I've got a galaxy alpha and the charging module is doesn't work anymore. I've bought a new one but the only problem is that my screen is cracked. I want to know if i try to remove the screen will it break or not? I will post a picture of it when I get to the pc later.

hi.
the screen of my s3 was broken (completely black), so i got a replacement (cant add a link - ebay item 190775135533) and replaced it on my own.
screen works fine, but the phone hangs on the 9300 screen for about 10 minutes before it starts...
also, the digitizer doesnt work - mouse OTG works.
I tried it with the old display again and it boots normally (cant see it, but after about 1 minute ADB is ready).
It seems, touch is also not working here (i cant trigger any action that i can see in ADB)
any ideas where this can come from?
faulty replacement assembly? did i break something?
My phone is white, i bought the black replacement - but this should not be the reason!?
thanks in advance
simon
Does the i9305 use the same digitizer.. If not then you may have been sent the wrong part..
I don't know what's wrong. Just throwing it out there..
i have the i9300 and the spare part is also for i9300
Cheap replacement? :/
I hard bricked my note a month ago so I decided to buy one off of Craigslist that was working and all I had to do was replace the screen. I had an AT&T phone so I made sure I purchased the same model. I took the broken screen out of the phone and replaced it. No broken cables everthing secure but when I turn on the phone the screen is crazydark! I checked the cables and I dont see anything wrong. Help please what went awry?!
Any pictures? How dark?
Ill post them n a sec, very dark can barely see the bottom apps on screen. I know the screen worked because it was from my other galaxy note.
I took phone apart and put back together I did notice that when I hit the back button the very top of the screen is visible. Now however I cant see anything on the screen.

Where you able to solve it ? My Galaxy Note N7000 looks like it has quite a similar problem and I'm quite sure, that it's not caused by defect hardware.
In the case that your still looking after a solution, i have posted my problem here.
Alright, my problem is I have an SIII with broken glass, a broken digitizer, and a broken LCD. It's my old phone as I had to buy a new one due to these issues. Ended up getting the HTC One. Eitherway, I can't use the screen at all yet I can turn it on and everything. Turned it on today, and since it's on a seperate number than my One, I got tons of notifications the second I turned it on, plus, I need the screen for a few other things. My question is, is there anyway I can display the screen on my laptop through USB running on Ubuntu without the use of my phone screen? Also if anyone knows how, I do ask for super detailed instructions as I suck with Linux now. (Old HD died due to Windows sucking.)
Thanks in advance.
Hi i have a Samsun Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 unlocked. I cracked the screen and decided to buy a replacement glass. During the replacement unfortuneately the digitizer cracked. I bought a new oem screen but now the touch doesn't work. I tried factory reset it with recovery but didn't help. I tried installing a different firmware by odin but it didn't help neither. I took a working galaxy s4 and i put the motherboard from the working one into the replacement screen and it was working fine. I put my motherboard into the working s4 screen and the screen didnt even turn on when i turned on the phone.
Hello all,
First of all I hope I am writing in the correct section... Otherwise please let me know.
Secondly: Something really strange is happening to my Galaxy S2.
Last year, the glass broke on the street and I changed it manually by buying one from eBay and following video instrctions. This year the touch and AMOLED part of the screen cracked (I don't even know how). This time I decided to buy a Galaxy S4, as I didn't want to "invest" anymore on the 2-year old smartphone, but I kept it. Later this year I decided to fix the S2 one again, and so I ordered a replacement screen (which costed a whopping $105!!!) and changed it. To my surprise, although I checked all the motherboard connections more than twice, the phone turns on, the Welcome Screen (configuration for first time usage screen) appears, but... The screen is unresponsive and I also can't change the volume nor turn the screen off by pressing the lock/power button.
If someone knows something about this problem or how to fix it, I would appreciate a comment with information regarding it to be able to understand what is happening.
Thanks in advance!
B.S.: I don't know if this information has anything to do with the problem, but the first screen I bought wasn't original, as it didn't have the Samsung logo on the ribbon cable, while the new one is original and the Samsung logo appears on the ribbon connector. I wonder: Is this a factory failure?
