Can anybody tell me what the numeric keypad under settings version on on the Gear Fit 2.. I know on any Android device if you repeatedly press your Android version an animated screen pops up indicating the software version like KitKat or Marshmallow.. On the Gear Fit 2 when you repeatedly press software version a numeric keypad pops up similar to a calculator. A numeric keypad appears. Not a calculator but with simulator number buttons that displays corresponding numbers at the top.. Does this serve any function or is it just an animated Interactive things like on other Android operating system's?
Secret service menu, you can access it on the original gear fit

I have been experiencing this with both the older, and now the newest version of the Nook software (rooted device running Phiremod). I can highlight a passage and add a "note." However, I can't just tap the note icon and view the note anymore. Tapping the icon just causes a page turn (as the icons appear in the right margin) no matter where in the margin the note icon appears. I can long press the note and get the function to delete or edit, but I can't just tap it and have the note appear.
Have I screwed up a setting somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John
My company requires me to protect my tablet with a password that includes both letters and numbers if I want to get my corporate email on it. The keyboard that the lock screen uses is the default android keyboard, even if I have a different keyboard (Swiftkey, in my case) selected as my primary input method.
This makes entering an alphanumeric password a pain, since I have to press the "?123" key to bring up the numeric keypad every time I need to enter a number.
Is there a way (without rooting, preferably) to use a different keyboard for the lock screen ... it doesn't have to be swiftkey, necessarily, I just need something that has either has a 5th row with numbers, or that allows the top (qwerty) row to bring up numbers with a long-press.
Any help would be much appreciated!
I have a Korean Version Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Model number SHV-E250L from the LGU+ Network in Korea.
The problem that i'm having is that i can't remove the korean characters from the keypad (number pad) not the keyboard, you will see what i mean in the images i have attached. (I have already changed the phones input language to english).
The other problem that is bugging me is that i have a notification symbol that has never gone away and i dont know what it means.
Its a grey background a hand with 3 dots next to it, with a green telephone on top, and a grey line through the telephone.
I noticed a similar not the same symbol on my main keypad when you are dialing a telephone number.
I will attach some images and highlight them.
Any help is much appreciated.

On the stock x10mp, whenever there was a field to type in text a small popup screen keyboard would show where I could select different international layouts.
Is it possible to enable these international layouts/popup keyboard on the CWM7?
TIA
Hi,
Samsung has given each of its smartphones, including the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, a so-called test-menu, which is also called service or secret menu. This menu can be used to test the functions of hardware components independently of the Android operating system .
To display the test menu on the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, you must follow this step by step guide:
Open from your Home screen the phone app. Switch within this app to the "Keypad" and then enter the following code on the keyboard:
*#0*#
When you enter this code, a new menu with different gray tiles on a white background will be displayed. Each of the tiles represents a hardware test. For example all sensors that are integrated in the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, can be tested under "sensor".
To exit the test menu, tap quickly twice on the Samsung Galaxy Alpha back button.
You now know where you can find and open the Test menu on your Samsung Galaxy Alpha.
