Hi
I have E2303 with 6.0.1 unbloated from this forum. It's cool rom but my SuperSU cant be updated via recovery or settings. I can't unroot or delete this app by settings(nothing happens). Is there any way to unroot phone (i want to play pokemon go XD) except going back to stock rom? (bootloader is unlocked, TWRP)
You can unroot by flashing stock boot.img, but TWRP will stay there. So you would only lose SuperSU.
If you want Pokemon GO, download xposed installer, and install Xposed, and download exstension to hide root

That is nonsense since pogo introduced safetynet
As SuperSU causes nothing but trouble in terms of being able to use android pay, many apps, and the like, I wanted to move over to magisk, but I have SuperSU by virtue of a flashed boot image, so no matter what I try I can't get rid of superSU (even been rooting around in the system files to try and get rid of it and it just comes back).
Is there a magisk boot image for the E2303, and if not does anyone have a stock boot.img for the e2303 on hand, as I have managed to lose mine

Open supersu app Go to>setting's>select Full Unroot (clean up for permanent unroot)
Or do a clean install ( reflash ftf on flashtool ) then go get sorted with magisk
You can get everything you need to root with magisk for your M4 by LOOKING HERE.
Or checking out HERE.
Good luck
Hi everyone,
Here's the thing, I need to run my phone on Android 4.4 minimum, so I have to be on a Custom ROM because Stock ROMs stopped at 4.1.2
I'm currently running my Galaxy SII on CyanogenMod 12.1 (cm-12.1-20160203-NIGHTLY-i9100), Android 5.1.1, TWRP 3.1.0-0. I started from scratch, so it's a clean install, non-rooted.
My problem is that I don't pass Safetynet for now. I read here and there that I can delete /sytem/bin/su and /system/xbin/su files, but it doesn't solved my issue (still not pass Safetynet).
I tried to install Magisk v16.0 to see if MagiskHide will help me pass Safetynet, but when I try to flash it in TWRP, I have the message "unable to unpack boot image". I've got the same issue when I try to patch boot.img extracted from the zip's rom with Magisk Manager.
Can you guys please help me?
Just so you know, I can change my custom rom or my android version (newer than 4.4). All I need to have is a non-rooted (or hidden-rooted), safetynet checked.
Thanks in advance
AFAIK Magisk will not run at all on the SGS2, regardless of ROM or Android version.
You can however try and use Xposed. I know some users have it working and I'm fairly sure there is a module available for root cloaking / safetynet passing. Please don't quote me on that though as I have no direct experience. I just thought I'd give you a direction to head in until someone with more concrete information drops in.
All Xposed related threads and downloads can be found here on XDA.
Lets say I have a rooted device with Magisk installed and a custom kernel like ElementalX with stock ROM
What is the process of taking a OTA update without loosing data
Correct me if I am wrong or if there is a faster way
I install the boot I backed up before installing ElementalX
Uninstall Magisk, download OTA, install Magisk to "inactive slot"
Boot up
Install new version of ElementalX
Are there any other steps or things I need to know before I do that?
I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) running Android 10 without TWRP using only Magisk, Magisk Manager and Odin. A root checker confirmed I had root access and I had SuperSU. I then tried to install a Smali module in Magisk Manager which installed without issue. I rebooted the tablet just to be sure everything was installed correctly and now my tablet is no longer rooted. So I have 3 questions :
1. How can I reboot to recover without having TWRP? My tablet doesn't have ramdisk so it has to be booted in recovery for Magisk to work correctly.
2. Can I flash TWRP now without it causing problems or deleting data on the tablet? If so can it be done with Odin by flashing the TWRP AP?
3. How can I regain root access? Would flashing the Magisk patched AP with stock BL and CSC work?
