I bought Redmi note 3 Snapdragon variant last week (miui 7 preinstalled). updated my Miui 7 to 8 (Miui Global | Stable 8.0.1.0 - LHOMIDG) through OTA. i though installing CM rom but unfortunately I need to unlock bootloader first, then I came to know that i need to request unlock permission from here "miui.com/unlock/apply.php". luckily i got my unlock permission yesterday. now whenever i am trying to unlock bootloder though miui unlock tool, it stuck on 50% Couldn't verify device. So what should i do to pass that error?
there are a lot of videos available regarding this problem on youtube ... you can search for this and get your problem resolved.
From my experience, I will suggest you to wait a week more.
I faced the same problem when I went for the unlock a day after my permission was granted, but after a week it unlocked after a single try.

Hi, I need help. My girlfriend bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 32GB / 3GB RAM Mediatek Helio X10 version.
I want to upgrade the firmware because it needs an upgrade. Since she bought it, February, it didn't updated one single time, and it has some bugs that upset her. So, here is the problem.
I already asked for permission from Xiaomi to unlock the bootloader, and already got it. When I tried to unlock, got the 50% problem (Current account is different from the account info on the device). Since then, tried to flash (from the Updater App) the developer ROM, also with no success (couldn't verify package).
The last option, I believe I have, is to manually flash (using MI FLASH software) the developer ROM and after that, unlock the bootloader to finally install the MIUI 8.0 (that's the goal of all this, with the unlocked bootloader).
So, how can I do this? Suggestions, tips, tutorials, guides or experiences, everything is welcome!
You have to go to latest Beta/developer Version and the Unlock should work...
Else just Update miui, because maybe the Bugs are fixed

To unlock the bootloader, you must have the MIUI developer installed on the device

I already solved it by 'hard flashing" the miUI 8... because that's the version she wanted. Didn't try to flash the miUI 6 [developer] because I was lazy, but mainly because I didn't see any gains for her from doing it [unlocking the bootloader].
Thank you 2 for the replies!
Hi Guys,
I've been searching for 2 days now for a clear guide on how to unlock the bootloader for the Mediatek version and haven't found anything other than the official way. Can someone point me in the right direction please?
Thanks.

Hi again,
Another plea for help, I'd really appreciate it. I can't even make a MI account so I'm totally stuck.
Thanks.
Fews days back I purchased redmi note 3. Although it is a very good budget phone. But I wanted to to improve it more by installing custom ROM. For this the first step was unlocking bootloader. After a research I found that Unlocking bootloader unofficially is the fastest method. But unfortunately while doing this steps, my phone got soft bricked after which I was only able to access ''FASTBOOT'' mode. Then I downloaded a ''Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Latest Global Stable Version Fastboot ROM'' and successfully flashed it over my phone using ''MI Flash Tool''. The phone booted perfectly after this, But after that My network was gone and my camera also stopped working. After that I tried some old version ROMs also, but still the camera and network was missing from the phone. I also installed cyanogenmod 12.1 from Santosh developer, but nothing worked. At last I again installed the ''Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Latest Global Stable Version Fastboot ROM''. Now I am using this phone without camera and network. I tested sim card in other mobile. SIM card is absolutely fine. I am really worried about how to fix this :crying:
I will be very thankful if anyone sorts out my problem
Even the sensors on this device seems to be dead (All 37 sensors).
DEVICE: Redmi note 3 Snapdragon 3GB RAM, 3 GB ROM
Android Lollipop 5.1.1
MIUI version : 8.0.6.0 (LHOMIDG) Global Stable

Ask amazon for replacement if its not a month after buying the phone. My brother did the same thing when he got his Mi4i Hard Bricked. He told amazon,"Dead on Arrival". That's one way. The other way is, consult the service centre and pay some bounty for ****ing your phone off! :cyclops:
Hit Thanks if I Helped You!

Okay, weird story but also your fault in some point!
For the next time, unlocking the BL officially will now takes about 1-3 days, very fast. It was taking long in the past, cause everyone needs to unlock the BL, of course (500) employees can't send the permission in 24hrs for million of devices.
Try to replace it over Amazon, maybe they will send you a new one, but with unofficial method, the warranty is void, for now what you can try is to root your device and flash the whole camera & network image new on your device or have a look in the build.prop, i think there's something disabled!
Good Luck! :good:
The problem is solved. Actually my phone was of Special edition and I was using pro ROM because of which the things were not working. Now my device is back to normal.
I want to delete this post. Its up to moderators, if they wish to delete or keep this post. Its their choice.
i have same issue
Just wanted to know if anyone has unlocked the bootloader of their Redmi Note 5.
I tried everything like flashing Global Developer as well as China Developer, but whenever I try to bind my account, Error 86006 pops up.
Tried all VPN's, even on China dev, but no success.
If anyone has any solution, please post it down below!
Indonesian here,
We have the same problem buddy... Well it already answered by xiaomi Indonesia that there will be no more unlocking bootloader on Indonesian phone.
Hopefully Indian users still can unlock bootloader.
Yup same problem i can bind device still getting 86006 error even in developer rom btw my model name MEI7
same error
i am facing same 86006 error
Any solutions to this problem?
You guys just gotta wait for Xiaomi to push an update for Global Beta or Stable ROM to fix this 86006 error for our MEI7. This model being the recent launch, it's gonna take some time. So just sit back and relax. It'll eventually get fixed soon.

I don't think they (Mi Indonesia) said "no more ubl". They're just trying hard for us to not make us unlock our bootloaders so they get less work, typical PR stuff. I mean our devices isn't even tied by carriers (like some phone in US that can't be unlocked if the mentioned phone is sold through carriers instead of the manufacturer themselves).
But yeah hearing our Indian buddies get the same binding problem kinda make me convinced that this is indeed a bug. Well, MIUI 9.5 is coming, so let's hope the bug got resolved there. Cheers.

I don't think this is bug but its intended... Xiaomi restrict ubl on certain type or certain market.
2 days ago, suddenly the restriction was lifted. All Indonesian device except redmi 5+ can bind account without error.
but we still need to wait for 360 hours before we can Unlock the bootloader.

Oh yeah i meant it was for sure intended but i don't think it's "impossible" to unlock it, or so i hope.
Oh, really? All devices for our market (assuming you're Indonesian as well) except Redmi 5+? Let me test that. Less than a week ago i was trying to unlock a friend's Redmi 4X to no avail, getting the 86203 error when trying to bind the device. The solutions are quite varied too, from flashing ROMs to using VPN when binding, he didn't want to flash ROMs. I can contact him immediately. May i know what conditions are required for you to successfully unlock a device that isn't Redmi 5+ for our market? It could be very helpful for others too.
I don't get any 86006 error on Redmi Note 5 (India). Got unlocking permission also but I can't bind account as it says Can't connect to network. Is that strange? I have strong internet connection.

Just remove your Mi account and add it back. You will also get the error.

Hello.
I got my bootloader unlock code since 2 months from when i requested it and i have it backed up, but still haven't "applied" it. I just don't want to do it yet, but i have it in case i want to install different ROM in the future.
So can i apply the bootloader code in the future or is it recommended to do it now?
Thanks!
The code will permenantly remain the same so do as you like

Yesterday I rooted my Honor 9, using the unlock code that I requested the first week I bought the phone, 8 months ago!
I waited so long to be sure the phone works OK, and because I could live without rooting... but finally I couldn't resist !
Nevermind... unlock code was still active 8 months later, even after some updates and changing version of Android. So don't worry!!
The bootloader code is tied to the bootloader, so it will work forever.
Hail guys, I need help. Recently I bought a Redi Xiomi note 4X in the gearbest, apparently the cell phone came all okay. But the rom that came installed was the Miui 10 Global Beta, and in the announcement the device is with 3GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Only in this rom is 1.50GB of RAM, and it is catching too much. I tried to unlock the bootloader, but it appears there 48hrs for the unlock, my doubt is, if I wait that time and redo the unlock process will work? I want to install TWRP, and change the rom. Can someone help me?
