problem with mouse movement direction after you flip the screen orientation - Remix OS for PC

when you flip the screen the mouse will still act as if the screen was not flipped
so moving left and right is actually done by moving up and down
very confusing please fix this thanks

Yep, mouse movement processing "doesn't flip" with the screen Sure needs fixing

Do you have an issue tracker we could use to report/monitor this issue (and others)?

I think this can't be fixed easily unless some sort of emulation occurs. I mean, our mouses were not made for flippable screen. So we need to change mouse movements according to our orientation.

@modaifallah all that needs to be done is "flipping" the input from mouse to PC respectively to the screen flip. This should be easy to do. I'll see what Jide team thinks about this.
@gcscaglia New feedback system is coming very soon!

DPAD

I just got a FUZE, and I must say it's a BIG step DOWN from my Tilt (Kaiser) as far as dpad is concerned. It is pretty much useless in games. Now I've done some digging online and found out that the whole surface of the pad is touch-sensitive and it actually only has 4 physical buttons, and the rest are determined by the position of your finger on the pad when you push the button. Only up and down have dedicated physical keys. Now my question is can we have only a 4-directional Dpad somehow by disabling the touch-sensitive part of the Dpad? I wouldn't mind loosing the home, back and the call keys if I have a solid 4 directional pad that doesn't freeze and lock up and act weird. Any way to replace the Dpad driver in the ROM with something from the Tilt? Or a physical modification to cut the connection to the touch-sensitive part?

Brilliant! Thanks. DredSensor is exactly what I had in mind. However, I still have the issue of some weird buffer overflow or something - if I play more than 5-10 min. the dpad left and right (as well as all the other emulated keys - home, back, call...) lock up and only up an down on the dpad work. Has anyone tried porting or making a driver that disables the idiotic touch interface for good? That'd be one major fix for the Touch Pro.

Archos 101 with Auto Rotate problem.

It seems my new archos 101 auto rotates all over the place. any issues from anyone else. it seems to want to go to landscape with the Archos 101 upside down. It seems to go to the position I am not looking at......
It seems my only solution it to turn off auto rotate which keeps it in landscape mode.

Have you tried to do the Accelerometer calibration?
You should place your device horizontal on a flat surface and use the Repair & Formatting -> Accelerometer calibration.

go to settings
then repair & formatting,
then accelerometer calibration and follow the instructions.
feel free to give me some thanks!!!
EDIT: oops someone else posted while i was sorry!
Also after calibration, I suggest getting the app "rotation toggler", I feel its a must have.

i have done this a few times thanks I did try that it seems right after I do that it flips upside down in portrait position. I will try rotation toggler...
Almost sounds like a faulty device if you have tried to recalibrate multiple times and are still getting the same results. Hope you have not done anything to void your warranty.
It seems to be fixed
Just an update I havent messed around with the 101 due to work but found on another board on another site that when calibrating put the archos flat on a level surface instead of on its side and shazam. IT WORKED no more flipping upside down in landscape mode. It has made me like this thing alot more.....

And what was suggested to you in the second post of this thread?
Not only that, but the proper procedure is stated in the manual.
We don't need no stinkin' manuals!

Mouse working on GTab running VeganTab 5.1.1....but in wrong directions.

I connected my keyboard and mouse to my GTab running VeganTab 5.1.1 and they're working "almost" perfectly. When I use my mouse...the pointer moves in the wrong direction...for example: I move mouse down and the pointer moves to the left...I move mouse to the left and the pointer moves left.
This problem happens on portrait and landscape mode.
Anyone have this problem? Anyone have an idea how to fix this?
Thanks for the help in advance.
There is a fix applied in this ROM for the accelerometer. It flips the mouse directions. There is a patch on the page you downloaded the ROM from that will fix the mouse, but flip the accelerometer. So you get to pick which one you want working.
The VEGAn 5.1.1 post mentions that they fixed the g-sensor to the detriment of the mouse compatability. They give a link to a file which will fix mice but ruin the sensor, I guess.
Darn...on quickly reading the title of this post, I initially thought you got the table to actually "drive" the mouse
Now THAT would be a funny pet project - almost like a little tethered RC car!

Question about the HD Dock

Hey guys, Just had a question about the HD Dock. When I connect mine, it looks as though the area on the phone u can use as a mouse, and it also shows a little keyboard on the bottom right. But when i click that a keyboard doesnt pop up, also when i try to use the phone screen as a mouse nothing happens?? Is there somewhere to enable this? Or does this not work yet?
It should work fine. Try repeating the phone or rebooting.

Clicking on the keyboard does nothing unless you have the cursor in a area where you can type. But i'll be honest, its hard to use since the cable leading to the tv is short. And i have to be in a arkward position to use the onscreen mouse and keyboard

Is there any way you can set it to mirror the TV's display on the Photon's screen instead?
It would have been nice if the dock had the ability to set the phone flat because then the touchpad screen would be easier to use. It's multi-touch so if you're doing something like playing Angry Birds while sitting in your office it's pretty functional if you can get used to the angle.

BT mouse work bad in landscape mode

Hello,
i tried to play Quake with mouse. In portrait mode mouse work great, but in landscape bad. If i move mouse to left then in screen the mouse moves down.
How to solve it, maybe a little program to change the X-axis with Y-axis?
Edit:
Have you tried a different bt mouse ?? Checking the batteries?? Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver/software.

Should be in Q/A FYI.
To answer your question, haven't seen a program that would do that. What ROM/Kernel are you using?

Not sure. I will try this out when I get home with my BT mouse, don't have one here at work. Will let you know what I find.
Howcome u using bt mouse on stock rom? It does not work for me

The axis change with the rotation of the screen, u need to lock the axis somehow, maybe in the config files to the input device, looks interesting tho, might give this a shot, plus it's cool to see peripheral working on a sense rom.
Axes do not change. They are still in portrait mode.
Mouse work in stock ROM in portrait great, but we don't see cursor.
Nobody have same issue?
On LeeDrOiD 3D same issue.
