Hi guys.. remix OS is almost perfect for me most of problems has been solved but after sleep I can't unlock the screen
I have dell XPS 12 i don't have keyboard and I don't use mouse but
When i press windows button from the tablet ( working as home button before sleep) nothing happened and power button not working in any statement
Actually in stock android-x86 the power button works but it has the same problem in sleep .. even when press the power button still black screen
@katana444 that's not button related. It's because Power Management is not fully supported/developed yet on many devices. It is one of Remix team priorities for a fix.

Is there a way to prevent the machine from going to sleep then? I'm pretty sure the max I can set is 30 mins and I tried a keep alive app that doesn't work.

I installed CyanogenMod 7.0.2 beta6.4.2(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946354) and Kernel with minimized touchscreen bug(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=929941) some time ago. Everything was ok but yesterday I've got wake up screen lag. When I'm pushing any button to turn on screen I need to wait for long or sometimes push the button and touch screen for aproximately 2 seconds screen. I Should immidiately get unlock screen but it doesn't happen :/ Any solution??
Reflash CyanogemMod WITHOUT wiping anything.
At the cpu settings, in cyanogen menu, increase the minimum cpu speed, should fix that
Try to disable the animation lock to off. I never faced such issue with Cm7.

Tesla works ok.. Except when the screen turns off
When it does, the LED flashes, and then after a few seconds the phone crashes and I have to hold the power button to get it to power back on

Yeah same issue here, I just set the option in TeslaLED to always keep the screen on.
Hi, I'm the dev of TeslaLED. I don't have a Galaxy S2 yet. Can some of you guys test this beta:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133393
Once installed if Auto isn't working well can you try manually setting the different LED Methods and seeing if any of them work well?
Thanks,

Why on earth would you want that ?
And if it's possible, I guess it will drain your battery faster...

As said, if it would be possible...the battery will drain a lot faster as the screen will always be active/the system will perform wakelocks all the time.
But it's a good idea

That's what was generally said about double tap to wake, yet the phones that have this implemented, don't have drastically increased battery consumption because of it.
On the other hand, Samsungs half second delay after pressing home button, to wake after deep sleep (formerly just a "feature" of exynos devices, now with snapdragons as well) , is extremely annoying.
Don't see how would the screen always be active? Rather, the fingerprint sensor would be.

That's what I was thinking if iphones are doing it without any problem and lg is using their knock why can't samsung
I don't believe battery drain would be an issue, but how would you keep the phone in a state to be read?
With double tap to wake and swipe to wake surely the waiting for action state is already developed.
Other possibility could be pressing the home button and sweeping the fi gerprint scanner at the same time to unlock in one motion.

if the screen is off the fingerprint won't unlock and turn the screen off at the moment...... you have to press the home key wait for screen to turn on then swipe

I know. I talk about press (so the screen turns on) AND sweeping the finger at the same time.. This is working for me. I have to do a longer sweepe though.. And i have used all 3 finger setting to the same finger, probably a bit different portion of the finger every time..
Try it.. It works for me. Always unlock with one sweeping and pressing at the same time..
The disadvantage, i can unlock only with one finger.
The problem for me is that i have the home button to wake switched off using wanam exposed module. The phone was active in pocket way too many times.

New to all this, and was wondering if there is a way to use something else to wake and put to sleep instead of power button. Looking for help!!! Can someone walk me thru what to do?
If the phone is on and charged you can plug it in to wake the screen and set the screen time out to something like 30 seconds to have it turn off. There is no tap to wake on this device so that maybe your only option.
Tenounce
Thank u for the answer, but cant always be charging. So is there any way to swipe to wake?

No. There is no form of "touch" to wake on the one max. No kernel support for that function. Don't necessarily need to leave it charging just plug in and unplug for the screen to come on

I use this app, a wave over the proximity sensor wakes up the phone and I have it set to go to sleep when I set it down on a flat surface. I also use screen off app when there's no flat surface

if you are willing to root your device, then you can install xposed framework and explore all the wonderful modules that work under the framework. then install the sense 6 toolkit module and enable the "wake with volume buttons" and map double tap on lockscreen and double tap on home and double tap on status bar to "screen off"... done!

It works on latest ironrom
Probably only works on ROMs that support the fingerprint reader.
I think that app only works on Touchwiz roms. I use it on my Tab S and S6, both on Touchwiz.
2 features of this app (may require pro version?):
Long touch can do one of the following: camera, screen-off, Google Now, or home screen
When lock screen shown (before you input password/pattern/swipe to unlock), touch home button to turn off screen. Useful when you turn on screen to look at time only and want to turn off screen without pressing power button (reduce button use?) or letting screen timeout (save battery?)
The developer also has an app to double-knock/tap to turn screen on-or-off. I use it to turn-off the screen with a double-tap. Using it to turn-on screen consumes battery.
