VERIZON LG V10 VS990W BOOTLOOP heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp me please!!!! - LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello friends, a few weeks ago I was using my cell normally and suddenly resumed. Wanting to use it again I realized I did not pass the LG logo screen. At the time I thought it was just that the software was failing. To take the service technician, after 4 days I said no rom had found on the internet. (I live in Mexico, and the city is small so there are not many specialists). I myself then started looking for the solution until you get to this page. Download Two rom, I think it was the 19b and 22a KDZ If I remember correctly. I went with the technical and I gave this product then tested one of the two operating systems but said I had only worked for a while and then returned to the screen logo. When I return my phone, no longer it worked. I press for a full day the power button and nothing happened.
My question is: Is it a hardware problem? it has a solution? battery problem maybe? I have to change the logic board? please them greatly appreciate your help, thank you very much.

Nobody has answered, sorry. It is definitely a known hardware problem. Unfortunately, you will have to warranty return it or swap it through your carrier.

My friend just brought over two of the same models for me to 'fix'. Both are stuck on the LG start screen.
I managed to boot in recovery mode and selected factory reset. After about half an hour being stuck on the start screen, it began to perform the factory reset. After connecting to the WIFI in my house it got stuck on the Start screen again.
This is all while I'm downloading the kdz file in the background.
Try this guide. That's what I plan to do.

[Solved] [help] having some problems with p500 after repair

Hi.
I just got my p500 that went to repair( i bricked the phone) and they fixed it and updated to 2.2.2 but im having some issues.
The phone doesn't turn off the screen, even tough its set'd up to and i have to lock it in order to turn off the screen and sometimes just turn back on even without a text or call and i have to again lock it. Other problem is that the phone does not recognize that it's connected to the pc by usb.
I already tried do a reset by restoring the factory settings but it didn't solve anything.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I didn't want to sent it back to repair because it took a long time for they to fix it.
Thanks
All p500 tht was repaired by service hav this prob, I think its due to faulty motherboarf tht they using.
So that means that i will have to send it back =/ Theres really nothing i can do? I even thought it was all software related and if i flash the phone with the 2.2.2 room (im afraid that downgrading the room will brick the phone) but i don't know if this is possible to do with 2.2.2 and because i haven't found how to root this version.
I had the same problem too after get back my O1 from warranty, really feel disappointed with the service.
Anybody can help except sending back to that stupid service centre ?
Did yours took too long to? Mine took almost a month to get back from repair and it came with all this problems.
Im disapointed with the service too.
You should hav been careful in the first place.
Its a dead end now.
I don't see how its a dead end now.
I should have been careful at the first time while was trying different rooms with different methods and that's why the phone died. I sent it to repair and they replaced the motherboard from what i understood. So if it a new motherboard and i havent change anything since and im having these problems i don't see it as a dead end but as a responsibility from lg or the company that repaired the phone and my provider to repair ir. So maybe the first time since it was my fault it would be my responsibility , but they didn't question that and i didn't say anything. After they repair it but with a malfunctioning piece it's their responsibility to fix it. At least that is how i see it.
Im going to have to sent it back to warranty to repair and i hope it doesn't come with the same problems again.
Ok its not a dead end oO''
I understand ur rage... But I jst warning other users to take precautions while messing with the phone. Or they wud also qq over a bricked box..
Gudluck with the service..
Cheers.
Thanks.
I subscribe your adivce.
I have been thinking of reinstall the firmware(the original from lg) to see if it solves the problem, but im having a issue. I can't connect the phone to the computer(only transferring things to the sd card and install or open from there) and i don't know if i can root it with this version i have now, 2.2.2.
Does anyone know how can i do this with the android version and without connecting it to the pc?
PROBLEM SOLVED
I was planing on sending the phone to repair on monday, but at the time and with the phone here i didn't want to give up so i thought of rooting it and reinstalling the firmware, but nothing worked and the phone didn't recognize that it was connected to a computer. So i kept search other ways to reinstall the firmware and came across a website that talked about a "secret menu" code for the phones and i remembered that this phones must had one and that from there i could do something, i did. From there i did a factory reset and, unlike the ones i did before by going to settings-privacy, when the phone rebooted it told me right way that it was connected to the computer. I also tested the problem with the screen light and so far, so good.
So, if anyone else has this problem(sannielyk reportedly had) what i did was entering the "secret menu" code : 3845#*500# and did the factory reset from there.
Apparently it was a software problem or something that wasn't installed right by the lg service. But so far everything is good, and i hope it keeps that away.
Thanks for the help
Edit the title as [solved].
Goodjob bro.
Cheers.
Done.
Thanks
Thx a lot to griffin_1.
I tried ur "secret menu code" to reset the phone & it is really work , now problem solved.
No need to waste time back to the lg centre.
You're welcome. Glad i could help and that sending the phone to lg could be avoided in this situation.
Oh man you saved my life. I don't know how to thank you. Thanks, thanks, thanks a lot, it really worked.
Thanks griffin_1.
I had the same problem and i was going to send it back to LG service. but ive fixed it with the secret code . Thanks again.
hey people i did send my lg p500 to repair becouse something went wrong the change my mainboard and the ime well done , then i got the 2.2.1 as stock rom
good then i did upgrade to Noijins megatron then the problem starts sometimes
if i just use power amp and want to go to the facebook app the phone simply start blinking the buttons like u would overclock your phone.
then it just reboot from alone i think i got the problem 4 or 5 times a day and i simply start beliving that maybe the gprs or the module might be done for the internet.
so i think should i send it to the repair again ? i even try to flash my baseband
same error at the new roms.
i hope you can help me griffin
got the same trouble like u since lg change my motherboard.

[Q] "Insert sim card" error :(

Hi
Recently my S2 just stopped reading my SIM when I was going to call someone. Since then it has refused to read my SIM, or any other SIM for that matter.
To fix this problem I've tried resetting the phone to factory settings (in 3 different ways ( hard-reset.com/samsung-i9100-galaxy-s2-hard-reset.html )) with no luck.
I've also tried installing alternative ROM's, but with the same result.
The phone was already rooted with an insecure kernel when this happened, so warranty is long gone.
Though, one thing I did realize was that even though I did hard-reset the phone several times, some of the settings on the phone remained untouched, like my locking pattern and a few other settings. Does this mean that hard-resetting the phone isn't really an actual hard-reset? If that's so, is there any way to properly 100% reset the phone?
In short; I'm running out of options on how to fix this. I refuse to believe it's hardware related, just because I'm stubborn like that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated (really).

You can refuse to believe in gravity too, but falling from high distances will still hurt.
If you tried more than one SIM in the phone and none work, but those same SIMs work in other phones, than more than likely, it is hardware related.
Did you check you imei?
078gregory brings up a good point. So if it's not missing IMEI info, THEN it's likely hardware.
Isn't it funny how everything suddenly works itself out once you cry out for help?
Today I've been trying around 10 different ROM's on the phone. Custom and stock. As one last attempt I gave a random ICS 4.0.3 march ROM a last try, and guess what. I got the SIM prompt. I can not believe it. So yeah, it's working now. I have no idea what caused it, but I believe the phone was stuck in flight mode somehow, and just needed an extra push to get out.
Either way, it's working like a charm now. Thanks for the replies though.

Hi people. I have the same problem Habitats decribes. Mi s2 is stuck in flightmode and cant get out! i have reset the phone in every kind of way but no succes. Now i read here on this forum that flashing my phone to ICS 4.0.3 can help solve the problem. I'm on 2.3.6 now. This flightmode thing happened al over sudden. I have done nothing strange with the phone. Its not rooted either. I was planning to go to a samsung servicepoint and let them check whats wrong. But now i read this thread and see that i can relate to this problem of Habitats. I think a also will try to flash ICS 4.0.3 and watch what happens. But theres another problem. KIES don't recognize my phone anymore so what can i do? Can someone please help me out? Thanks in advance
I'm having the exact same problem, could you please tell me which rom worked for you Habitats? Thanks in advance!
Update:Last tuesday i went to the vodafone store were they have a samsung service department also. I explained my problem to them but they don't seem to recognize the problem. Although i read that many people here at xda's and over the internet have similar issues with this phone.Strange! So they sent it to the repair centre. Yesterday i could see in the track and trace menu of the repair centre that my fone was ready and send back to the vodafone store. Status: Boardswap. So they swapped the whole board! Didn't know that the problem was that serious! So i hope i can pickup my galaxy s2 soon this coming week!! I can't wait!I'm on my old HTC Touch HD now. Its ok with the windows but on Android....Arggghh!! Whatsapp is a pain and more. Its so laggy!. I will give an update soon again!

[Q] HTC Radar 4G stuck in reboot loop - Please help!

Hey, guys, I know there are a lot of these issues with a lot, if not all, of the HTC smartphones, but I've only seen a few of these for the HTC Radar, and they all seem to give the same answers. Hopefully my explanation of the problem will help!
So, I got the phone thanksgiving weekend 2011, so I've had it for about a year. One day around the beginning of April this year, my phone randomly began a restarting loop, where it would gradually restart itself from a blank white screen over and over, then it went to the HTC screen over and over, and then periodically switched between the HTC screen and the black "Windows Phone" load screen over and over again. I tried taking off the battery cover and leaving it for a couple of minutes and then hours, but I put it back and it just kept rebooting. I was left without a phone for about two days.
On the second day, I put it on the charger and left it in my dorm while I was in class all day, and when I came back, it was rebooting still, but I noticed that it always made it to the "Windows Phone" logo loading screen and then restarted. After about 4 reboots, it went back to normal and I was able to use the phone. After the next couple of months, it stopped doing it in such a long period of time, but the battery usage went up almost 30-40% than what it used to be. Once in a while, it would reboot once, but then it would be back to normal.
This time, in late October, it started the reboot thing again, but this time, only going up to the HTC screen and looping that. I tried taking the battery cover off again and leaving it for hours, but same problem now. So I decided to leave it off for a day. By this time, I had my HTC Desire HD as backup, but it was unlocked, and at the time when I bought it, I didn't know anything about HSDPA numbers, so I could use my T-Mobile SIM, but no mobile network, since it's a Telus/AT&T phone.
I tried charging it, but this time, it lasted for a whole week. After rebooting over and over, it would last 3 hours, then stop because the battery would die out. So I just left it, and left it, and weeks went by, and my warranty had long since expired, so I couldn't go to HTC about this. I even called them to see what I could do, and they told me to do a Factory Reset, well... here is a list of the things I tried:
- IMAGE CRC: At first I didn't know what this was, and so I looked it up. After finding out what it was, I tried it, and I got two numbers: BL CRC-0xD19F79E1 and OS CRC-0x4CC706B. I looked those up on the internet and got nothing. I restarted the phone, and nothing happened at all. (If there was something else I was supposed to do here, please tell me!)
- Factory Reset: This was the LAST thing I wanted to do, but I had no choice and I tried it, hoping the error would be fixed. So I scrolled down to it, everything seemed to be normal, it gave me a warning, and I clicked it ... I was very suspicious of this, because as soon as I clicked "Factory Reset", it said "Reset complete. Press Volume Down to restart". I mean IMMEDIATELY after. Now, I KNOW that Factory Resets take much longer than an instant to actually have happened. But I restarted anyway. ... Nothing, still. I tried it several times after that, only to get the same result.
Those are the two options I tried, besides looking on the internet... if I can avoid buying a new Radar, I would like to, at all costs, because the next time I have a decent amount of money, I would like to save it for something else. Is there anything else I could try to resolve this issue, or at least gain more information on the problem?
Thank you all very much for reading my post!

May be it is a Hardware problem. Why you don't try to put HSPL and to cook custom rom ? I do this on mine few days ago and now the phone is more useful than before. I cooked HD2O ROM and till now working fine for me. When you change bootloader with HSPL may be it will work out if it is a Software problem. Also you need to change Radio Firmware other wise the device can not boot. When I am doing HSPL a few times phone just loop restarts and not start but after I do everything like it was in treads here and flash new radio the phone is working fine now. But may be there is a Hardware problem.

Thank you very much for responding! So just to be clear, how exactly do I go about flashing a ROM on the Radar, and a new radio? On Android phones, its much easier to root the device or simply place the ROM folder in there and make it work. I have no experience with doing this to a Radar, as I was previously led to believe that this was impossible. Should I just browse this forum?

Yes just browse this forum but only section about Windows Phone 7 Development and Hacking. You will find DFT exclamation of how to install HSPL. In mine it was very easy because I not receive Country ID fail my phone was buy in Europe. If you receive Country ID error you need to proceed with goldcard it is explained there but first proceed without goldcard if it work it is very easy. Also when you proceed SPL2.05 it is not clear in the topic but you need to be in bootloader so you should start your phone with VolUp and VolDn keys pushed this is not explained in the topic and I waist a lot of time till figured out. After that just download one of the 7.8 ROMs here in Radar section and write it down. Also download new radio and use some RUU to put it on the phone before the ROM other wise the phone can not boot. Try and after that if you have problems write down here.
MY RADAR TURNED BACK ON! I don't know exactly what happened, but after a couple of reboots, the battery indicator flashed and then it rebooted twice until finally turning on the full amount.
Tonyco1 -- Thank you very much for staying with me and replying to my request! Although what you suggested is not needed for my booting issue, I'm going to try it anyway to see if I can actually boot 7.8! Thank you again.

Demigod Crash Handler LG v10

did you try lg bridge => update error recovery option. it will redownload the firmware and install freshly.
I tried and succesfull, but on reboot go on bootloop and nothing change (its disappeard green screen at least). Now I think Its a bootloop problem and so its fu**ed up. So frustrating
Well i got the same green screen and the bootloop also just some minutes ago. I can get into download mode, but my pc wont recognize the phone at all. After some time it will continue to bootloop from download mode also. After some cooling the phone boots into android, but after seconds it freezes and starts to bootloop.
Any idea what i could do with the phone to fix it? Im out of warranty, so it would cost too much to send it in to the repair shop.
same problem with me please help
How far out of warranty? LG's been taking care of people 18+ months out in some cases.
I bought my phone some 15 months ago. So i contacted LG and they offered a free check for the phone. If it is bootlooping they will try to repair it for free. If not reparable the store where i bought the phone will compensate me. Hope it all goes well.
I got this yesterday while playing a game. My sense is some thermal-related hardware failure.
My paranoid side is curious about the timing. I once had a VCR that broke THE DAY my warranty ran out. I'll update when I learn how T-Mobile deals with this, but I'm paying for insurance--so I may get a replacement (and another 15 months or so until the replacement "times out"?).
same problem here too :crying:

same here since today!!! wtf never heard about it before
same here today
It's a bootloop guys. LG will most likely give you a repair even if out of warranty, you just need proof of purchase (I bought mine online so I just sent them the confirmation email).
In Youtube there are plenty of videos that claims they have fixed the bootloop issue by applying thermal paste or pads and comments in that videos prove it shurity. I am also interested to purchase lg v10 but after seeing this kind of issues i m little bit scared
same here .yesterday using facebook and then..boom...restart....bootloop....some time starts and freezes at 5 minutes. some times green screen. i enter download mode and reinstall firmaware but same story
Hello everybody !
Anybody have solve this problem?
I have the same green screen demi god handler.:crying:
When he's connect on PC, it is in Qualcomm HS USB mode.
Help us Please.:good:
Same problem here. I think it is bootloop and as much as I know only permanent solution is to replace the motherboard. But I have a problem about it, does anyone have any idea about the models of LG v10, since it has too many models, h960A, H960AY, H960TR etc. And mine is H960A but if i replace motherboard myself, should the new motherboard also be H960A or doesn't it matter?
and here comes one more ...
Written on messenger when it hung. Restarted and displayed the logo to become green.
Luckily, the phone is 11 months old. I miss it already, especially the camera
Same here today...

LG G2 Mini (D620) lagging and stuck in LG logo after several flash attempts

Hi, I'm new in this but I'm also desperate for help. For starters, I live in Venezuela so it's a bit troublesome to visit a proper tech service and stuff. Well, as I said in the title, the problem with my phone is that it keeps getting stuck in the LG logo. I've already flash it several times, but this solution only seems to work for a few days. I'll explain the problems in a chronological order
1) I dropped my phone in january and the screen broke, so I bought a new one along with a new touch screen. At that time, the only problem that I had was that, even though I had a SIM card in my phone, it didn't have any mobile network signal. I tried many things but gave up on that and the problem's still with me
2) In an attempt to fix that issue, I factory reseted my phone and since that time I got the feeling that something was off with my device but I dind't pay attention to it cos my phone was working appareantly fine
3)After that my device started to get laggy and I tought it was the battery because sometimes it was at 87% and when you turn it off and turn it on again, the battery was at 67% in an instant. It wasn't that bad so I kept using it like that
4) Sometime around last month my phone reboot itself (it was usual that when my device got reaaally laggy it reboots itself). The problem was that it got stuck in the LG logo so I look for solutions and end up flashing it.
5) It worked for a few weeks but the cycle started again. Laggy and then stuck in LG logo. I bought a new battery (wich works fine) thinking that this would solve the problem so I did a factory reset, flash it and then turn it on but the problem still didn't go away.
I'm desperate for help cos I need my phone to work and since I live in Venezuela, I really need the money and obviosuly, I can't afford to buy a new device. Could someone help me?
A little note here. I tried upgrading the software using "LG Mobile Support Tool 2014" but the app shuts down before downloading the upgrade. I don't know if it's due to my laptop being really old (Acer Aspire 5920). I know I have A LOT of troubles but I'm in need of a friendly help!
