Hello Sir,
I am from myanmar and i bought new redmi note 4.
It is need to root. Because i want to use myanmar font.
And also I can't find myanmar font at xiaomi theme store.
Please help to solve me...

It is very easy to root with TWRP and SuperSU Root. Can you unlock bootloader of your phone ?

I don't know how to unlock bootloader? Can anyone help?

For unlocking your bootloader go to http://en.miui.com/unlock/ and register for unlocking.
Follow the instructions there. It's easy.
I asked for my unlocking last Friday and unlocked my phone on Monday when I got permission.

Hi, like alinsue, I'd like to root my Redmi Note 4 too. I've unlocked the bootloader, but the problem is that I cannot find the version of TWRP designed for the Redmi Note 4. Do you know where to find it? Or do you know if I can use a version of TWRP designed for another Redmi phone for example?

I'm trying to unlock my bootloader. Unfortunately the whole website is in Chinese and it says I don't have permission to access that part of the forum. Any easy alternatives? I want to get working on a rom for this beast haha.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here but after installing new ROM (tried few so far: newest China, Global, EU and from MIUI kitchen) from TWRP and trying to install superSU RN4 is not passing first logo - I left it there before work and hours later still same.
I will like some one to explain if anyone have time: from what ROM did you start, steps to take to finally boot with ROM, TWRP and superSU.
I'm getting Invalid IMEI and it seems I have to have root to access Engeenering options and change it. Advices are welcome.

me too. had to hard reset. really appreciate to have very clear guide.

I managed to get root. Don't have time to do detailed tutorial but:
1. install ADB drivers and that also means you should have folder with adb and fastboot commands in it
2. copy TWRP from cofface (look for link with google) and copy in folder along with adb and fastboot
3. open folder where adb, fastboot and twrp, hold Shift and right click on empty space and click Open command window here
to check if any device is connected, connect phone and type fastboot devices, if doesnt return anything then you need proper phone drivers for wndows
4. put your phone to fastboot (turn off and hold Volume - and power until you see Fastboot logo) and connect to pc
fastboot flash recovery "name of the cofface recovery".img (in my case: fastboot flash recovery cofface_nikel_recovery.img)
enter recovery with {fastboot boot "name of the cofface recovery".img} or turn off phone, hold Volume + and Power until you see Mi logo and release Power and wait
5. Once in recovery: Wipe - > Format Data (bottom right button) and after that flash super-su zip file (I found BETA-SuperSU-v2.67-20160121175247.zip, working like charm) from Install menu
If you want to install new rom then order should be: install TWRP, then format data in wipe section (or advanced wipe, select everything except last two: microSD and USB storage), then install ROM zip from TWRP and in the end install supersu zip also from Install menu.
Reboot and wait. Could take 10 or more minutes.
