Hello,
I'm looking forward to buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 especially after being surprised with the huge amount of reviews made in favour of this device
But lately, I've been turned off by the endless critical bug reports that may be software or hardware related issues. From GPS fix errors, WiFi faulty connectivity to even slight things like a proximity sensor issue.
So, what do you think?

I own this device for like 4months and I didn't notice any of those issues. Gps works very well and fast, wifi is stable and I don't have any proximity sensor issues. The only issue/bug I noticed is that the gyroscope acts crazy in low light conditions and that the phone doesn't have good camera.

The problems still persists nowadays, in September. I don't think I should risk buying this phone despite its awesome look and features
Why the heck should he look in a forum? he owns the device and answered your questions... he doesnt have problems. i onw a kenzo too and have none of your reported issues...

Yes you don't have proximity issue because you have Liteon Proximity sensor and i have Sensortek Proximity sensor this sensor have proximity bug and mostly its a software bug but with Sensortek don't have Gyroscope lag or issue, Liteon users face Gyroscope lag and VR bug....
So Liteon Sensor - Vr and Gyroscope Issue
Sensortek Sensor- Proximity issue
Both have some temporary workaround to fix issue, other than that no issues so far.....

Do not look at the forums right away, you need to own and understand it first, more so if this is your first MIUI phone. The issues in the forums are due to various reasons:
1. There are some genuine ones, i agree. But very few, I am using it for the last 4 months, nothing to highlight.
2. There are some that are fruits of homo-sapien stupidity.
3. Xiaomi releases beta, development version ROMs for testing from time to time, so they would have bugs, always be on a stable ROM.
4. Updates via OTA (which people normally do) are not as stable as when you fastboot the ROM. It just screws up badly at times. C'mon its not Apple.
5. Some of them screw themselves up by trying to customize their phone to insane levels.
The various customization options, other ROM's for this device are praiseworthy. Its a nice device worth your money, if you are not into it, your'e missing something !!!
Your logic is backwards. The MI forum is a help forum therefore you're going to see most people with problems. The millions of other users don't necessarily need to post there.
I've had mine for 5 months and it's chugging along nicely thank you very much! ☺

Exactly, that's what forums are made for.
Comment to OP:
We will mostly find threads where problems are mentioned, nobody creates thousands of threads to say how wonderfull the phone is.
So if you're still afraid of buying this phone when maybe 2% of people have some problems, then just buy some other device and pay more.

You got to remember what you use your phone for!
If you want just a phone, then buy an iphone. Expensive but reliable and will probably be ok for daily use of phone + txt + bit of browsing.
If you want to be a techy geek who enjoys the freedom of android, rooting and millions of cool features then buy a phone as powerful as Redmi Note 3. Having bugs etc are just the side effects of having an awesome phone.

I'm aware of your point but that doesn't make my logic backwards. I know the difference between a rare sample and a prevalent sample. I have just noticed that the proximity issue is persistent and it's normal to come and ask about that here. That's all the story. Not being shallow minded by wanting to buy a flawless phone because nothing is impeccable.
This device has various revisions so each device will be different, i've had mine for 2 months now with no major issues, also no gyro / proximity bug, wifi is stable no dissconnects (mostly use 5ghz channel), battery still works, camera is 'ok', gps works great very fast lock even faster then my samsung.
Though if you are new to android or tweaking devices I suggest avoiding this device since they usually require some more advanced knowledge flashing roms, unlocking, installing drivers (usually vendors install the wrong firmware) so requires you to re-flash it.

Hey it's your money either way. I've been very lucky with Chinaphones and have had very few problems. One thing I've learned is to stick with the better known brands like Xiaomi, Huawei, ZTE, Lenovo etc. But since you're nitpicking I suggest you get a feature phone because statistically it will be (compared to a smartphone) flawless. Buy whatever brand you want bro. I'm happy with my phone and haven't encountered the issues you refer to just like most of the people who have responded to this thread. Therefore you have the answers from satisfied users.

2 things:
Redmi Note 3 has been sold in 100's of thousands, of course there will be some people reporting problems with that ammount of phones out there. For example they've sold about 600.000 units in India alone. In the Xiaomi forum you find a couple of hundreds, or even say thousand complains, but what about the 599.000 that haven't reported any issues?
The level, both language barrier and technical, on the Xiaomi forums are rediculous! A big percentage of reported problems are caused by the users or by pure misunderstandings. If you wanna refer to how big issues a phone is having i recommend looking in a trusted forum, may i suggest XDA?
By the way, if my RN3 broke today i would order a new one tomorrow. Hope that answers your question...

I agree but some issues can't be ignored because myself have issues with Proximity i tried everything re-calibrating and all even went to service center they did the same thing re-flashed rom and re-calibrated sensor and said its solved the issue came back after some time, im 100% sure there are issues with Proximity and some users face Gyroscope issue mostly with "liteon sensors" i have proximity issues with Sensortek i don't think its a hardware issue..... Other than its a Great phone for the price No complaints at all....

Hello! This is a request to all the developers for Galaxy S II. You probably already know that some Galaxy S II suffer from the problem of low-fps (stuttering) with low-light conditions. That is resolved with the firmware of the camera of the Samsung I997 (Infuse 4G), but putting this firmware, the LED flash does not work anymore. You can change the firmware?
The firmware does help is the SIEG03. Camera firmwares topic here on XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098834&page=110
Thank you in advance if can help.
Behind SGS2's Camera: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4686/samsung-galaxy-s-2-international-review-the-best-redefined/9
It would be great if some of devs look at this fw and changes what is problem so flash stop working
Indeed, i would be great +1
I sent a private message to Chainfire and email to Supercurio. I hope they meet!
Great thread! SC cameras are the ones that have low light framerate issue. If someone resolves the flash issue it will be great.
Is this the same thing as the low-light autofocus laggy thing?
I made a video at my friends birthday in a nightclub and it's crap! Had to delete it! Blurring and lagging every few seconds!
I know potatoman might do something about it but he's busy at uni now, I'm kinda surprised nobody has jumped on this issue. One of the big reasons I got the S2 was the camera...turns out it's not that good
Yes. Its that problem. And is laggy beacuse of some galaxy s2 camera modules have some bad firmware. The SIEGO3 fix the suttering in video but remove the led flash of the videos and we cant use it like assisted lamp for autofocus. If someone implement in the firmware, our problem is solved.
+1
It would be great! Thanks
Maybe someone who knows cyanogen can tell him to tell samsung to fix it. I mean he does work for them now

Maybe Samsung are aware of the framerate issue... they should be considering how many of us have this problem, but before they can release the firmware it proberly need to be tested ect so takes time.
Im using the infuse 4G firmware & more than happy to plod along with it, until a fix is released by either a Dev or Samsung.
I had a Galaxy S before i got the S2, so having no light in video isn't to much of a problem for me, the camera flash works which is more important, even without the pre focus light the camera still locks on 99% of the time in low light.
TBH that pre focus light of the orginal cam firmware was annoying as hell to some people, as it use to blind them before the flash kicked in lol.
Anyways im happy with having constant 30fps in either 720p or 1080p without any framerate problems.
The well-known dev's are unlikely to respond to PMs as they'd get hundreds\thousands a day, mostly from noobs, so unless they're from people they already know, I wouldn't expect a response. Plus a lot of them don't frequent XDA as it's turned into a noobfest where the "popular" devices are involved.
You could try posting over on the Cyanogen forums.
Steve (Cyanogen) is not likely to be in a position to "tell" Samsung to fix anything, and certainly not for a device that is as old as the SGS2 is now.
You could try logging a fault with Samsung themselves, they have been known to respond, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Just a heads up that while I'd love to help with this, I don't experience the issue myself, so I wouldn't even be able to test if my fix would work or not. I'm also not comfortable with my code being flashed- my firmware modding capabilities are limited at best... and flashing a bad camera firmware can be irreversible.
Sorry guys, good luck finding someone else who can help though.
The aim of this thread is to list all common problems (common = happens for many people) with the LG G2, in order to provide an easy place to find solutions for these problems, once we'll have such solutions. This will also be a good place to warn people interested in buying this phone (don't get me wrong it's a great phone, but some of these problems might be deal breakers to some).
My hope is that with time, all of these problems will be addressed by LG or XDA developers, in order to make them a non-issue.
List is updated to October 8th, 2013.
Problems:
1. Camera (stills): poor quality at low light.
2. Camera (video): poor quality due to shaky focus (the video is stable due to OIS, but the focus is shaky). Moving objects appear blurry. Also blurry image at low light. (link).
3. External speakerphone - very low decibel levels (link).
4. A2DP Bluetooth - problems maintaining stable connection with many devices. Also poor sound quality when connected to many devices (link)
5. Random reboots - when trying to get out of the lock screen (link).
6. Device fluidity - excellent at first days/weeks, but then deteriorates considerably to the point the device becomes laggy (S4 like). It's possible this has been exaggerated, but for now I'm keeping this as a possible common problem.
7. Screen oversensitive to touch - makes it hard to type correctly on the keyboard or browse the internet (link)
8. Overheating issue - especially when gaming with CPU intensive games (but also with GPS navigation), after several minutes the device throttles down the CPU to cool down (many threads about this problem).
9. Knock-ON feature doesn't work reliably - sometimes needs many taps to wake from sleep.
10. Choppy youtube playback - especially HD content (link)
Solutions:
1. None.
2. None.
3. Possible solutions: (A) mod to increase sound level output (link), (B) use Viper4Android (3rd party app that allows to increase sound levels).
4. None.
5. None.
6. None.
7. None.

I just got mine and noticed moving subjects would come out blurry, I changed the uniform auto to 800 and that seemed to fix it.

Pardon me for a lot of text. Please skip if reading isn't your thing.
Great idea for a thread, but I think common is perhaps a bit misleading. The commonality of the random reboot and device 'fluidity' are extremely anecdotal. In addition, the term poor, in certain cases, are possibly inaccurate as well. For example, low light situations are going to be difficult for any phone camera and the results may be mediocre by point and shoot camera standards or a dedicated enthusiast level camera, but likely about average for a smart phone camera. So to consider them poor would entail having an actual comparison with other smart phones in the same conditions.
I'm completely behind this thread and think it might deserve to be stickied if it can live up to it's potential, but just wanted to help the thread along by trying to keep things reasonably accurate and realistic.
Is there a thread for point 6, "Device fluidity - excellent at first days/weeks, but then deteriorates considerably to the point the device becomes laggy (S4 like)."?
My experiences with the G2 AT&T are:
1. Camera puts too much faith in it's OIS to get a sharp picture and so the shutter speed is too slow, and focus wanders too long, so images are blurry. If you are taking a picture of a pet or young child and you get them to be still for a second and take the picture, the preview image of when you actually pressed the shutter will be sharp but the actual picture taken is a second later and not the shot you wanted.
2. Video suffers from what appears to be a similar scenario of wandering focus, too slow shutter speeds, too low ISO.
3. Viper4Android and similar apps resolve the sound issue to my satisfaction and then some. I don't use my phone's speakers for anything critical beyond speakerphone and I've not had any issue with it, but Viper4Android solves the low volume as far as I'm concerned so I would consider that a solution. Indeed it involves a third-party app, so it's not a resolved problem. (On a side note, avoid Beats Audio, Beats by Dre etc., there are better alternatives. It pains me no end to see charlatans and mountebanks making out like bandits.)
4. A2DP is reasonable sound quality for my car but I've not had the chance to compare to other phones. A2DP is notorious for some sort of sound issue, so not sure the G2 is considerably worse than others. From reading the thread it appears most are using their car's BT solutions which are dialed in for Apple products since they are the standard and mature. The wide variety of ROMS used in the phones that people are comparing to their recently released G2 make for a difficult comparison. Some said in the thread they had no problems, some said it was better than previous phones, some said worse.
5. Never had a problem with a reboot ever. Very stable for me; using Cleanrom 1.0 then 1.1.
6. Lag hasn't been getting worse at all. There is your typical lag of when, for example, you scroll down your app drawer quickly with a couple of strong flicks and it has to load up those new icons quickly, but that's not unreasonable and not what I think most people are complaining about. During the first week or so of having the phone, my Swype keyboard while using Next browser was slow to input key entries but it hasn't been a problem since and it's very hard to know what was the exact issue.
1. Not resolved yet
2. Not resolved yet
3. Solution
4. Not necessarily a common problem to this phone in particular, many phones have AD2P issues.
5. Not necessarily a common problem.
6. Not necessarily a common problem.

Touch screen problems
...
Problem #6 would be resolved with an update to android 4.3. That version has fs trim that frees up some inactive activities in RAM. It helped greatly with the gnex and nexus7 OG. It also has to do with the LG UI embedded in the phone.

No offense but half the crap listed here is subjective. My device has never under any circumstance rebooted or slowed down. In fact, yesterday it got up to 117°F and the device never slowed down or dimmed the screen. I've had the device for 2 almost 3 weeks and the performance is exactly how it was out of the box...
Edit: Just watched that video and that doesn't happen on my T-Mobile version.

+1 on listing carrier for each one. I am not advocating one carrier over another but I know Verizon tends to insist on lots of checking and device specs (bloat ware also) before they release a phone. So I am curious, especially about the touch screen issue. That said, Verizon also slows down android updates which sort of sucks.

4. Not necessarily a common problem to this phone in particular, many phones have AD2P issues.

Thank you for this reply.
3. I've added Viper as a possible solution.
4. I've read that thread again, out of 13 testimonials, 62% report problems (disconnections, lack of bass, overall poor quality, important functions not working, etc.), while only 38% reported it to be as good as previous device (or better). So I think that for now, A2DP is a legitimate common problem with the LG G2. I will keep a close eye on that thread.
6. There is no single thread that deals with the lag issue, rather many anecdotal stories within different threads...

Just to add, on VZW. No lag since release date. Never had a reboot. Stream BT audio through my car and its always clear and never dropped. Just like someone that goes to a great restaurant and thinks they had a bad meal...they tell everyone the restaurant isnt good, even though the majority of people were satisfied but never told everyone about it. Just dont like people reading these prior to buying and saying, ugh, this phone has all these problems!

If those people are smart, they will read the equivalent thread of competitor devices too.

Thank you for starting this thread and for your reassessments and improvements to the thread.
As a few have mentioned, those that have an issue skew the results within a thread. If a thread is started by someone with an issue, for example the drifting screen contact points, and there are no replies from anyone saying they don't have a problem then it's too early to make an assumption as to how big a problem it is for the whole community. How do we even know for sure the person with the screwy screen didn't drop the phone?
Anyway, you rightly didn't want to add that problem to the list of more common issues and I agree.
Any idea what the causes for the lag are turning out to be? I recall something about Verizons OTA update being coincidental or perhaps a Google update was it? I don't recall.
Keep up the good work.

I've seen "memory management" as one suggestion, but too early to tell for sure.
There are several issues with the camera. However the fact that panorama is lower resolution and quality (file size) than normal pictures seems like a bug. Also if you edit a photo the quality is reduced.

The only issue I have that is on your list is the camera stuff. I turn off IA and that helps it take pictures faster. Making sure to touch the screen where I want it to focus helps sometimes. Last weekend, I was at an anniversary party at a restaurant at noon. I had the flash on auto and went off most of the time, and still only 1 in 3 pics were worth keeping. Most pictures were slightly out of focus or grainy even on posed shots.
Am I the only one with slow/weak GPS lock? My G2 is almost as bad as my GNex was. If it's cloudy or I'm in my house sometimes it won't lock at all. Last night I stood in my livingroom next to a window and it took over a minute to finally lock on to 5 of 11. I put the S4 right next to it and it locked in under 10 seconds on 17 of 22. I use the GPS Status app to watch it lock. I have installed Faster Fix but that didn't help it any. Since I haven't seen anyone else mention GPS, I might just have a bad unit.

I want a rom that fixes the gps on the cross c1. It doesn't work on the one I was sent.
I have ordered the UMI Cross / C1 from iShoppstore and am expecting delivery just after Christmas. I am aware the problems people have had with the Chinese smartphones regarding the Wifi and GPS connectivity but I believe for the most part these are fixable and have been documented elsewhere. So it is with interest that I await to see what problems I will have with mine. I did see some newspaper article that UMI were going to start selling their smartphones in the UK.... http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/business/news/umi-smartphones-to-launch-in-the-uk-29610580.html Not sure if this article is to be taken seriously though.
It would be nice to get the KitKat upgrade for this model though I doubt this will happen any time soon. I am very curious if you have resolved the issues you had with the Cross. Can you let me know how its going for you and what problems you've had as I'm sure my phone will be the same.
Cheers
The GPS is really finicky. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. But, it never has worked throughout a complete trip of more than 10 minutes. I've had several other smartphones before this, some from China, and never had a GPS problem before. I guess it's just my time to experience what others warned me about. Still, I'm hopeful that a rom will be put out in the future that will resolve the GPS problem.
I'm finding the screen is not evenly lit but for me this is not a problem unless I look for it and most of the time you only notice it on a white screen. On Christmas day I spoke to my family using skype using the front facing camera over wifi and it worked flawlessly. Later on we did a test comparing the Sammy S3 and prev gen iPad front facing cameras and the C1 was definitely better. Tested bluetooth to link to home stereo briefly to play music on device, absolutely no problems. There is supposed to be a Yamaha sound chip but I can't make up my mind whether sound is better compared to my Note 1 when playing MP3s.
Call quality is better than my now broken Note 1 for sure and the 2G and 3G I really can't fault. Used the 3G quiet a bit on Christmas day as the house we were visiting did not have wifi and with the exception of some periods downloads were really pretty good. Haven't tested the GPS enough to pass a fair verdict. I did use it when I first got it and it jumped around a bit in Gmaps but I wonder if that was down to the fact I had put my 3G sim in the wrong slot so had no mobile broadband
Finding the phone is quiet slippery and the size adds to the problem so am eagerly awaiting a silicone cover for it. One thing I've noticed is when I turn the phone on the pattern unlock screen is a bit sluggish and I have to re-enter to unlock.
Anyone found any english manuals for this phone?
UMI CROSS
Using this phone since last week, build is just enough, nothing to impress neither to disgrace. I tested this phone for 2 days on stock rom, on stock ROM everything is working as it should but I do have doubts about wifi regarding link dropping. sometimes blurry camera, and just before I made my mind to switch to custom ROM, I did observed some random reboots. then I switched to LEWA OS 5. used it for another 2 days, NFC gone, blurry camera, Large icons. Finally I flashed MIUI, working great since then, still no NFC though. camera a bit improved(I rarely use mobile camera). after using Xposed modules=>app setting with per app dpi. results are impressive. this app really justifies the big screen and gives that most required tablet ui feel to apps. even some battery calibration issues are there, battery still produce awesome results throughout all ROMs. with heavy very usage battery lasted for atleast a day.

Not had any problems at all with Wifi or random rebooting, so maybe I'm just lucky. How does the NFC work is there an app on the phone to use it? Camera in low light is not good at all but a software upgrade should solve that. Will have to have a look at the Xposed Additions in the app store, wasn't aware of it before. Do you have a link for the MIUI rom for the Cross C1?
Overall I have to say I'm happy with the phone too and that big screen is great!

NFC works great but on stock, you can use trigger app. MIUI for c1 don't support NFC for now, as far as WiFi I am not confirm with issue..it may or may not be there..random rebooting started after connecting USB. But solved later by new ROM, camera is real let off for the phone. It may get better by ROM upgrade.
Use needrom for miui ROM with CTR recovery, and xposed 2.4.1, it worked for me...
About size, no one really notices the odd size of the phone. That's does qualify for nice design...
Overall its great for those who want phablet tablet in between.

Have you tried this rom and if so would like to know what you think. I imagine its as efficient as the MIUI5. Can you resize the icons on MIUI5 or can you use Nova launcher to do that. Would like to give the MIUI5 a go but will wait until I come back after holiday as I've more or less got my stock phone the way I want it and everything is working fine. Like you said I don't think the stock rom is very efficient but its fine for now.
Hi everyone. I received this phone in Ireland yesterday from antelife.com,(they have a bad rep, but are UMI official resellers and I had no problem with my order). I have rooted and kept the stock rom, and installed a custom recovery from needrom.com. I also installed xposed and gravity box. I have had no problems other than 3 times now my screen has gone haywire registering rapid phantom screen presses. Battery pulling is the only way to solve this temporarily. Has anyone else got this problem? Also how do we go about setting up an XDA section for our phone?
Thanks,
Teamick5
Touch wood no problems so far with my phone. Not properly tested yet is the GPS or NFC. Happy with the stock rom but am looking to flash a custom rom from needrom but will leave that for another few weeks. What do you think of the sound quality when playing music through headphones, not sure what to make of it? Camera quality especially in low light is pretty poor and in daylight jury is still out. Overall happy with purchase. Bit peeved of to find out warranty is void if not bought through an official retailer, all I can say if this phone goes south I won't be buying a Chinese replacement if they are going to be like that. iShoppstore where I bought mine do say on their website they would give a 1 year warranty so who knows!
Cheers
Tried my headphones today and there is a bug whereby the loudspeaker plays swell and won't auto shut off. Battery life has been excellent, unplugged yesterday morning at 8 and it finally died just after midnight in the pub. That was with constant heavy use all day and data on as I have no WiFi at home. I have also found an lenovo app called "lesafe" running in the background. I cannot enter it, what is it?
negative experience
speaker volume not loud enough and poor high pitch sound.
battery percentage erratic. when at 14% usage very long until 10% (i watched movie 1.5 hrs then 7 hrs standby, it died when i was listening radio and waze gps on). beyond 10% it dropped almost instancely. sometimes after reboot battery shows double!
can get into cwm recovery 1st few times but not anymore.
good points, camera/video, after gps fix very fast lock
yeah there should be a thread on umi cross.

okay, just go to google and copy and paste below

then go to that link>go to the field box on the top to search and paste again and press the button on the right to search, you will get the result and click it and it will take you the website.
So I am hoping it is official release from Umi Cross.
I just got an Umi cross and found some trojans on the device so I want to flash a new rom onto it but I'm not sure what to flash or how
I can't even get into recovery D:

Hello everyone,
I have an issue with my camera as it doesn't focus after 25cm. Before I ask for your help I would like to mention that I used many camera apps and I have change many roms including Miui 9, Oreo 8.1, lineage[/B][/B] etc. At last I ask for gearbest's help (where I buy my le max 2 x829) if there is anything I can do in order to fix it. The only answer I receive is that my device doesn't support focus function and that is why all photos are blurry take 300 points. When I buy it thought the camera worked fine! Please help me , camera was the reason why I bought this device in first place.

First, always make a search before post, your problem is common on this device, and the dev of the rom you are using can provide a kernel with focus fix, and its ok.
Any rom you will install first take a search on the thread and see if have a focus fix or not for camera.
Second, provide what rom you are using now! so we can help you.
I use pixel experience x2 8.1 official. I know there are many post about it the problem is that I have use almost every (even Chinese) roms. Right now I am downloading rr- v6.0.0

Ask the dev of the rom you are dwnloading for a kernel with focus fix for you, or you still have the focus problem.
I have download the rr v6.0.0 , as you may have already seen there is a focus fix kernal to download there provided by them I did the same installation 2 times once yesterday and once today after I completely format my phone I start from flash nothing happen I still have the same problem. I start with a question as some may had the same problem and found that focus fix kernal and that rom.
Thank you all in advance

If flashing the focus fix kernel for the you are using, maybe going back to EUI make it work again?
If not, than you have a hardware problem.

about the camera i dont have any issue or focus issue on any rom.
Yep I have exactly the same focus issue as OP, was wondering if going back to stock EUI would help bring the camera back to life.
Tested on 19s EUI Indian ROM and on 26s Chinese EUI ROM and It still doesn't work, I think this is a hardware problem caused by a software, I guess we're stick with this camera till the end.

Stupid answer actually. Try to flash stock eui, if still broken, you should ask for refund.
The problem is that hardware may vary, some people have problems, some other don't
recently I also have same focus and blur issue with my Le Eco max 2
in last month when I handset not showing focus , but next day I don't find any issue with camera , then I noticed that due to summer and I was outside my handset body was hot and next day it was in normal temp
but again after very next day I found same issue and its not working in normal body temp
and this issue is only with rear camera and not with front camera
please help me for focus and blur issue with my rear camera
Hi,
I think it's time to say that we have to stop thinking that this is due to the rom ... I had two leeco max 280 & 281 with the original roms ... the focus is break down on both after a few months. It is a material problem. I bought and change the cameras (V1611) by V1620 & v1621 and since it is perfectly ok.
Regards
Heyyo, for focus issues? X2's do have weak camera actuators. My x2 was fine for the longest time, but I'm clumsy and have dropped it a few times and now I do require focus fix to be enabled.
Most ROMs these days have a toggle found in the settings btw. For LineageOS? It would be found under Settings > System > Advanced > LeEco Settings.
I have seen before that some users report attaching a coin magnet beside the camera, I think below the flash module can help with getting the camera to focus again... Albeit at the loss of OIS since the camera won't be able to balance... So at that point? You are better off ordering a new camera module and replacing it. The fingerprint sensor replacement guide for x2 is amazing here on XDA and the camera sensor is just beside the fingerprint sensor so that guide works good for this purpose too.
I got my 6 Pro in December. It had the November update on it. The fingerprint reader was and still is god awful - it's my biggest complaint. Had the 3 XL before and never had a single issue with it. Just did the February update yesterday and now my WiFi and Bluetooth has gone to complete and utter ****. Constant disconnects, constant drop outs. I'm really tired of this "flagship" phone :/
Genuine Question for the Pixel 6 diehards
With all of the problems that the Pixel 6 / 6Pro have encountered in its 6 month existence, how can you still say that this is a great phone?? Set aside the “mY pHoNe iS wOrKiNg FiNe” BS for just a minute, and acknowledge that there are thousands...

Another one-post wonder? Or is it the same one-post wonder making a sock-puppet account?
Rants don't do anything except make you look unhinged. Seriously, we all get it: the phone isn't perfect. I know it feels good to express yourself and moan to the entire world about how the device didn't meet with your expectations, but this is a discussion forum. We discuss things. If you want to rant, there's always Reddit and its r/Pixel subnet.
What about Black Berry OS, Windows ce mobile, and Apple IOS.? What can you do with them?
Samsung, etc needs Android to run.
With that said, Google devices are needed for Android development for all of androids future.
I love to join in a good rant usually.
Well not what you want to hear, but I'm OK with my Pixel 6.
I'm sure you will get a good price if you list yours and buy something else.
Then join the discussion group over there and rant on about how good or bad your new phone is.

Hey,
I brought google pixel on my birthday (29th of november) last year, it been nearly 6 months since i brought it and is working perfectly fine for me. If your facing such issues why dont you resell it at a good price and then purchase a newer one with better features.

Better Internet Tiles both here in XDA and in the Play Store will resolve the combined tile issue.
As for your missing small features, what are they?
I bought it last September and it's still sleeping in my drawer. Sometimes calls drop out and the battery drains quickly, so I'm not using it yet. From what I've read here, US consumers are really generous with businesses.
i'm actually pretty much enjoy the phone... coming from a galaxy which gave me many troubles this phone is a breeze
I also don't tend to rant unless something really REALLY upsets me... Some of you may have seen my post as an example on the pixel flasher thread.... HOWEVER...
For all the issues regarding signal drop/wifi dissapearing and the countless other issuea people have been reporting, i can 110% say that i have experienced NONE of them whatsoever.
What i can say is that for some wierd reason over the past week or so, my battery has been draining like nobodys business with absolutely no change to apps on my phone.
I could not work out what the hell was going on. After searching for many battery saving tips, the 3 things i have done are...
uninstalled all google play services updates and cleared data/cache;
uninstalled all carrier services updates and removed from beta program;
And what i believe has been the biggest battery drain recently is..
Gone into developer settings and turned OFF the "keep mobile data always active when on wifi" option
I noticed that overnight there has recently been massive increase in mobile network drain and couldnt understand why, but since doing all of the above, the last 48hrs have seen a massive improvement.
Other than that, i cannot fault the pixel 6 at all

it doesn't though does it?
Better Internet Tiles with a non rooted device will only work once. When i turn the wifi off it breaks the wireless debugging with shizuku and the tile doesnt work anymore.

That is something to bring up to the developer if his app is causing Shizuku to stop working. Otherwise PEBKAC.
