how you root it i think you have to flash it using flashtool
I used Kingroot on 5.1... How to unroot c5 for OTA?
guys its so simple...
if you use supersu it will be in settings. just press unroot or remove root from system then its gone. or search unroot apps in play store.
if you unlocked bl and using twrp, factory reset phone. unroot. then go flashmode use flashtool, lock BL(if unrooted completely). then dont open the phone after locking again. go xperia companion and do a repair it will be fresh stock rom

your phone can be unlocked bootloader, you should check it, if your phone unlocked bootloader, you can't update OTA, only use flashtool
I have the same problem with my neo
i checked and my phone's bootloader isn't unlocked
DO NOT INSTALL CWM before OTA update, it will cause the failure. Install CWM after OTA update to v.062.
So:
- root v42
- install OTA v62
- install CWM
All done.
Is still possible to receive OTA update to .62, even when ICS has been released? I was thinking of a downgrade because of the poor video and wifi performance but this kept me from trying.

Though you locked your bootloader back but can you please tell me with which method did you unlock the bootloader ??
Because i think you have lost your DRM and once they are gone you cant get it back (DRM gets lost while unlocking the bootloader). And if DRM is lost then you cannot use SE official updates
lol i wont buy a new one for now.

s1tool.
Check Neo V dev. section for more info.
I rooted my Xperia L-LT221 with this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2023756. Basically, it does this with a Flashtool:
- Flash 6.1.B.0.599_Kernel via FlashTool
- Reboot then run Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry
- Flash 6.1.1.B.1.75_Kernel via FlashTool
I have root, because Titanium Backup works.
Now I am trying to UNROOT the phone. I connected the phone to my PC and run Flashtool. Selected Root --> Unroot and I was prompted that my device was "NOT ROOTED".
How can I unroot the phone? I am trying to go back to factory state.
Model: LT22i
Android: 4.0.4
Baseband: u8500-49020908-P2H_EC01
Kernel: 3.0.8+ (stock)
Build: 6.1.1.B.1.54
Not realy clear what are you trying to do.
You can flash stock ROM and lose all settings and some data (call log, contacts, messages, settings etc.)
Or you can delete su binary and app.
Why do you want to unroot?

Basically, goes back to factory state. The phone is still on 4.0.4 and I believe the root stop ANY OTA, since I haven't received any updates for JB from Sony.
So I can flash stock ROM using FlashTool? Where can I get the stock ROM?
It only stops updates if you unlock bootloader. Yes you can upgrade with flashtool. Just google Xperia P 6.2.A.1.100 ftf

I didn't unlock the boot loader. As a matter of fact, the link to root above is ONLY for locked boot loader.
However, I never get OTA update, so something is causing this. Thus, I want to go back to factory state to make sure they're is no other surprises.
Um @lanwarrior you can always flash it with flashtool?? No need for such a big trouble.

Good point. Mine is the international version though, so it is not tied to any particular region.
Looks like I have to use the generic world version?
@lanwarrior I can only find the Central Europe but i think that should be fine.

There is none. I have SuperUser v3.0.7, the old one from back in...err..2012? This is not SuperSU.
I did a factory reset (NOT FLASH ROM) on the phone, and this fix OTA thing. After factory reset, I immediately get notice that there is an update for my phone (6.2.A.0.400).
Now I just cannot remove SuperUser!

Search for the stock ROM on XDA( the same one you are using) and flash using flashtool (Search and you will find tutorials). This will unroot your phone and remove SuperSU.
If you want to keep your SMS, call logs etc, use a backup app from Google Play.

Does towelroot root the xperia z2 with .314 firmware ? And it roots it with the bootloader locked right? And if yes can i update the stock firmware via ota or pc companion as soon as a new stock firmware is available? Thanks !
@nicojapanese Hi m8, yeah Towelroot will root .314 Firmware (I used it with my locked Bootloader). It may update over OTA but no guarantee. You can update via Pc companion by repairing your phone (you will loose root though) then re- rooting or you can flash a FTF via Flash tool. You can find loads of usefull info and links regarding Bootloaders, Flashtool, rooting and recoveries etc here. Hope this helps ya a bit m8:good:
OTA/Usb updates will fail verifacation if rooted
Unroot and uninstall all mods and it should work, if not flash a FTF using flashtool

I tried now rooting this model for a long time, I finally found a way of doing it.
1: Install Kingo root app from here https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwOSXw-lPe-mZWxPQ0lXc3pqcnc/view?usp=docslist_api and run it (it will fail to root).
2: UNINSTALL Kingo app.
3: Now install kingroot app from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=17287 and run it.
NOTICE: I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone.
YOU WILL LOSE YOU WARRENTY BY DOING THIS

Good luck[emoji4]

After this you probably want to install Supersu and remove kingroot
Just download this app from here: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...l1JRAN8IZNkFinqvQ&sig2=kFJEvANWx8_lrBM7N9MnCA and follow the instructions.

I recommend replacing kingroot with Supersu because some people find it a little shady, also it runs in the background all the time which could potentially reduce battery life

I have sony c4 dual E5333 witn android 6.0.1. When I type in code *#*#7378423#*#* and go to root in the menu, it says my bootloader can't be unlocked so I cannot root the phone. Is there any file I can flash to overwrite the bootloader and flash new rom then. Nothing works. The all say unlock code is useless if the the bootloader can't be unlocked, I have tried it and it says the bootloader cannot be unlocked using flashtool. Can anyone help me get around this. The upgrade to 6.0.1 has messed with my gsm settings which means I cannot receive mms at all anymore.
Using sony companion to repair the software bricked my phone so it had to be sent to sony to reload the software and still I cannot receive mms.
Cant downgrade the software either.
Can anyone tell me how do I get around this bootloader that cant be unlocked please or how do I override/overwrite the boatloader to unlock it??

If bootloader remains locked, you can upgrade to latest upgrade using the new Xperia Companion and reroot it again using kingroot, and later on replacing it with SuperSU. But you better backup your data, because mostly you need to format your phone, This is What I did and it worked.
