My Firmware is E5803_Customized US_1298-3109_32.2.A.0.253_R4C
Which version of Xposed should I flash ?
I see threads from RomRacer and Rovo Both, Which one works on Z5C with above firmware ? (I see so many variations and threads)
And I also saw on search that older versions killed the Camera. Is it still the same?
Any help is much appreciated!

Hi, I'm fairly new to this rooting business -- but successfully did so with a Huawei G300 (CM10.1-R3) ; now wish to explore doing so with my Huawei U8652 -- but there're not the same "easy" guides as there are with the G300
BUT
have used ROM Manager to install CWM on the phone after having rooted it -- but the version ROM Manager installed was 4.0.1.5
--
the latest version mentioned in discussions I've seen of upgrading the ROM on this phone is 5.2.7
for the G300 I downloaded 6.0.2 -- which isn't without its problems it seems (seems to interfere with Google Now, though I'm too much of a newbie to say why this could be -- I'm not the only one with the problem however, going by the posts on the CM site
the procedure for rooting and installing a new ROM on the G300 installed 6.0.1 initially, which I upgraded to 6.0.2 by flashing zip file - that earlier version isn't without its probs either -- OTA upgrades don't work properly, but Google Now seems NOT to be interfered with at least
could I
go through the procedure for the G300, from the stage where it installs the bootloader and CWM?
install the newer version despite its problems with Google Now?
are these versions "compatible" with the Huawei 8652?
install some other version -- I've found links to 5.2 but none of the links seem to work
There is no such universal CWM.
Cheers.

thanks -- what I was afraid of, but ...

thanks for the prompt reply -- that's what I was afraid, and it sure pays to be careful
speaking of which, sometimes you have to take a punt
don't know what it's reputation is like, but I've found what appears to be a listing of relevant files' links to storage sites FileCrop -- though it's hard to know exact details of what they are just from an abbreviated name, and the names don't really link on Google to any discussion of them
Sheesh!!
thanks again
Hi.
Basically I'm looking for something equivalent to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/general/recovery-solution-lollypop-roms-t3000822 , but for Z2.
Help please!
I do believe they may have already patched it
If not M5 kernel has a patch for it so newer twrp versions work
First, please forgive me if this is the wrong place, but this is the General Forum, and the forum software has changed a lot since when I was really active here as an active phone modder and active poster!
So like I said I've been away from the forums for a long time... trying to rereading a lot and trying to get back into MY PHONE.
I hate my modem sometimes because T-Mobile just sucks in some areas and is great in others [Greater Houston Texas Area, but mostly south side and towards the Galveston Bay].
I would like to know if the newer modems are interchangeable with the below config on my G900T?
And if there is any advantage to upgrading my modem? Wondering what modem I might be able to upgrade to with that below config and if there would be any advancements/pluses/gotmeinabadways/or other things I should be aware of if I did?
Also I'm wanting to upgrade to Marshmellow maybe, should I or should I just forget it? I will be reading more about the ROMs available. I've read a lot of posts about how buggy 5.1.x is. So I don't want to even go there...
Basic Phone info, Stock T-Mobile ROM [Damn bloatware] rooted awhile back with I think towelroot. I would really like to change to a slicker ROM that is debloated and maybe deoxed maybe. Will have to read hella lot more about that for sure..
Model SM-G900T Rooted
edit: Nova launcher
Android 5 not 5.1.x
BaseBand G900TUVU1D0B1
Kernel 3.4.0
TWRP 2.8.6.0 recovery installed
Broken Xposed :crying::crying::crying:
Can anyone recommend an app that will give modem info without having to decipher the baseband? or is there a very good break down of what each part of baseband means? I know go search!!! and I'm trying to reacquaint myself with the forums but the newer software is far different than I remember EKK! And search always hated me!! And even the different forum headers have changed due to time marching on and me being well Techtarded the last year or more due to things better left unsaid...
Have Xposed installed as noted above, but its been f00ked for a long time due to the ARM processor if I remember correctly and the Framework installer not being compatible..... Wish I could used the Xposed but........ I originally got into Xposed due to the Hex icons I actually paid for Xposed because I liked and used some of the modules made by smart people. Again but!!!

The most recent firmware and modem for the TMo S5 is version OL1,that came out in late December.
muniz_ri has been nice enough to put together a ROM that is the Stock ROM, already rooted, and ready to go:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...t/how-to-update-to-g900tof6-5-1-1-pc-t3141404
There are links there to the ROM, including the modem, or just the modem files themselves.
Rob
@daspazz the following website has decent basic info that seems to address the questions you ask: http://androidmodguide.blogspot.de/p/other.html
TLDR: yes modems are interchangeable
As for Marshmallow, I'm pretty sure for now, since there has been no official 6.0 update yet, you'll have to go with Cyanogenmod 13 (or one of the variants like Bliss 6.0 or Resurrection-Remix), they're in the unified development section (our phone's development codename is KLTE).
As for deciphering the baseband, look at the last three characters, let's assign them generic letters XYZ. X is the year (M being 2013, N being 2014, O being 2015, P being 2016, etc.), Y is the month (substitute the actual letter for its position in the alphabet), and Z is the revision number. So taking the most recent firmware (G900TUVS1FOL1) as an example: OL1: O means 2015, L means December, and 1 means 1st revision. Another example, build number G900TUVU1ANE6: NE6: N means 2014, E means May, and 6 means 6th revision.
It seems to me there's been some consensus that the most recent modem (which rlichtefeld linked to in the post above mine) is the best
Much Thanks!!!!
@rlichtefeld and @thisisapoorusernamechoice
I really appreciate the information gentlemen!!!! I've been reading through the info you both provided.
I did flashed my modem (only) to the newest one, G900T_OG6_Stock_Modem.tar. Ended up having to flash back to the modem for 5.0, G900TUVU1DOB1-MODEM.tar, because I literally could not hear anyone when I made or received calls.....
Also had to used Odin v3.09, because v3.10.6 wouldn't recognize my phone. Strange that!!
This ADB installer was very helpful!! It fixed problems I was having on the PC I was using to flash my phone. Much thanks to @Snoop05 for the ADB installer for the PC. It keeps you from having to install the full SDK for Android.
Thread moved to proper forum.
I have been looking for the instructions for upgrading my Tab 4 to either Marshmallow or Nougat. I have found so much information it is mind boggling. My problem is , all the links to the files are gone or there are no instructions.
My Samsung Tab 4 (SM-T530NU) is rooted on Android 5.0.2 with TWRP 3.0 for a recovery. Does anyone know where I can find the proper instructions and files to this update? I dont know which would run better on my Tab, Marshmallow or Nougat ?
But I am open to advise and suggestions.
Thank you for your time,
Scotty
I did find a Unofficial Marshmallow 6.0 ROM but every time I try to fash it with TWRP, I get ERROR:7. Anyone ever run across that problem or have a fix for that ?
I too am looking to upgrade my SM-T530NU to Marshmellow...did you get any success?
No, I never got any happiness either. I an in the same boat as you are.
Did you try the rom in this post?

No, I did not, sounded like to many problems not worked out at that time. Hope that helps
I recently started tinkering around with Bluestacks again. It's been a few years. I do remember it being fairly easy to root, and install Xposed. Now all I am finding are a bunch of frustrated posts regarding the lack of support for Xposed on Bluestacks platform. What was it?? Did someone finally contact someone about something, lol??
Even the famous BSTweaker stopped providing not only support on their latest tweakers, but have also removed all traces of tweakers that were compatible to patch Xposed. Seriously, what happened?? Mysteriously the BSTweaker version 5.7.1 is gone everywhere on the net. Seems as though you will no longer find any version of BSTweaker that once supported Xposed patching ANYWHERE.
And any attempt through their respectable XDA channels to get an answer or solution will be either met with "it's already been answered" with no link to where it was answered, or you will just be completely ignored. And sooooo many people too.
BSTweaker 5.x does not work on BlueStacks 4.40 and above. Same with BSTweaker 6.x.

This is already known by the insane amount of people already trying to accomplish the same thing I am. Finding versions of Bluestacks and BSTweaker that work together IS NOT the problem here.
Just finding somone who actually has the last supported Bluestacks and BSTweaker for Xposed would prove impossible. You will not find a single verson anywhere on BSTweaker's site that supports the install/patch of Xposed, to include their old versions they provide through GoogleDocs. And I reference BSTweaker version 5.7.1 because it's the last known version of BSTweaker that supported the install/patching of Xposed.
Why not use MEmu instead of BS? It's also Android 7 based, comes pre-rooted and you easily can install Xposed. on it.

Been years since I've used it. Thinking pre-Note, lol. I'll try that. I just really love Bluestacks configuration. TY
