Xiaomi Mi3/Mi4 Rocks
Clear doubt regarding BATTERY LIFE on master smart-phone
Hello Everyone,
I am hereby creating a space to discuss specially about the battery life you get on our mi3/mi4 devices.
* We all agree with the fact that while trying new custom roms developed by some interesting people we always want a balance between performance and battery life. If battery life is short then what is use of high performance profile.
* We always doubt about battery life and give -ve feedback about roms. But this should be not the case.
So guys, to help each other and to save our time and to stop judging roms regarding the battery life given by it please give your battery stats mentioning the rom, kernel you are using and the settings you have applied.
Note :- This is not rom comparison thread. Infact here the doubts will get clear for the right seekers.

Hi,
I bought a new Atrix from Personal Argentina. Ever since I bought it and change it to CM the battery drains as 3% or more per hour when the phone is idle (no data or wifi on, neither screen). I changed to Neutrino 2.2 EE rom as it is supposed to be optimized for battery life and the issue still persists.
I tried to check if some up was running in background using high CPU with WatchDog but I didn't find anything.
I also tried the process these guy describes on the first thread but my Atrix already measures around 4200 mAh http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198333
Not sure what to do next.. Maybe change the radio, but I am not sure which one should I use for Personal Argentina.
Please Advice
Just changing ROMs is not enough, you'll have to experiment with different Kernel, ROM and Basebands (radios) until you find the best combo.
For me Wetdream 1.4.3 ROM, FAUX 1Ghz Kernel and 77.36P radio seem to do the trick. (see screenie)

Running stock Gingerbread ROM (PH85IMG_Ruby_TMOUS_1.36.531.6_Radio_1.07.550L.04DC_30.64.550L.07_release_219373_signed.zip)
Phone is completely back to stock (S-ON, ***LOCKED*** bootloader, etc.)
Up since charged two days ago. Stock OEM battery, too. What do you guys think?
Where's the screen on time and what were you're usage habits? You gotta be a lot more specific than that.

Your screen was practically never on.

It doesen't matter what rom you use, aside from a slight battery savings that can be tweaked, your screen is the biggest battery hog by far. The best thing you can do is dim your screen, with it very dim I've had almost 5 hrs of on time for the screen, average around 2.5-3.
I can also reach 24hrs+ if I keep my screen on for 1 second! /s
The Moderating team is not really a fan of best rom threads because what may be a great rom for one person may not be the same for another because needs and usage will very. So I'm going to close this.

GB kernel I recommend you this, for battery tweaks you can add these lines to your build.prop:
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=180
pm.sleep_mode=1
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0
+1. Xkernel is still the best. So sad development has stopped. AIFK, kernel 3.x will never work on stock GB so I think I'll stick with this one

Use this
But at your own risk. It will probably harm your device.
There is no such thing as which is the best Kernel, Rom or what ever for battery life, every person uses their phone diffrently so diffrent kernels will suit diffrent people.

Also I have a screen shot of my phone.
I was wondering F someone could help me. Is there a good kernel I could install or something I can do please help.

Looks like your screen is eating a lot of battery.
Try reducing the brightness to minimum.
Also the OS on your phone takes some time to set itself up so wait a days or two and then check it again.
Also there have already been many threads adressing the same issue, starting a new thread without searching is not a healthy habit.

I can highly recommend greenify (when you have root access). It can solve a lot of battery drain problems, due to stopping unwanted backup processes from running.
I know that there maybe is a Topic about his anywhere here, but I didn't had the time to look for it.
A friend of mine has a problem with heavy battery drain on his SGS 3.
He sent me some screenshots and asked me if I could post it here.
He's on CM10.1.3
He used the Yank555 kernel, but he didn't felt any difference. So he switched back to CM-Kernel.
Furthermore he said to me that he is looking for an AOSP ROM which is stable with good battery life and he needs it only for Whatsapp and gaming. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated

Media server issue covered in many threads, use search instead of starting a new thread.
As i said in OP - I'm pretty busy atm and I want to help my friend. If u just wanna tell me to use search, u should not answer to this.
