Hello, please spend 6 seconds of your time to rate your experience with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. I will be comparing results to other phones and the other variants of the device. If you possibly want to see how they all did you can message me on twitter at @masaforce. Honest reviews only. Thank you.
PS: I am still waiting for mine.

Hope that's the case for many other people too.

Can say 9.9/10. I like Note 7 design and new UX. No lag, no hang at all.

I'd say 9/10. I do get some occasional stutter (SD820, blah).

No issues and the best one I've had.
9.9/10 for me. This phone has been great. I can only hope that when I get the replacement that it's as good as my current phone.
9/10
Would love the "phone maintenance" to be an app (similar to HTC boost) and not built into the settings.
That's my only complaint. Love this phone coming from an HTC M9.

If you're talking about the cheezy Cheetah Mobile interface that rates your phone's performance and health, you can. Install App Disabler or EZ Disabler and look for/and disable "Device maintenance".

You sir are Awesome!
As a power user 9.8/10
Love that I did not need root to do That, and "stock" settings are still there for battery but Samsung should still learn from HTC. Separate app, not preinstalled bloatware.
Edit: maybe it is placebo, but after disabling the cheetah mobile interface the entire phone UI is much more fluid.

I'm also saying the same thing. I'll be PISSED off if I decide to turn my phone in, and the second phone is ****ED UP! I'm hoping I don't have to turn in mine. But if anyone is having issues, PLEASE do the right thing.

OK that's fine
Other than the battery complaint of not being able to have extra batteries. I had to buy a external battery pack, the battery last maybe 4 to 5 hours with heavy usage. It's a Ravpower model RP-PB052 (22000mAh).
So far no big issues other than the battery not being replaceable!
takes great photos!
Runs faster than my note5.
Funny, when we could get root and find unlimited themes etc.
Now Verizon sells everything is alacart now, bummer!
Hoping my experience will be good. Was going to switch to the Apple 7 plus, except I didn't have the 500+ you up front. Where the galaxy I had a month to come up with 299! Seeing samsung went to the non-replaceable battery, figured I should switch over to Apple, maybe next renewal I will, save up the money to do so.
Seeing Samsung went to the same as Apple!
I do love the note7 except the battery snafu!
Hope everyone likes their note 7
Cheers,

I'm a huge fan of completely rectangle phones. Samsung Galaxy S 3 is far too curvy for my preferences.
However looking for these forums it looks like you guys have no end of troubles with this phone?
Have the multitasking issues been solved yet?
Is it possible, likely, that the LTTE connection issues will be resolved with the jelly bean update?

Some of the best battery life I've seen in a long time and that's before root. With meanrom I get something like 18 hours constant use that's music, YouTube, regular browsing, netflix and maybe 20 minutes of gaming. I can browse for about four hours on 3g and hardly dent the battery. I have some pretty bad wakelock and still get awesome battery life
As in problems you mean that we can not put this device down??!!!

Yeah I did some more research through the forums after this post and found the one you mentioned about multitasking. It looks like this is quite the popular phone.

It is an amazing device for sure. BTW, zepps multitasking mod osnt just for this device its for all android devices which makes it pretty unique. Also its now fully automated, the ultimatic script will run adb and install for you right from your desktop. He also added the V6 supercharger install at the end of it. It really is awesome man. Agreed with everything here. I think most of the "complaining" you've seen is us wanting more out of an already incredible phone. Trying to break past the limits the manufacturer was so gracious to bestow upon us.
But as a few have already said, even completely stock, this phone rocks with it's c*ck out. Blazingly fast, one of the best screens available (better than SG3 IMO), incredible battery life, and the list goes on.

Most complaints lately are from uninformed, impatient people who quite often spread misinformation under the assumption that they know what they are talking about because they've used every one click solution for every phone they've owned. Tried to help a guy who kept arguing against me saying this isn't my first rooted phone blah blah blah. When I asked simply what is a governor no answer, what is a scheduler they said task manager. It gets quite frustrating

Phone is awesome except for the non removable battery, Sense freeze ups, and Sprint's horrible/inconsistent network which will have you on 2G in many cases. Those were enough reasons for me to go to TMobile after being with Sprint for 12 yrs and get the S3 and save $40 per month (3 lines) on my bill after Sprint slowly increased their prices for each 4G line with insurance (+$13) since the launch of the first Evo.
The Screen, Camera, Keyboard, Craftmanship, and Interface are better on the Evo LTE. It also has the FM Tuner.
The GS3 has better LTE connections on Sprint, has more intuitive software, removable battery, better multitasking, and 2GB RAM which you notice after using both phones. Nova Launcher and HD Widgets are great additions also.
If you are like me and are used to having extra batteries stashed at home, work, and in your car the nonremovable battery will get to you. I even bought one of those portable battery juicers and it just wasn't the same.

So I had my GS3 for about 3 months before it experienced a 2 foot drop shattering not just the digitizer but the LCD as well. The phone was a good phone, I originally had an Incredible, moved up to the Rezound (which I loved) and then the GS3. What I have learned about Samsung is that the build quality isn't as solid as HTC's (from my experiences). I was thinking about going back to HTC with the DNA.
I just wanted some input from people who own the phone and what their thoughts are about it. Practicality, Functionality, BATTERY LIFE (very important to me) and etc.
Any comments, concerns or suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance

For all intensive purposes the battery life is the same, if not slightly better than the s3.
And functionality and practicality is determined by you, we can't answer it for you.

Battery life, for me, is leaps and bounds above my s3. I NEVER got 5 hours of screen time on the s3.
Please don't touch my "Thanks" button, it doesn't like you...
Hmm. I am surprised to hear that about the battery life. I haven't read too much about the development of the DNA, is there the whole S-On or S-Off thing that the Rez had? haha
Do you guys notice a difference with the Quad core setup? GS3's dual was very quick and responsive.
Our phone is s on for the time being unless you want to send it to someone and have it opened up. But it really doesn't matter. Only things it changes is that we can't change the splash screen and radios and we have to use an app to flash kernels, besides that it is fine.
And it isn't any smoother per say, but i have seen the s3 get laggy every once in a while, that doesn't happen on the DNA. And apps definitely open faster on the DNA. And very intensive games run better.

I have the S3 and DNA and the battery life is virtually identical for me. Get about 4 hours screen time on both and about 15 hours with a full charge. I have the quad core S3 (international version) and the difference in performance is noticeable. On my S3 (which has 1gb of Ram) I would get lots of redraws on the home screen. Sure custom Rom's/kernels helped but did not totally resolve them. On the DNA I see no redraws or lag. Overall I enjoy the experience of the DNA more than I do my S3 so unless I am going on a long trip, my S3 stays in my desk drawer.
thank you guys for the replies. My main concern is S-Off, I know on the rezzy it made a huge difference (way easier to flash kernels/roms and etc.) Hopefully it isn't as complicated here with S-On. And I'm glad to hear about the battery life. I will most probably be purchasing one soon.
Definitely going to invest in good case.
***EDIT
only thing I am concerned about is not having an SD card slot. -__-
With s on you flash roms like any other phone, and kernels you use an app called flash image gui to flash the boot.img then you just flash the modules in recovery.

Lol if battery life is a concern you are definitely looking at the wrong phone. If anyone tells you different they are in denial. Htc, along with every reviewer on the net about the Dna have all acknowledged the poor performance of the battery.
If you are looking for the best phone out, the note 2 absolutely destroys the DNA. The only thing the dna has over the note 2 is screen resolution.... on paper lol. The note 2 screen is amazing. Honestly just grab one and take a look. Add in the amazing software ( split screen, pop up browser, pop up note and pop up movie player that can all be on the screen at the same time), spen, redonkulous battery life, sd card slot, ability to replace battery and amazing support and you have greatest phone on the market. Hope this helps!

Lol its funny that your phone seems to be the anomaly. Everyone, including HTC THEMSELVES, have acknowledged the poor battery performance. Just look at the size of your battery vs. The amount of pixels the dna is pushing. Do the math man there is reason everyone ( except for a few in denial dna owners) has pointed to the battery peeformance. Living in denial my friend. If you like your dna, kudos to you. Enjoy carrying that phone charger around all day.
If the only bad thing you can say about the note 2 is the size thats a personal thing. Im 5 11 and this phone fits in my hand and pocket beautifully. My girlfriend is 5 5 and she has no problem what so ever with the note. That speaks dividends to how great the note is if the only bad thing you can say about it is the size. Note 2 ftw

Umm....no. are you serious? Look at the polls around net of touchwiz vs. Sense vs. stock. Most people prefer stock, then touchwiz and lastly sense. One of the biggest drawbacks of sense is the recent app drawer. Its beyond puzzling. Why would take up entire screen to see recent apps, including cutting away the app drawer, pull down menu and home screen? Very inefficient.

The camera on the One seems a little less reliable (im getting more out of focus or slightly blurry shots) but people have said an update is coming that fixes it. The design of the One makes Samsung look like a bunch of amateurs. The screen is much better too. I'm not sure why, but no one ever mentions how poor amoled displays are out in sunlight. You can't even read them! But the One is nice and clear just like other IPS displays. Battery life is enough to make it through a day easily and I'm really liking the boomsound speakers.

I loved my Note 2, but this has been a welcomed change. For me, the Note 2 was just a little too big and I think that this is the sweet spot.
I can honestly say that I've never used a phone that is this close to the complete package. I don't think you will regret it if you switch, the HTC One is flat out superb.

Personally, I'm glad to shed a little bit of screen size in favor of a more manageable, attractive device. The Note 2 is great, no doubt about it, but the HTC One is better. There's no other way to say it.
I like the screen on this device vs my note 2. Also the screen size for this is much more manageable to hold and use rather than the note 2. I miss using one hand. Lol

i miss the screen size when i'm reading emails, text messaging or surfing the web. it's not to the point that i can't/won't adjust to a smaller screen. battery life so far has been in line with my expectations, meaning it's been enough to get me through my normal workday. i knew going into my "trial run" that the One could not compete on the battery front. yes, the One is easier to maneuver vs. the Note II but not so much that it would sway me away from the Note II. one thing is for sure, the One is one sexy a$$ kit that works well and has not let me down relative to the hype. my decision is which one will get used most often... right now, my Note II has temporarily replaced my laptop (UltraXPS) on flights to/from client sites and when attending meetings (which averages about 4-5 hours every day). the One is being used as my business phone. my plans now are to keep both devices.

This is exactly how I feel! I really, really love the Note II, and it's only been a couple of days with the One, but I definitely still "feel" like I'm missing something or leaving features behind. It's some combination of the removable battery, the screen size, the S-Pen (used infrequently, but cool when I do) and yes... a few of those gimmicky "kitchen sink" features Samsung throws in that are actually useful.
The One is clearly an awesome device, so I'm giving it time. This is a trial run for me as well, and I feel like I'm right back where I was last year with the One X+ vs. the Note II. It still boils down to a "beauty" vs "the beast" choice, and I'm not quite sure where I fall this year.
I've been slowly making the switch from my Verizon Note 2 to the HTC One on T-Mobile and I've quickly learned a few things.
1. That initial realization that the Note just can't be compared to any other standard sizes phone. There is no way I could say either the One or the Note is better just because they were designed for two completely different ways of use. But the only thing I'm going to miss from Samsung is the multi-window feature. I'll live without the pen.
2. Removable storage. there was something really convenient about being able to swap SD cards depending on my day. I have a music card and a video card that I would switch out if I was going to work or just vegging on the couch while beaming videos to the tv.
I've seen many times people talking about switching phones and almost immediately coming back to the Note, but there's a more specific switch I had to make in my daily routine to make me not want to come running back. I mean, the One is in no way a small phone, but when set next to the Note, it looks like a 4.3 inch phone. That's where I'm having to make the switch. The fact the my phone needs to be a phone is where the One becomes a better fit for me.
TLDR Peace yall. I'm moving to the HTC One.

What do you mean the phone needs to be a phone?
Were you having signal issues or something?

Yeah, HTC, and Verizon did such a good job keeping the rezound, and the thunderbolt up to date. I hope that this works out for you. I will say that Ihave htc phones, and this one, and the signal isn't that much better. Plus I have never had this phone go into bacon mode like my 6 rezounds.
Today, young ,men on acid realize that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciences sharing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are just imaginations of ourselves And now to the weather.....

Sounded like he was being sarcastic. The rezound took forever to be updated to ics. I had it months before Verizon updated it. I sold the phone before it got that update. Lol I love HTC but the Note owns the One in real world use. But to each their own

I left Verizon in April this year and made that stupid decision to try tmobile again. In fact I too had the HTC one. I loved the phone, so smooth. I just couldn't live with spotty coverage and no signal at my office. I came back to Verizon this month and have the note 2. Everyone tells me that I sound so much clearer and louder than how I sounded on the HTC one. Plus my husband HATED when I was on blue tooth with the HTC one, he said it sounded like I was talking behind a grinder or a blender with rocks in it. Not the case with the note2, very clear. Plus the final straw was not receiving text messages and missing dozens of calls even with a signal. You will be back to Verizon, trust me it's worth every penny!

Two things, both personal opinions:
1. HTC sucks
2. Tmob sucks more than HTC.
The HTC one actually performs very well, just not sure if every HTC one is plagued with poor sound quality with calls. Since I got the note 2 I can't see how I survived with anything smaller. Great screen, love the multi-task feature and the s pen. And yes, t-mobile does suck.

I will be comparing results. Honest reviews ONLY ABOUT THE AT&T VERSION. Thank you.
I've got the 930FD and love it. Haven't had any charging issues. The camera on it is amazing, the smart call feature is awesome, many new features!

A crappy one is better than not having one at all.
P.S. The AT&T Note 7s are not crap.

One guy told me that he had gone trough 4 AT&T note7s, and that they were all too "crap" aka faulty.
I used for a week and couldn't handle the lag...I am used to Samsung lag after using S3, Note 4, Note 5 but this lag is terrible. I just feel they rushed the product. Initial release of UX software to Note 5 was smooth...but they screwed it with Note 7...I heard it is only for US carrier versions though. But the battery has been good...

I have never had any lag. Have you tried a factory reset?

More like you are unlucky. I have had no issues with mine.
My wife and I both have ATT version and neither have any lag. We both love them. Can't wait to get this exchange over with. Love using it all day the way I want and not worrying about the battery. 18 hours of use with 5 hrs of screen on time and still battery to spare when I go to bed. Using it with gear s2 as well! Use AOD and all features maxed out.

I just hope my 4th device is good because I really love the note 7. Had every note that has came out and man do I love the note line of phones. My 3rd note was bad, but not as bad as the first 2 were. Even though my 3rd device had issue, I really hated handing it over for the recall because I could end up with the replacement being as bad as the first 2 devices.
No lag for me either. I loaded manually only the apps I needed.

Phone itself: 10/10
Best phone I've ever had. No lag, great battery (though I did have to disable some bloat to get it), and the phone is gorgeous. My only gripe is the autocorrect which works badly IMO.
This whole recall mess: 4/10
It sucks and it's concerning. My phone hardly gets warm while charging, but you never know if or when something bad could happen. I'm not too scared though.
Im glad Samsung voluntarily took the hit and did the recall. It just sucks now that the government has gotten involved and that everyone is scared and that the media is just eating this up. Once the new phones come, I'll get one and be happy for quite some time!
