unlocked and all the jazz).

Let it sit on the charger over night and see if that does anything.

I''m not 100% promising anything, but this has worked for other people to bring it back to life, best of luck with the device.
I recently decided to root my Xperia Z Ultra and used a modified version of towel root to successfully achieve this, but had no custom recovery. Then using an app I flashed a ROM, the Google Play Edition of android kitkat, which afterwards I was asked to reboot my phone. It just shut down and on charge the notification flashes red, when I hold down power and volume up to reboot it buzzes three times but nothing else, and if I hold down volume up while plugging it in the notification goes blue and stays blue but my PC doesn't recognise it. In Sony PC companion I would be able to repair it by resetting everything, but I am unwilling to do this as I think that it might be a battery issue and it requires an 80% battery to reset. I really don't want to pay someone to fix this so any light would be appreciated. I can give more info if needed.
Thanks
You still have a locked bootloader. Flash a FTF to get back on stock and then unlock the bootloader
Thanks

Thanks for the quick response, when using a Sony tool to reset my phone it said I need 80% + charge to do so, because the screen won't turn on I don't know how much charge it has so I didn't use that tool. Does flashing a FTF require much charge? Because I'm not sure if its charging at all at the moment. I'm glad it might be such a simple solution and if I don't need much charge then hopefully I can fix it!!!

Hey, I have flashed an FTF but the phone still will not boot and now has a continuos red light on charge. I'm thinking this is a battery issue so how would I go about fixing this?
EDIT: The phone has now booted and is working fine! thank you so much!

If you do plan on unlocking bootloader be sure to backup your TA partition beforehand.

Yeah I did that but it was still 'stuck' I fixed it by holding down both volume buttons then also the power button for about 10secs. There was a small vibration and the light went off. After that just switched it back on and bow it's all rooted and running perfectly. Thanks guys.

Hi all,
My phone is rooted, and I'm not on any special ROM as I only really wanted access to the WIFI thether app. Everything has been running smooth for months, but now the phone won't go past the white htc ONE logo. Here's what I've tried:
Holding the power button down does nothing.
Holding the volume button down with the power button down does nothing.
Holding the volume up button down with the power button down reboots the phone in this way: Black screen, White HTC screen with red letters saying it's a developers build, then the Sprint Spark animation and the screen goes to full brightness, then the animated white htc ONE splash screen and the screen goes to low brightness and stays there.
Can I get any help to get to some other screen?
Thanks in advance.,

Well, rebooting it over and over and over (and over) again finally got me to the home screen. I think I'm about to give up root and start totally clean, in case it's dying and I need to get a replacement. Now I have to google how to remove the root.
Thanks for listening to my sad story.

Ruu it. That will clean it up. I have a couple posted sprint ruu
I have the Verizon LG G3. I rooted the phone and had Jasmine rom 7.0 and TWRP installed and it ran flawlessly for the past 2 weeks or so. Today I went to look at the phone and while it looked like the phone was powered down the screen was slightly brighter than normal. I tried to double tap the screen to wake it, and then I tried to use the power button. No response. I pulled the battery, stuck it back in and turned the power on. I get to the LG logo and then the phone goes dark and the led starts flashing red and blue until I pull the battery again. I then try and manually go into TWRP mode and I get to the menu and press factory reset it then asks me if I am sure I press yes and it turns the screen off and back to the flashing red and blue LED with a black screen. The same thing happens no matter what option I try and when I try to go into download mode as well. I get to download mode but once I let go of the volume button it goes back to the black screen with the red and blue flashing led. The firmware screen never appears so not sure what else I can do. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Very weird, when the phone is flashing the red and blue LED and the screen is black if I press the down volume button the LED's stop blinking and the LG logo comes on the screen and just sits there. I tried again to use recovery to factory reset to put me into TWRP and again after I hit the yes button the phone turns off and the blue and red LED's start flashing. I am ready to fire this phone into a wall. It was working perfectly fine and then p00f.
I'm sorry to say I think the only help would be a warranty repair if it's under a year or insurance if you have that.
Without being able to keep it in Download mode, I wouldn't know what else to do.

I believe your only hope is this, and you will need to carefully adapt it to the G3. You can use a linux live cd, or run linux in virtual machine - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
23C img's here - https://www.mediafire.com/folder/dz9jknpwjdifw/23c
Or, if you have a microphone crack like many of us do have it replaced for that.
Thanks guys...my phone does not show up at all in Device manager (so this doesn't apply "LG detected as qhsusb_bulk in device manager") not to mention that sounds a bit too complicated to me. I think there is something hardware wise wrong with the phone. I didn't screw anything up, it was running Jasmine 7.0 perfectly. TWRP was installed and I had not tried to do any other flashes since installing Jasmine a while ago so I think something crapped out. The phone always felt way too warm even when I wasn't doing anything with it and this is before I rooted it so maybe it was just a dud. I will bring it back to Verizon as roirraW "edor" ehT suggested and see what they say. Thanks again for the replies..

Definitely sounds like a hardware issue. I hope you still have the manufacturer warranty and a backup phone just in case they won't exchange yours for another :S
They wouldn't do a swap but they are sending me a new phone by Fed EX. The phone was only 3 months old so definitely still warrantied. They were all pretty flabbergasted by the flashing blue and red LED, even after getting into stock recovery nothing could be done from there.
