Anyone else's update screen for checking system updates turn dark grey and blue instead of blue and white? Also have anyone here received the 10i update dated 9/19 on T-Mobiles website?
Use to be white/blue

Yeah, mine changed too, also on t-mobile
Did you get the 10i system update? I haven't read release notes.
Has anyone got this update?
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-30673
I had to use LG Bridge to get the update and my system update screen turned back to white. I guess the dark grey means you are in que for system update.

Hi,
I decided to move from Android (Nexus S) to Nokia with WP
Here, in Bulgaria, we have sim unlocked Lumia 800 for the price of 380 Euro.
But there is just black one.
So, my question is: are there any software or hardware differences between balck and cyan Lumia?
Apparently some people with cyan ones haven't received the 15000 firmware yet.
Apparently some people with cyan ones haven't received the 15000 firmware yet. ... how can the case colour affect FW distribution? There must be some other difference (other than colour) if there is a link between certain handsets & FW revision...???

I don't think that's dependent on colour. It's to do with your country/carrier.

Did he just say that? Haha! No difference whatsoever, it's just appearance difference really. Note that if you're going to go for the Cyan version, it does not have a Cyan theme colour (UI accents) that's why I chose black, if you want the other colours, just buy an official rubber case, that pretty much changes your whole phones colour.

This is not a true statement. The Cyan specifically has been behind on getting the update. Some users just started getting it last week. It has nothing to do with country carrier when it comes to unlocked/unbranded devices. Otherwise, importers like me would never get an update from AT&T who doesn't support the phone.
Have the cyan model bought in Sweden about 3-4 weeks ago and it had 11501 already installed.

I've had 3 Cyan 800. I've experienced the Cyan to be last in line for updates. The black in same CV had it long before.

The model, not the colour, everybody's been having different date updates, which Nokia mentioned, within two weeks. I had to manually do the OS update on my black Lumia 800. The firmware update came instantly.

And the "within 2 weeks from Jan. 18th" only applied to first wave Lumia's.
The Lumia's which hit other european markets after the first wave didn't get it till last week, and is probably still rolling out.
Model/CV version, what's the difference? As I said the Black in same model/CV (Country Variant version) got the update before the Cyan.

So isn't that Country/Market/Carrier related rather than colour? Does the colour have a specific ID? I suppose it's just a different colour/case right?
Ok, I see the situation.
Anyway, here in all shops are black. I was thinking for cayan but hope the black one will worth too.

Nokia claims it's based on IMEI. So, Cyan IMEI's are much later than black.

Hi kyrirhcp, could you tell me where you've unlocked the EE branded Lumia.
Thanks.

I Upgraded, I notice the light sensor is more noticeable that its working, sometimes keeps flicking between low and medium in situations that it would just stay low before, kind annoying.
Also really hate how it only turns on once battery % has reached a certain amount.
Although I am loving how it doesn't freeze almost every other day!
I am in US and am thinking of getting the Z5C on AT&T. Since AT&T does not really sell this device, does anyone know how software and firmware updates will work, since the carrier will not push through any updates for this particular device?
You'll get unbranded version and you will not need to wait for carrier to push updates.
You can flash any customization you wish using flashtool, and OTA updates come directly from Sony. I bought an import with Hong Kong firmware and flashed it to Nordic version. Has everything that a US version would have, except 4G icon instead of LTE.
I bought mine on Amazon from a prime seller. Was sourced from the HK SAR market since it has that particular firmware. Says 4G instead of LTE but that is fine and I get firmware updates direct from Sony. Great device.

Why did you flash a Nordic version? Is that your region and is there any advantage over the Taiwan version I have (I'm in the U.S. and it has U.S. English already). Thanks.

Just my preference, I like not having the NFC icon in status bar when it's on, and don't need all the additional languages/keyboards of HK version it shipped with.
Generally, European regions seem to get update sooner than others.

Thanks. I hate the NFC icon too. I didn't know it wasn't there in certain firmwares. Maybe when Marshmallow comes I'll flash a different region.

I read that Z5/Z5c is releasing in US on February 7th, so we'll get an official US firmware soon.

True but I think I'll stay away from U.S. firmware until I find out what, if any, extra bloatware it contains. Also, isn't the U.S. generally slow to get updates due to its size? Is there a ranking somewhere that shows which regions update first and what the firmware variations are?
some websites are also stating US version will not come with fingerprint sensor.. What's wrong with Sony!

Another reason to stay away from the U.S. firmware when it's released
As i remember LG said that there will be security updates for G5, V10 etc. My last security update is from June.
Anyone got some updates since Nougat release?
Nope, Nougat update then nothing!
After the Nougat update my 4G+ icon is gone, and the smart wifi/bluetooth settings are not working properly.
I think LG forgot about this phone, its a shame, because even my old Z2 got several updates last year even its much older.
I found this... LG Security Bulletins
LG Security Update Models:
- G series (G5, G6), V series(V10, V20, V30) , Q Series(Q6, Q8) , X Series(X300, X400, X500, X cam)
Depending on regions and carriers, updates may be released monthly, quarterly or irregularly. LG plans to expand the list.

So, we are at the VERY IRREGULAR release plan?
I could use 7.0 custom ROM with security updates... But theres not even one custom rom for this phone....
HEY LG, Im counting on you!

Hi there.
I can't see the red variant in Flipkart and all videos in YouTube are only either of blue of the black variant.
Has anyone been able to buy the 6-64 red one from mi.com/in?
Wasn't available in first sale. Only Blue and Black variants were there.
I've seen a video of a guy living in Hong Kong, he was able to buy a red one in a local store.
