I have a custom recovery called, "teamwin recovery project 3.0,2-0" I've gone thru the settings and found a wipe menu, it doesnt work. I've factory reset, reset the cache, system, data, even format data. Didnt work.
Im totally out of options and i really dont want a bricked phone, beacuse i still have another year and a half in my contract... Please help

You will have to flash a stock rom back to your device. If you can't find one then you may have to send it in for repair.

reply
Yeah, that is what i just did now! It worked, its now stuck in a boot cycle. turning on going to the galaxy s6 loading screen, flashes to the tmobile loading screen, then resets its cycle.
How do you fix this?

Your phone is in android boot loop which is a common issue with android phones.
Solution;
Enter your phone into recovery mode by pressing and holding "Power + Volume Up + Home" in the power down status.
Now in the recovery mode perform, "wipe cache partition" and "factory data reset".
If this didn't worked, flash it with stock firmware.

SOLVED
My phone is working 100% now thanks

Flash philz kernel and then you should be able to get to recovery then flash a custom Rom

seriously bro?? I found the thread to that kernel but that list is never ending.. God knows which kernel is for my phone!!
Only comment if you have answers please !!!!
All the videos that i watched online show how to install philz kernel on a working phone.
My phone is kinda dead... so what needs to be done after flashing philz kernel? Tell me the next steps please..
Does it still go to download mode? Does odin still see it?

Make is easy on your self and flash lss firmwear and flash lss kernel "near the top of download list" chances are you dont have an os now odin has failed to flash. Hooper8 thread has good info on flashing problems! Read that before you try.
Pics clicked a minute back... does this help...
Pls read hooper8 thrsad

Same problem here, my phone was working fine then all of a sudden i noticed it was dead, tried rebooting it, nothing happened, boot loop, tried to access CWM, i got the lower section menu of CWM but nothing else, a black screen with the buttons.
So next i said, let me use odin to flash a new kernel. That failed and ever since that failed, i cannot do anything except enter download mode. If i power the phone on, i get a [phone-problem-computer] image in yellow with text that says somehting like problem loading software, please conntect to kies recovery mode. of course that never works.
And everytime i try to flash absolutely anything on this device, Odin DOES see the device, and the second i press flash/start, when it reacher nand write start, it hangs there, stuck doing nothing.
I took the phone to a friend who has an Riff jtag box, he soldered his jtag to the phone and said the memory chip is not dead, i can read its capacity normally. But when he tried to write to it, it did not work, kept giving him errors, he said he has never encountered such a behavior before. And then i had to leave.
Up to now, my phone is still dead and i have no idea what to do. It only enters download mode, but at the same time, this is useless since flashing anything simply does not work. Anyone knows what the reason could be?
FYI, i was on NeatROM 5.5, which comes with Philz Kernel.
NAND is stuffed/corrupted. How/why - who knows ? Motherboard replacement if you've already tried JTAG. Could be something hardware going on that caused the chip to become 'damaged'.

[Q] HELP I have Soft Bricked my SGS4 I337

Hey guys i have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S4, 16GB, SGH-I337, with the safestrap custom recovery. and 2 days ago i tried to do a factory reset so i could have enough space to install a custom rom. Through my carelessness , i seem to have wiped the OS off of the device. Now if you try to turn the device on its stuck on the "Samsung custom" boot screen with the unlock icon in the middle. The device can go into download mode but fails to go into recovery mode.
Every time i try to go into recovery it displays the following:
Odin Mode
Product name: SGH-I337
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
Knox Kernel Lock: 0x0
Knox Warrenty Void: 0x0
CSB-CONFIG-LSB:0X30
Waite Protection: Enable
eMMC Burst MODE enabled
Then the phone-computer caution emblem comes up in the middle of the screen and says, " Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". So ive tried Upgrade and Initialization and the Emergency Recovery feature but both failed. They both return a pop up message saying that " Firmware emergency recovery stopped due to GALAXY S4(SGH-I337) error. If the problem persists, please contact the Samsung service centre.". So then i tried the odin method and downloaded both the 1337DB and DL file and tried running them in Odin. Odin fails and shows this in the messages: <ID:0/004> Added!!
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..

this occurs whether i check the boxes or not and if i add a pit file or not. Then on my phone it says in red, " SW REV. CHECK FAIL: fused:4, Binary 1".
Everything that i have tried has resulted to a fail from Kies to Odin so right now im just about ready to give up and get a new phone. Is my Galaxy S4 still saveable and if so how would i go about saving it? thanks
(oh and sorry for the long question i just wanted to describe exactly what i was going through so you guys have all the information you need in order to develop a solution to my problem, if their is one.)
anyone please?
Looks like you have a knox enabled rom... have you tried mf3 or mk2. I think that of you didn't have at least mf3 that would have worked. I could be wrong on that part but if you cannot use your phone I wpuld try flashing one of those roms.

S3 - i9300t boot problem

My friend gave me his phone, we woke up in morning to find the phone switched off (was left charging when he went to bed) and phone doesn't switch on. Its stuck at first boot screen and doesn't charge. I have been able to charge battery with external battery charger.
I tried booting phone in recovery but no luck, phone still stuck at first boot screen, same with vol down. Doesn't matter whether I try Volup+Power+Home or VolDown+Power+Home buttons, lcd lights up and phone shows first boot screen and gets stuck, If I keep holding buttons, it restarts and gets stuck at first boot screen again.
Anything I can do? Other than replacing main board?
Try a usb jig, but otherwise no.
OK, So I used a different computer, put the phone into download mode and connected to odin and it found it over COM5. Loaded file and clicked start. Following is the Log.

Are you using an all in one firmware or separate parts?.
Are you sure you're flashing a stock firmware for your region and carrier?.

I tried australian firmware, sperate pit files, us frimware with australia pit files, bottom line is even erasing partition is not successful. After doing more research, I came to same conclusion, nand is dead, if I find a cheap motherboard, i will revive the phone otherwise its a nice paperweight I guess.

Galaxy S6: Bricked After Trying To Install Xposed

Pretty sure i bricked this to no repair.
So got my Sprint s6 edge few months ago and rooted it a week after. Sadly i dont know what i used rom wise to root it since its been a month+. Sadly i reformated pc awhile back so can't see the files i used.
Got bored and wanted to try and install xposed to add some new features to my phone. So just tried and i'm prety sure i bricked it hard...
what i followed
gs6.wonderhowto.com/how-to/install-xposed-framework-your-samsung-galaxy-s6-s6-edge-0163918/
It said make a recovery so i did by following
gs6.wonderhowto.com/how-to/install-custom-recovery-your-galaxy-s6-s6-edge-0161619/
I did what he did and after it asked for a reboot i rebooted and it got stuck on samsung boot logo saying "Recovery not SEANDROID Enforcing" in top left corner.
So i googled how to remove root and how to get past this screen and many suggested stock rom. I tried that and odin (v3.09) wont get past "Write NAND!"
I let it set for 20 minutes and nothing happened so i googled and everyone claimed trying different usb hubs and cables so i did that. I've tried every usb hub on my pc(8) and all 3 cables i had. So then tried different version v3.10.7 of odin and it fails with following
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Binary Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..

And in top right under Odin mode it reads
Product Name: SM-G295P

FRP Lock: OFF
Secure Download: Enabled
Knox warranty void: 1 (0x0301)
RP SWREV: B:3 K:2 S:2
SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 3, BINARY: 1
So now i'm just lost and scared at what to do. I googled "SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 3, BINARY: 1" And my findings are just to use stock rom...but thats what i did in first place. So now i'm stuck with a phone that is continuously rebooting itself to the samsung boot logo....
G925PVPU1AOCF_G925PSPT1AOCF_G925PVPU1AOCF_HOME.tar.md5 is the rom im trying to flash with and i believe it is stock because got it off this forum from a post claiming it was the new stock updated rom.
Can someone please help? I can skype or teamspeak or ventrilo or just use this forum to help me but i'm beyond confused on what to do now...
edit- phone is continuously rebooting itself to the samsung boot logo...but i managed to make it stop by making phone sit in download mode...
edit2- i can not go into recovery or safe mode. All i can do is wtach my phone go to the boot logo "Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge" screen then to black screen back to boot screen. And i can put it into download mode.... Thats it...The brick is real...
edit 3- 40 views and not one help lol, seems i'll be craigslist shopping soon.
You tripped the Knox counter, that is for sure. Since you can enter download mode that means it is still possible to install the stock firmware. Did you use the correct firmware for your model?

Bootloop after flashing Oreo AT&T S7 SM-G930A
I flashed my AT&T S7 SM-G930A / G930AUCS8CRJ2 with this firmware. All completed fine in Odin. Upon re-starting the phone is in a bootloop showing "RECOVERY BOOTING..." and seconds later the android blue screen with "Installing system update" message... and minutes later it reboots again to same cycle. I am not longer able to enter into Android Recovery mode to reset (power + home + volume up). Any ideas what I can do.
thanks.

Try this:
When small blue writing appears, let go of just the power button. It should then boot into recovery.

@stek-kravari (When small blue writing appears, let go of just the power button. It should then boot into recovery. )
A>> Tried that few times. It results in the screen going black some seconds, then get blue screen with android logo and the message "installing system updates". few minutes later it resets back to same cycle as before (Recovery Booting...)
About Samsung Reactivation Lock or FPR. I do not recall having that set. Mostly I kept the phone at factory settings since received it. Anyway to check for it at this stage?
Some background, if that helps.
The phone (no rooted, not uploaded new firmware) was working fine till few days ago it turned off itself during a call as battery was depleted. Charged it, turned it on, and it froze on an screen noting it needed the password for device encryption but then the on-screen keyboard did not accept any input.
From there, I turned it off and entered it in Android Recovery mode and I did a factory reset. Rebooted and then it started with Android blue screen and a message of "installing system updates" and minutes later it failed with error of "No Command" and self-reboot to Android recovery mode. From there, I installed the firmware on this thread via Odin which completed successfully, but got into this bootloop issue.
Should I try a different firmware?
Thanks.

Did you tried with Patched Odin?
But i think it will be the same result, because the bootloader binary is updated to 8 (G930AUCS8CRJ2)
so i think you only can flash firmware with bootloader 8

While trying the patched ODIN I see the phone screen shows FRP LOCK as ON . Mentioning now as I was asked before if FRP was on.
Phone download screen says:
ODIN MODE (HIGH_SPEED)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G930A
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
FRP LOCK: ON
WARRANTY VOID: 0x0
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
AP SWEWV: B8(2,1,1,1,1) K8 S8
SECURE DOWNLOAD : ENABLE
Firmware upload with patched ODIN completed successfully, but the phone remains in bootloop at Recovery Booting for some seconds, followed by blue screen with message "Installing system updates" for a minute or so, and reboots again to Recovery Booting... I am still unable to enter in Android Recovery mode to do a factory reset.
Does the FRP LOCK ON means nothing else can be done to the phone to recover?

Try this option
Flash G930AUCS8CRJ2 with Patched Odin again, but untick auto-reboot, when flashing is complete go into recovery mode immediately and see if you can do factory reset
Tried Flashing G930AUCS8CRJ2 with Patched Odin again with untick auto-reboot but I was unable to enter in Android Recovery mode to reset. When rebooting (Home + power + volume up) its goes to same black screen and blue letters "Recovery Booting..." as before, and mins later starts again the cycle of "installing system updates" and bootlop.

I don't know what to say, i have never seen this problem, try to flash the firmware that your phone was using before this situation. Maybe try this:
Press and hold the Volume down button and Power button for about 15 seconds, until the device restarts.

Also found some post about checking re-partition in Odin, but im not sure about that, i don't know what are the consequence
Do you know if flashing this official firmware to an unlocked phone form Sprint or other carriers will allow volte and WiFi calling? I am afraid that ATT will not register the IME and will still block these services. I am running G930UUEU8CRJ2 and those services are non-existent in the settings as I expected. Just wondering if anyone has tried this before I waste a bunch of time.
Also, I newer version (G930AUCS8CRK1) was just released Nov 1, 2018 as listed on the ATT website.

Don't know if flashing this firmware will allow you to use volte or wifi calling, you can find G930AUCS8CRK1 adb sideload here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s7/how-to/sm-g930a-stock-oreo-adb-sideload-t3824795
Has anyone used this root on Android 8 with this phone? What is the diff between the patched and the non patched version of Odin?
Flashed with regular odin and also was getting binary error. I just tried with patched odin and is working fine.
Thank you :good:
Latest firmware is now G930AUCU4CRL1. Any chance of getting this tweaked to get rooted? Looking forward to what and when a link for the latest stock is adjusted (have 2 S7 phones- one to test root and other to use for daily use.)
Sent from my AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 using XDA Labs

Full ODIN stock ATT files.
Download one file, unzip to 4 files, put in ODIN and flash.
I take no responsibility if anything goes wrong. You don't need to be on certain baseband to flash this, you can flash this directly from any baseband version to this.
