Hi,
Samsung has given each of its smartphones, including the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, a so-called test-menu, which is also called service or secret menu. This menu can be used to test the functions of hardware components independently of the Android operating system .
To display the test menu on the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, you must follow this step by step guide:
Open from your Home screen the phone app. Switch within this app to the "Keypad" and then enter the following code on the keyboard:
*#0*#
When you enter this code, a new menu with different gray tiles on a white background will be displayed. Each of the tiles represents a hardware test. For example all sensors that are integrated in the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, can be tested under "sensor".
To exit the test menu, tap quickly twice on the Samsung Galaxy Alpha back button.
You now know where you can find and open the Test menu on your Samsung Galaxy Alpha.

Hello Everyone,
I have a question about the Samsung clipboard and its usage in different apps. I have attached screen shots of two apps. The behavior is similar on Galaxy S3, and Galaxy Note 2
1. ColorNotepad shows the Samsung extended clipboard which I do a long press on the EditText control.
Also the default messaging app shows the Samsung clipboard too.
2. When I do the same long press on InkPad I don't seem to get that Samsung clipboard.
Both app's can be downloaded from Google Play. Any ideas on why is the behavior different on different apps ?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
The phones from Samsung, and a lot of other android phones as well, have a hardware module test. When in the dialer, you pres *#0*# for a menu to pop up. In this menu there are several tests to be done. My question is fairly simple. I'm searching for a way to make a shortcut to those test. So not the hardware module test menu, but specifically a test, let say the LED test.
I've two devices. A rooted Tab S (without dialer app) and a S7. When I'm on my Tab S, and make a shortcut in my launcher for an activity, I can scroll down to HwModuleTest and select a ton of activities ( see screenshot), but when I click on it, it says that the application is not installed. On my S7 I tried doing the same, but I didn't get as much options as on my Tab S, but if i choose the main activity, it also says application not installed.
Question: Is there another way to make this shortcut (WITHOUT ROOT)-or-is there a way to monitor all the activities the phone has. That way I can see what specific activity the HwModuleTest uses to peform these tests.
My gratitude will be great.
Can anybody tell me what the numeric keypad under settings version on on the Gear Fit 2.. I know on any Android device if you repeatedly press your Android version an animated screen pops up indicating the software version like KitKat or Marshmallow.. On the Gear Fit 2 when you repeatedly press software version a numeric keypad pops up similar to a calculator. A numeric keypad appears. Not a calculator but with simulator number buttons that displays corresponding numbers at the top.. Does this serve any function or is it just an animated Interactive things like on other Android operating system's?
Secret service menu, you can access it on the original gear fit
It seems the s7 Edge which will be sold in my country is g9350, the one with s820 chips.
I have 2 questions before buying this phone, please help
1. Will changing the resolution to 1080x1920, or 720x1280, using terminal emulator & build.prop, cause samsung system apps to crush or cannot be used anymore? I mean in stock android 6.0 ROM.
LG G3 D855 is like that, if you change to lower res with lower dpi, contacts dialer calender calculator message will force close. So will s7 edge be like that?
2. Can I reverse the functionality of recent task button & back button? Whether by rooting or not, I get used to Left=back button and right=recent task button, and I don’t like Samsung’s design on this. Is it possible to edit system files or other way to change this?
3. Is it possible to set the phone with double tap to wake screen option?
Thanks in advance.
Sorry if my english bad, use google translate to write this thread.

when open app with phone with physical button(home) like samsung galaxy J7 pro,J7 2016,J5 2015 the three dot menu is invisible,
question is:
1. how to show three dots menu in samsung phone or any phone with physical button?
2. it seems the app not compatible with nougat always force close when trying to connect.
The dev is no longer maintain/update the app (last update 2012), I already sent an email about it but dev say that he already left all about mikrotik and and have forgotten the source code of this app. is there anyone who can edit this apk to make compatible with nougat.
