What if we have root and want the black navbar? I'd rather not have something constantly running just to change the color.

Finally, I finished this project!
Today I'm present to you the ultimate custom change of my phone.
Updated wallpaper to fix some icon not in the right place.
For this theme you will need:
1. Apex Launcher
2. Widgetlocker $2.99
3. Minimalistic Text
4. My Stuffs
5. Time!!
Big Thanak to Colorfulvisuals for his theme! I had edited to make it fit to our arc and customized it my own way.
Let's do it!
Start by copy everything to sd card.
1. Go to Apex setting, backup & restore, restore apex setting, restart apex.
2. set wallpaper.
3. Long press desktop, add widget, Minimalistic text 5*1, restore Top Clock, ok, Resize and scale it to filt the top.
4. Long press desktop, add widget, Minimalistic text 3*1, restore Battery, drag it to top left under the text clock.
5. Long press desktop, add widget, Minimalistic text 2*1, restore littile clock, ok, Drage it to top right under text clock. (For digital clok if you want)
6. Drop app to your desktop to the right place (Remember that the sceen is 10*9), long press on the icon, edit, click on the icon, select picture, choose blank icon in you sd card, ok. (Test it by click on the place that you put the icon on)
7. Do step 6 for all your icon
8. Open widgetlocker, restore, lockscreen, remove the clock widget and place the new one, minimalistic text 2*1, locksceen clock, ok.
Tips:
I recommend to use Andy logo to launch app drawer and the four dots at the button, (use blue for phone, green for messaging, yellow for note, brown for anything you like)
Create folder in games, media, social, root so you can add alot of icon in it.
You should put two icons next to each other for camera, play store and google, so you can easily press it because the icon is very small and it's transparent you can't see it.
Q&A

Hello guys,
Looking at the number of people asking for a Metro UI look Guide i have decided to make this,This is my First ever guide,So if i go wrong somewhere go easy on me
Necessary Softwares Required
1) ADW Launcher
2)Desktop Visualizer
3)Multipicture Live Wallpaper
4)Minimalistic Text
Step 1: ADW Launher
* Install ADW launcher
* Go to ADW settings -> UI Presets -> main dock-> disable main dock
* Screen Preference-> Desktop Columns =9
Rows=5 ( you can give rows and columns number like you please, this just adjusts the widgets size )
*Under Advanced settings in screen preference - Enable Overlap Widgets
* You might Notice an Annoying blue line on top of the screen (to Remove it)
-long press on the screen and Select Launcher Actions
-Add Show/Hide Status Bar.then add it to screen click it.blue line disappears and Delete the show/hide status bar you have added.
*Disable Wallpaper Scrolling.
Okay now you are done ADW launcher for now! Good job! Now lets procees to the next step .
Step 2: Multilivewallpaper
*Long press on main screen -> wallpaper->live wallpaper -> you can select individual wallpapers for each screen(this is left to you)
* So after selecting wallpapers, you can change the transtition effect and stuff to your taste!
Step 3: Desktop VisualizeR
*Download the Icons pack i have attached and extract it in you tab.
*On Main Screen ->Long Press->Widgets->Desktop visualizer-> Choose 2x1 or 2x2 which ever you like (1x1 is also fine) .
*You will notice a widget will be added on your screen -> click it-> now it asks you to choose an icon -> select an icon from the icon pack you have extracted(consider you are making " books" widget.so select books image icon)
*Next it will ask for an Action to be executed -> select launch an app-> Ebook app(moon reader or whatever you use)
*Clear the Text Label Which will be below .
* Press ok and you are done
***REPEAT Step 3 every time you want to add an widget .
Step 4: Minimalistic Text(if you get confused ,i would recommend you to see some youtube videos on how to configue minimalistic text)
* long press on the screen ->minimalistic text widget->2*1 Size
*Untick show background
*Horizontal block ->left
*vertical Block->Center
*predefined layout->custom
now click custom layout which would be enabled down
*now you will see some boxes .long press them and drag and drop on the bin (its like removing an icon from the homescreen)
*After Removing everything ->select the green plus sign to add button->misc->static text(drag and drop on top i,e left to the green plus button)
*click on static text->give text "start"
Style->accented
*done press minus->press ok
*Now go to Accented it will be few rows below custom layout
*you can select the text style which u want.(i myself used size 50 ,thats all i did not make any more changes)
*Check "disable Action on tap" .Check this one
*press ok and your done
Step 4:
* you will be able to see the minimalistic widget you created ,drag and keep at one side.
*long press->launcher action->open app drawer
*now long press the open app drawer icon you created. Delete the text you see now click on the icon->select picture->select the transparent picture i provided.
*now place this "invisible icon on top left corner*
Now what our intention is we want to overlap the start text we created from minimalistic text and invisible icon ,so that when we click start ,app drawer should open. now bring in the start widget on same row ,notice u will not be able to place widget on top of each other so just place it by its side, then long press on start widget and edit then resize the widget so that it overlaps on the invisible app drawer widget.
Step 5: HD widgets
I used this app for the Clock and Weather widgets
End Product should look like the Screenshot i have Attached.
Thank you.
Hi dear friend...
Good guide you wrote, I didn't vote because I didn't read it all...
Can you please put the required APPs on this thread, so that it will be all together? If they're free, of course...
Thanks...

hey
I'm having a few small problem with a feature I've added to a CM10.1 ROM for my device, the HTC Desire Z. The feature allows you to pick the colour of the status bar clock, yet it doesn't work perfectly: 1) the colour doesn't change immediately, you have to change the position of the clock first (e.g. if it was to the right, you'd have to pick the "No clock" option then pick the "right clock" option again, or if it was "centre clock" you'd have to move it to the right or disable and select the option you had selected previously. 2) also, not only is the status bar clock colour changed, but the clock on the notification pane (the larger clock which shows when you open notifications) is also coloured, which I don't really want.
Here's my frameworks_base commit
...and my settings commit.
I'd appreciate any help, you may have realised by now that I have no clue how to code in java

Where is the guide you followed.. This is all set up by code in the smali..
For it to change "on the fly" the code in the smali or the mod your reading has to allow for it..
As far as both clocks changing color.. It could also depend on the code, but it maybe an id problem as well... If the mod allows you to change both separately then I would look over the ids you changed in the smali to match your public.xml..
It could be that you link the same id for status bar clock and expanded status bar clock to the same exact Id.. So if one is changed so is the other

Good Day
I have a set of Black icons that I would like to use to set on my Themer icons - but when I go to Edit an icon and try to pick one of the black icons - I can't see the icon because the background of the CHOOSE ICON window is black.
I haven't seen a place where I can change that background color - Is there a way to accomplish this?
Thanks

Hi!
Thanks for pointing this out! An idea would be to change your wallpaper to a much lighter image, then revert it back to the original (found in the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/Themer/prefs/ folder). I've let the developers know so hopefully something can be done soon.

Thanks for reply, i tried setting it to almost fully white...
it does help a little - but its still very difficult to make out.
Tinted Status Bar has been out for a long time now and despite its popularity its no longer being updated which means we have to take matters into our own hands and set the color codes manually to get the perfect color coding like in Android Lollipop.
Here I will list the color codes of apps in which tinted status bar didn't work
Add these color codes by going in per app tints and select the app and add them in All activities unless a specific activity is specified in brackets "(...)". Incase a specific activity is mentioned, only add in it.
Chrome
*ffe2e2e2
Android Device Manager
*ffd1d1d1
Google Docs (com.google.android.apps.docs.app.NewMainProxyActivity)
*ff4089f6
Google Slides (com.google.android.apps.docs.app.DocListActivity)
*fff6b400
Google Sheets (com.google.android.apps.docs.app.DocListActivity)
*ff0b9d58
Facebook
*ff3b5b98
Gmail
*ffdb4334
Google Play Games
*ff4f8027
(com.google.android.gms.games.ui.destination.games.GameDetailActivity)
*ff242424
(Note: For Google Play Games, add the first code in all activities, and the second in the activity mentioned)
Google Play Music
*ffef6a00
Google Play News and Weather
*ffffffff (turn icon color to ff000000)
Google Play Store
*ff6a9f38
Google +
*ffdb4336
Hangouts
*ff0b9d58
Google Keep
*ffffbf09
Google Messenger (com.google.android.apps.messaging.ui.ConversationListActivity)
*ff0089d1
Mobogenie (com.mobogenie.activity.DownloadManagerActivity)
*ff008cd1
Sound Cloud
*ff242424
Twitter
*ff55afef
Youtube
*ffe71f13
These codes will make the status bar match the action bar, if you want a stock lollipop kind of feel, go in overlay options and select the semi transparent overlay, it will give you slightly darker status bar as compared to action bar, as in Lollipop.
If you are using a Navigation Bar, tick the link status & Nav bar option in default settings for best results.
For those apps which do not follow a specific color code or do not have an action bar we need to determine a default colour, so go in default settings and change the following:
Default Status bar
*ff242424
Default Nav Bar
*ff242424
If you are using the Google Keyboard with Material Light Theme, then also change the following in default settings:
Navigation Bar Tint (IM)
*ffe3eaea
Navigation Bar Icon Tint (IM)
*ff2e373c
For Material Dark Theme on Google Keyboard, change to this:
Navigation Bar Tint (IM)
*ff21292b
Navigation Bar Icon Tint (IM)
*ffe3eaea
If you want codes for other apps not mentioned here, download the color picker app from playstore and open your target app, take a screenshot and then open color picker, load the screenshot and touch on action bar to get your code, enter that in tinted status bar to set it, also post it here in comments to help others!
Cheers!
Did you know that Tinted Status Bar has a feature called "Notification Color Picker"? It automagically detects app color and let's you set the color per activity or to the whole app.
So you don't need to mess with color codes, color picker apps, screenshots, etc. You just launch the notification color picker and you can configure 20 apps in 60 seconds.
Yes that's what I used to know about the activity names, but that's all it can do, tell activity name, after that you still need screen shot and pick color and manually set that color to the respective activity

I thinks you better install Flat Style Colored Bars, it performs better than TSB
Doesn't work for us who are stuck on Jellybean

Are you kidding? You can add the color directly from the notification, see the attachments.
Add app, add activity and apply color. You are making this way more difficult than it is, man.
OK just tried it, its really amazing and yes it takes much lesser time, I really didn't knew about it, thanks dude!

That's because this module doesn't recognize the second Sim, it was made for single Sim devices in mind, my second Sim doesn't change color too, anyway you can still use gravity box to give it a color of your choice, though it won't change automatically
