:victory:
Dear vioner what kind of improvements u need?, i have explained 2 errors at boot
(1)
Intel_powerclamp does not run on family 6 model 23
(2)
Intel_rapl: driver does not support CPU family 6 model 23
hope u read it out. it seems the kernel issue.
im on remix os 3. 205 latest one updated today.

I'm not a 100% sure, but it looks like your CPU is currently not supported well enough. Be sure to report it using https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1cZNesOmnmO2esilFpvMzFZ874rvwsiKgWIX2fo9QsDk/viewform
I've also read people saying that this error doesn't prevent them from successfully booting Remix OS - see this thread
About improvements to your writing - sentences begin with capital letter and end with a dot "." First things taught in school, very useful in improving reading experience Also there is no such thing as "?,"
Believe me, im not being picky, this is basic and obligatory, the minimum package.

1. This isn't a text message.
2. This is an English forum; but alot of users aren't native English speakers - at least not as a first language - so please refrain from text slang and press the enter but once in a while.
In regards to powerclamp - that does seem to be a compatibility issue, which doesn't have a workaround that I'm aware of.
You could try the 32bit version, which may work.

@karamatks you could just post a picture. It'd be better to see a video. Does it hand on these lines or are there more shown? How long have you waited if it hanged?
Back to school - internet forums like this one are not a place for you to be lazy. Specially not when you ask people for help. Being sloppy while asking for help can be considered as disrespectful. Come on it's most basic actions and knowledge that everyone using internet knows, not hard at all. Ok I'm done with this offtopic.

i've seen your post everwhere in the forum, or could you just take a photo of your hardware keyboard and let us see if there's any different with ours? because DougalScott have replied to your post in EnergyRom thread, and what i see is the same with him, our Touch Pro keyboard the FN+0 is ), so maybe you can let us take a look at your hardware keyboard???
check out energyrom thread, the answer is there
i experienced the same problem, just read through the thread and found it
basically the settings of energyrom is for fuze, u just have to select the at&t keyboard... and thats it
use the search button for the step by step guide
Jump into the registry and change
HKLM->HARDWARE->DEVICEMAP->KEYBD then the value CWSLayout from 1 to 0. Quit the registry editor and power off and on the phone and it'll all be good...
Now if anyone knows how to get the £ and euro signs working as I'm a Birtish user...
Hope that helps dude...

HAve you tried setting your locale to en-GB in settings? They work fine on mine
ok, I feel like a total n00b again :-( lol (not that there's anything wrong with being a n00b, we all were once!) - but can't find this setting anywhere... been through all the options in settings :S - got my keyboard set to English (United Kingdom) - even changed to to United States and back to UK again & rebooted.. but still not love for me is this the place you're referring too???
Cheers for the assist, would love the keys back
try this i have the same problem and now it's ok
dude! what do you think "keyboard selector" in "Start - Utilities - Tweaks" is for?
Your Keyboard is most likely set to Fuze-Layout, it's way different from the original ToucPro Keyboard.
else your hardware-keyboard has to be differnt

Not sure if your message was for me or not - I'm not using the same ROM as the original poster.. I'm on Da_G's fine light ROM - nice and fast and plenty of room for customisation - actually just finished flashing to the new ROM specifically for the o2 serra and the keys are working ok - so gonna do some digging in the registry and see if I can spot the changes - might stay with this rom as it's light and fast too, but knowing what I'm like I'll be flashing it again within 24hrs
Thanks for the replies tho...

Hey dude, I see where you're coming from and not wanting to start an argument / get flamed / banned / eaten or most importantly upset anyone... but easy there tiger! Looking at the initial poster - diogoamato - he registered on May 08 and has made 4 posting since, so either he's done nothing really with his phone or has been doing what a large number of us do - sit and read the posts and learn stuff.
As for me, well I been a professional support guy for MS products since '96 and started using WM5 back on my Axim X51v when it came out, back then I registered on a few forums with XDA-dev being one of them, but then there was only really one place to be as an Ax. owner - aximsite - where I like to think I was contributing to the scene, however my xda-dev account went largely unused. It wasn't until last Nov / Dec I moved over to my Raph. and initially thought I knew a heck of a lot about WM and its workings, esp flashing, but soon realised I got a lot to learn and have spent my time reading & reading again and getting frustrated with the search.. but that's another topic! lol - now I've come a long way since Nov and am starting to try to help others where possible (work, time, etc.) - yea sometimes I think "man, use the search" or "why you flashing and messing with things you dont understand" but mainly I think why not try to help???
Personally I'm trying to get to grips with the kitchens and learn how to build my own custom roms and like all my skills I'm doing it my way; by reading and learning, & trial & error, only one or twice have I asked a querstion from a chef or reported a bug, but only after giving it some serious work myself... I cant remember how many times I've hard-reset my Raph. cos I stuffed it whilst trying to resolve a bug / issue...
I suppose I'm trying to say there are those of us here who use this massive knowledge base that makes this site number 1 and give back what we can. Yea I'd 100% agree if this original poster had a reg. date of Jun '09 : posts 1, but he (and lots of others) have been around for sometime, just we all cant' reply as much as we wished we could...
Well, that's my £0.02 worth...
Peace & love

Well,
Although I don't usually do so but I will answer you because I believe your comment is actually a comment instead of the usual asinine bunch of non argumentative attacks we see over here more often than desirable...
I will try to outline my ideas...
Then yo can comment it, if you like, in a PM. Let's not flood the thread with offtopic information.
01. We were all noobs once...
02. There are MANY forms of noobness...
03. I ALWAYS [without exception] try to help. This is a community, if I am not willing to contribute there is no point on being here. [as a mater of fact I contribute a lot more than I get... And that's the way it's supposed to be]
04. I can accept ignorance, lack of knowledge or even «mind simplicity»
05. I do not - and I repeat: do not - accept stupidity, laziness, indolence, lack of initiative, lack of commitment, etc... Especialy in a community. If everyone behaves like that we get simply nowhere.
06. If you don't search, you should learn to do it
07. If you believe the WIKI is actually hazardous to your health, it's a shame and you should get some counseling
08. If you don't even bother to read the thread you are posting on, that's just proposterous.
09. I usually answer questions that have already been answered 1.000.000.000 times when they have a reason to be posted.
10. I will not tolerate or have a good reaction towards asinine behaviours
11. Although I do see your point, if you spend some time around here you'll get the feel of the place... Then you will see [or maybe even feel] what I mean... Especially if you are a Chef Wannabe... You will ge to really understand the meaning of ingratitude and true offense. [The majority of members is NOT like that but some should just cease existing...]
12. Whenever one endeavours in or witnesses a non meritable coarse of action, one should allways fight it or withdraw.
P.S. I've been around, you know... After some time you just loose your patience... Users who are actually takers should't be allowed ti be here... That deeply compromises the integrity of the thin fabric of developers society... If you understand my predicament...
Cheers and good luck in you new quest The ROM cooking one

All those points are spot on - can't argue with any of those.
Several months back, there were a few posts regarding the influx of new members to XDA. Through these conversations, it was discovered that many Carriers are sending their customers here for solutions instead of adequately investing the required dollars into their internal support network.
As a result, newcomers often come here with what they perceive as a new issue and no idea on how to begin looking for a solution ... with the hope that finally, someone will help solve their problem.
XDA has changed; it continues to be about development but that has become an elite sub-culture. Very few will make it there, some will get close, most never will. And those that never will, are usually visiting XDA for information on solving an immediate problem, nothing more - this I feel is the new culture that is emerging on XDA.
I try my best to help those who want to try to get closer to what XDA is about. Like you, I do see posts that frustrate me and for the most part, I simply choose not to answer those.
So yes, we are all guilty of losing patience at one time or another ... I included.
I don't know if that guy got his hardware keyboard issue resolved or not. But, for what it's worth, I have a Fuze that I upgraded to the newest NRG rom. I found out that my function keys and shift/cap key would not function after installed an aftermarket keyboard. It was the keyboard ripped from the Touch Diamond 2.
The keyboard worked fine on a stock fuze so it was a surprise to me.
Just my experience to share..
heyho,
Key: HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD\CurLang
Codes: English 1033
That took me...uhhm.. less than 1minute to search. wiki->raphael->keyboard layouts.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Raphael_Keyboard
Don't forget the cwslayout! for touch pro (0) und At&T (1), as MadMic stated.
Softrest is mandatory.
I hope that helped...
garans
P.S.look for UC and make a XML or CAB to do this for you after every flash)
Thanks dude, I'd flashed the Serra ROM (OK o2 brand name for Raph.) and it sorted the fn key issue out, so a little digging in the registry to compare between the two and I'd figured the curlang out, came back to drop a posting about it and you'd beaten me to it - time to spend some more time in the wiki - lol
Was thinkging about using the UC so I dont have to do this again when I flash to another ROM (wont be long as learning the kitchen stuff now... howe long before I got a brick?? lol lol)...
Peace & Love

[Q] Advanced Settings on the SetCPU App... what does this mean?

On the Advanced Tab in Settings in the SetCPU App it shows this stuff:
....................................
[✓] Set on Boot
^- (By default this is blank but can be checked).
_________________________________________________________
Sampling Rate (150000µs-150000000µs)
Up Threshold (1%-100%)
Ignore Nice Load (0/1)
Powersave Bias (0-1000)
.....................................
So what does all this part mean, what does this stuff do?? Should I change any of these numerical settings to get better results out of my A101IT or should I just leave this part all alone?
Sorry to say that, but if you know so little about the System, you should even not use SetCPU.
And also this only works if you have rooted you device, did you do that?
Yup, sure did and have it fully and permanently rooted.

I think that was a valid question and didn't deserve such a condescending answer.... Why not just answer or post a link rather than being rude........
That's what I was thinking...
Is it too much to ask Admin to ban the user (fzelle) from XDA permanently/for a short while??
I really don't give a $hit about it. I'm offended more-so with your literacy (grammar) in the English Language. Maybe that's because you're from East/West/Northern Europe but that still doesn't give you the right to talk down to me just because I ask a question that you may or may not know? And if you're from the U.S./Canada, that's even more sad. If you're French-Canadian or just straight from France I'm not surprised by the remark because I've been to France enough times to know how men can be over there.
Illiteracy/Grammar is a pet-peeve of mine....
Wolves4Ever, I think fzelle wasn't rude at all. If the person couldn't visit www.setcpu.com or just search this forum I think he'd better leave everything as is.
Well, "let's start a war (said Maggie one day)". Troll detected...
I believe that what fzelle meant is that changing CPU settings surely requires deeper knowledge of the OS and HW than a normal user has (me included)

I also think so!
Fzelle insulted me to begin with....
Had I known SetCPU was an actual website I would've gone there and found the answer to my question and wouldn't have bothered asking in the first place? I didn't think there was a site for it either? So sue me for being a newbie, I'm just trying to learn and know as much as some people on here.
1) Your question may not have been answered yet but you've been directed to the homepage of the product where such information can be found.
2) I was also kind of surprised by your remark about the French (not French myself but generalization of cultures is not accepted anywhere, not now, not in the future). Please try to understand this.
3) SetCPU is considered a product to allow advanced modification of your system (and possibly even voiding the warranty). This is why people tend to explain that if you do not know how to find out the exact process of such application/modification you should stay clear from it. It doesn't hurt to learn however and this is why you should investigate it yourself by going through the homepage stuff
None of the above is intended to offend anyone, if it has, please understand that I have a language barrier to cross as you should with many statements on a multi-cultural forum.

(just kidding!)

LG G2 section is Unusable!!!

Please admins do some cleaning here. A lot of tutorials is very bad ripoff of another tutorials.
I my case I can not find one logically structured tread with general info about G2 flashing, SW versions and so on.
A lot of people try to make a money, by giving wrong information an later ask money for help to unbrick others phones. This is just terrible!!!
I AM ANGRY DUE TO BAD TUTORIAL I BRICKED MY PHONE REAL BAD.
Please ,clean or make new rules for comment rights, to help other not brick their phones!!!!
Hi
I think problem is not tutorials, but people who used first random tut.
Im sorry you bricked your device, but root G2 is really easy and install twrp.
For root u can use DP Tools from android g2 section, and twrp u can get with autorec from playstore.
That's all, if u wanna use customized roms, u will need install Jelly Bean bootloader, it support kitkat/lollipop/aosp roms. LG G2 is unbrickable by software, every state can be repaired. So, search tutorial for you to unbrick device and use my steps to have full unlocked device and feel free to mods and roms
I just unbricked my G2 after 6 weeks so ask if you need anything to help you.

Nope. G2 community is so bad. No one give solutions, only ask for money , even steel credit card date. I love the phone, but the community is just terrible.
It is quite often that I found solution tread, first tree pages of comments are "nice work" , "good job" and so on , after fifth page real users actually give negative feedback. Now I am reading tread with 77 pages. I am in the middle and I still do not understand is it safe to use tutorial. And there are a lot of treads like this. XDA should give some rating possibility, to delete treads with wrong or not working properly solutions.
I am very disappointed in XDA.

So what doesn't work? Most of the things just do work normally but you need ofcourse to have the right bootloader version/modem just like on other devices. English isn't the main language for everybody so their English isn't perfect and so is mine but your's isn't 100% correct either. But they do contribute to the community and that breaks the barrier of languages.

MixXx2005 I don't know which threads you are in but I never had anybody ask me for money or steal credit card date? There might be people asking for money or idk exactly what all but that might be going on in the background especially. As some people brick their phone others want to unbrick it and ask money for shipping/not trying to destroy it. If you want to do it free then you have to do it yourself probably. The G2 community does give solutions but there were already so many Q&A threads or people who all ask the same question/don't read properly the threads that some people just don't react anymore.
I had read many unbricking/root tutorials when I just came to this community several months ago already and everything worked fine. Also the hardbrick fix method worked fine for me.
Btw if somebody steals your credit card date then why did you gave them it all? If you have those kinds of problems or want to report something about outdated content then just react on the thread, Contact the OP, and or in cases of scams and those stuff contact a moderator. Moderator and members don't always have time to check or everything is alright so people need to report the problems.
So about "I AM ANGRY DUE TO BAD TUTORIAL I BRICKED MY PHONE REAL BAD. "
You really have to read carefully for which G2 variant is was meant, it doesn't matter if you are experienced or not experienced people also make mistakes just like that I hardbricked my G2 after I left myself on an unrooted rom with no download mode and recovery.
If you can say the problem you have like what kind of bricks, more details then I could might help you for free. The thing it might only costs is time but that's worth it if you fix your brick into an working G2.
I will try to reply asap but school and some other stuff in life might make me forget this so if you have a question please quote or mention my name as I would only then receive a notification about it.
EDIT: I read your thread now about your qh_usb brick and I read the tutorial. The tutorial isn't misleading or whatsoever there could have been an issue due to drivers/binaries and or communication between your device and fastboot itself. The tutorial was also meant for if you had the same message on your screen.
Btw in which mode are you? QHUSB_BULK 9006 or 9008? About the exclamation marks do you have the proper drivers for it? You might need to install the drivers manually with device manager. If you can mention which mode then I could perhaps help. Maybe not immediately but I could probably help you to unbrick your phone .

Thanks for your replay.
After all day of reading tons of useless information finally unbrick my phone. Now it is fully functional again.
I will explain why I am mad.
1st after official update my phone start to act weird (now i know what caused it, and it do not matter), then after I try to flash stock FW I stuck at LG logo. I found two different tutorials and both of them showed contradictory steps, I decided to follow one of them and like I said get error and booting till LG logo.
Next due to bad tutorial I erase all partitions with fastboot. But in the tut. was not said anything about proper way to do it. So after that tut. I get real brick. Still everyone can brick their phone following it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/mega-tut-how-to-fix-bricked-lg-g2-t3055033 (3. step - how can I know that I should modify provided code with my .img file path? Where is something said about it?)
Then I read FAMOUS "LG G2 is UNBRICKABLE NOW! [FIX REAL HARD BRICK]" . After that I tried to short out test pins. Again I found contradictory informations about test point locations.
To get any life in my dead phone ,I try them both, and luckily I did not damaged eMMC.
There are a lot of wrong information how you should act in different situations in these topics, and these things can permanently destroy your hardware and there are no highlights or any warning about it.
So after qh_usb brick win 7 was unable to detect drivers, but somehow randomly after several hours of search, I found correct Qualqomm drivers, after that the device manager showed connection with 9008 mode brick. Then after I read whole
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/fix-unbrick-lg-g2-stuck-qualcomm-hs-usb-t2933830/page42
5th page before end ,give me right tool to fix my phone. tons of contradictory info there - truly TONS.
I can give you treads , where people do not give right topics, but instead give their FB and later ask for money.
Also I can give you proofs about those who said that they will help you for free in TeamViewer and quietly install keyloggers.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/fix-unbrick-lg-g2-stuck-qualcomm-hs-usb-t2933830/ (read this tread , somewhere in middle of it, there are a lot of proofs)
It took me around 15 h with intense bulls*it filtering to get my phone in order.
And the most annoying thing , is that this all, what I describe previously , could be done in 15 min, if there would be ONE normal tread.
If all other/bad/misleading treads would be deleted, then my troubles would not been started in 1st place.
But like I said before this G2 community is terrible from beginners point of view.
Ok here is one thing
1. before doing anything search ( I agree that you will find a lot of outdated threads -- not useless but mostly outdated)
2. There is a help section with people who will understand where the error is and try to help you out
3. Most of the people here ask a question, solve the issue and just write: "fixed", without writing how and possibly contributing
Honestly, If I were a mod I would just delete their useless threads, always thinking of themselves
There isn't any magic tool that will fit everyones needs, people who are new just click random
I hope you fixed the device

Thanks, everything is good now. But I disagree - there are a lot of wrong and often contradicting treads and a lot of people that make their salary due to this.
I think admins should ban a lot of users here and also implement some kind of tread and user ranking. Because there are also people that do not know anything( I my point of view, they are just helpful fools ,that do not understand what they can cause with their misleading information) ,but they tried to help by just posting random s*it they were hear somewhere else. And I as desperate beginner can make much worse brick by following the advice.

I don't believe this happened. There would be more people involved in such opinions then.
Tbh the thread name of yours is kind of embarasing for people who create free stuff for everyone.
If you have any issues with any user on xda there are mods and admins and you can report them.

Nope. G2 community is so bad. No one give solutions, only ask for money , even steel credit card date. I love the phone, but the community is just terrible.

Odd.
Because I always found a solution for every problem I had, got an answer for every question. Even the most ridiculous ones.
So I disagree that the community is bad, quite the contrary. Every bit of info is here. You just have to read and understand what you've read.
And people here are nothing but helpful (most of them, at least).
P.S. as long as your G2 boots up, it is not bricked and it can be salvaged.

Navigating Long Threads

This will be a launching pad for tips and recommendations for members negotiating long threads and reading pertinent information. I read many posts with members stating that the thread is just too long to read. Then using that as an excuse for not reading at all. Please add your ideas and methods for reading.
The first thing I do when looking at a new thread is read the OP. I always check dates and also the date of the latest iteration of the ROM, kernel, etc. after reading what the author wrote about their thread I'll jump to the end of the thread and read backwards to the date of the latest release. This gets me up to date with the latest build and any issues.
Then I'll decide if I want to flash this on my very expensive device.

Thanks!

Hi...
The way you use to read a thread pretty much summarize the way I do it myself. I go a step further by searching within the said thread with some key words such as:
Problem, issue, brick, bricked, bootloop, etc...
I may sound paranoid, but I often browse the forum late at night and I could miss an important post due to being tired.
Cheers...
Great idea Ray. Teach by teaching, not by beating a person over the head lol
I go to the OP also and if I am interested in flashing, go back a month or two and read posts to see if things are stable or not. I also follow a bunch of Roms that I don't intent to flash or, have flashed before - just to see what kind of problems have arisen and how they were dealt with. It's a great way to pass a ride on the train or other idle time. I do think that there are many from around the world here and language might be a factor effecting their ability to read and/or search. Either way, I love this XDA, a valued tool! Too bad I came along so late in the game.

You're right!
Performing a search can be an art form. Using the just right keyword to be successful takes some practice. It is so important to try many paths and exhaust all possibilities before posting your question in the threads. And then phrasing your question with all your information is important as well.

Well, since my first modded android phone in 2008, i have never felt the need of asking anything. Most likely because all issues I encountered were already covered. Either by developers or people answering issues reported by previous users having the same problems. And maybe because I like to get things done by myself. (Which I achieve 1% of the time ).
I check XDA almost every day since. I must say that the "reading thing" may sound challenging for some people. You'll ask me why?
What follows is about novice users for the most part who don't know about/how to use the search function. Try reading a thread where 100 users come each and every day writing the same thing about the same problem over and over. And over again...
Trying to find the relevant posts in-between all this mess is sometimes quite discouraging.
I'm lucky to have affinity with English and of course it's a lot easier to read and find infos when I need them. Google translate became really nice with time. Yet i find myself using it, since English is not my native language and I learned it the hard way. Sometimes it's sad to see people not using such a powerful tool.
People, please use the search function! Take some time to read. If you don't get it, use an online translator. :good:
PS: Hopefully I didn't derail too much from the OP with this post... I'll delete it if needed.

From the beginning, searching for the answer - did someone else have the same situation and fix it(?) - THIS always seemed easier and more gratifying than waiting for someone to answer me on a thread
Actually, I was flashing macks ROM, then CM on my note 2 and I didn't even KNOW XDA existed. I was so grateful when I found it. Especially when I got this phone. With Google ai, now it seems so much easier to do a quick search on the web

Yeah I know how you feel! At least for me having no real technical knowledge, I'm always glad to find the solutions by myself. Since it's around and just needs a search it's even faster than waiting for an answer. Also, since I only need to search when my phone is broken, I simply can't wait for someone to answer. Imagine no one replied during two days...

Just flash the ROM zip and you're good to go.
Just delete this Thread. I've no source code. Actually I cannot find it too, actual kernel source. Only Companies own it and it's called GPL-GNU and Open source.
Look at the logo of GNU carefully, you find it miserable, there is no sign of humanity and who are behind that are miserable persons suffering from Miserables. Oh god! Have mercy on them, make them conscious, so that they can understand their situation and got some improvements.
In this world the fun is that, it's declared that we have basic human rights but in actuality we don't, we're just the slave.
Tantra says it 'how to use it and you get it'. You just need to know the ways, rules of nature and you get the benefits.
Why I said nature, human is not the part of nature, hell yeah! He should be supernatural but he has been degraded to unnatural. Even in the association of human some animals become unnatural or the victim of human, is the sign.
Great rom! Using it for some days, all seems great but Adaptive brightness (keep it off) and Play protect certification cant get rid of "device is not certified". Google really screwed us...
Really and even this forum is supporting them and making them strong, if they will be in existence then this forum has value, otherwise it's going to loose it's value and the proof is the moderator has changed the forum rules. They have control over it, it's not a community, it's something else.
I'm not ganna post anything here anymore, if they want to delete my account they can do so. Because I knew the truth and only truth has value for me, what I knew.
In fact I have Android 1.0 to 5.0 in a DVD and in laptop latest stable. I was using them on PC, at that time no one was asking Android, only java and symbian cellphones were in tread, this forum didn't exist. Then google took Android in hand and brought it to the next level and made it available to everyone. These professionals are expert in it, so we need to follow them. If google has made some rules and if we need their service.
And about developers, actually I don't know, so I don't wanna talk about them, but we need the professional one. As I can see developers are at their place bragging about their erudition and professionals are benefitting us because they are getting paid, so they're honest.
Fix brightness please! . This Rom so good. I like it. But about brightness
