TWRP and root with MIUI 8 - Redmi Note 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
I tried the classic method with adb tools to install TWRP but it doesn't work.
With MIUI 7 I succeeded the first time but with 8 nothing.
In fastboot mode in the CMD window all is OK but when I want to restart the device vol up + power I have a bootloop of the logo MI and not the TWRP .
When I switch off the device and vol up + power I have again the Mi Recovery and not the TWRP.
So I cannot root my device.
Any idea about this issue ?

people said this works

Dude seriously..???!!!
I asked you if you could enter in recovery or fastboo mode, and you said no, my phone just vibrates. If you didn't knew how to boot into fastboot you should've asked me right away.
Btw, here are the different key combos:
1) Recovery - Press VOL UP + VOL DOWN + POWER KEY and release POWER KEY once the lenovo logo shows up.
2) Fastboot - VOL DOWN + POWER KEY
3) Download Mode - VOL UP + POWER KEY
Multiple brick solution threads already exist, please search before posting your own.

Oppo neo 7 doesn't come with a locked bootloader, did you try the combination (power button + Volume down)?

Hello
Hi
Here
I have a solution for this.
Download software from official website for oppo neo 7 and go to recovery mode and then select English then install then select the software and flash it.
After doing this you can easily update your mobile okay.
Here is twrp for oppo a33f, i dont know that its working or not here are steps :-
Download oppo tools from here :- https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bx1fTL7wQzE1LWFQY0t0YlVpS2s/view?usp=drivesdk
Download twrp for oppo neo 7 :- https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bx1fTL7wQzE1OGxGVlR1dFdkazA/view?usp=drivesdk
Root is required
First download and install oppo tools then open it and go to " common " section and press " bootunlocker "
Now just press " unlock " and " tamper " now press back one time
Now you have to go to " flash " section in oppo tools then press " flash recovery " And Navigate to downloaded recovery and just tap on recovery it will flash within 5 seconds
Now just reboot to recovery and see its working or not

Strange TWRP recovery issue on my redmi note 4

Hello friends,
Apologies if I posted in wrong section.
I successfully installed Lineage 8.1 (along with gapps) on my Redmi Note 4 and is working perfectly fine (without any crashes/hangs for last couple of days. But there're some issues like
1) I tried to install TWRP multiple ways but it doesn't enter TWRP recovery mode on its own (when I press volume down+power) but instead it always stuck up at "Fastboot". So I use laptop to do that job every time I want to go TWRP recovery mode, by running 2 command at "cmd prompt" from laptop (this method works fine) =
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot boot recovery.img
IF I try to install TWRP using xiomitool it throws "Error 1006: The device is offline or unauthorized" but from cmd prompt I see device list with "adb command" without any issue.
How can I solve this issue to make my phone to TWRP (without using laptop) when I press "vol-down + power"?
2) Now that I'm running custom ROM 8.1 on my redmi note 4, how to update it regularly, Does it get updates on its own OR should I manually download Lineage 8.1 updates/apply them?
3) I did NOT root my device and am not interested to do that unless its of great advantage. Please advise if I should do that. If yes, which method is the best one (Magiks/Supersu etc.)
Thanks!

ROOT - Redmi 6A (Oreo 8.1)

Hello everybody ,
I need some tricks/advices and I think you guys can help me .
My old and outdated smartphone Android 4.1 is down, so I've bought a brand new Xiaomi Redmi 6A (Android 8 .1).
Anyway, I'm going nuts since few days, trying to root my device...... I've already found some topics online dealing with that issue..... already tested a lot(!)...... but no one works!! :crying:
So I just wonder if someone have already succeded in it? Does anyone have the perfect trick to do it, and especially working links if it requires to download some tools (twrp, magisk, and so on)?
Thanks a lot guys, any help would be appreciated!
root example N°1:
- TWRP recovery is required to Root Redmi 6A without PC, You can Follow Our guide to Install TWRP recovery on Any Android Device without PC: got it from the PlayStore, and install OK
- First of all Get Supersu to Root Your Redmi 6a: OK
- Now paste the Supersu.zip fle in your device’s memory: OK
- Now rename the file to Update.zip: OK
- Now turn off your android smartphone: OK
- Now boot your smartphone in TWRP Recovery mode: OK
- To boot in recovery mode you have to Press Volume up + Power button together or Volume Up + Power + Home button , basically it is different for every phone . Dont release the keys until the smartphone boots in recovery mode: FAILED
root example N°2:
- Unlock Bootloader of your device. Check How to Unlock Bootloader of Xiaomi phones: OK factory settings as I read about
- You’ll lose all your data upon unlocking bootloader. We advise you to backup all your data to a safer location OK
- Download and install the latest Xiaomi USB Drivers on your PC. OK
- Enable Developer Options and USB Debugging from Settings. (Complete guide) OK
- Setup ADB and Fastboot Drivers on your PC. OK
- There should be at least 75% battery on your device to perform the rooting procedure. OK
- TWRP image file for Redmi 6A – Download OK
- Download the TWRP image file based on your device model from above links to your computer. Rename the file to twrp.img and copy it to ADB & Fastboot folder OK
-Enable Developer Options and USB Debugging from Settings. (Complete guide)OK
-Setup ADB and Fastboot Drivers on your PC.OK
-There should be at least 75% battery on your device to perform the rooting procedure.OK
- 1. Download the TWRP image file based on your device model from above links to your computer. Rename the file to twrp.img and copy it to ADB & Fastboot folder.OK
- 2. Turn off your device and boot into fastboot mode. To do so, you need to completely turn off your device and boot it on by pressing and holding Volume Down + Power button simultaneously .OK
- 3. Now you will see a fastboot logo on your device. Take a USB cable and connect your device with PC.OK
- 4. Go to ADB & Fastboot folder. Here you need to press Shift key and right click anywhere in the folder. Now, select Open Command Window Here.OK
- 5. Now follow our simple guide on how to install TWRP Recovery via Fastboot.OK
- 6. Once TWRP recovery is successfully installed, you need to enter the below command to enter into TWRP mode.OK
fastboot boot twrp.img OK
- 7. Tap on Install button from recovery main menu and install the DisableForceEncryption_Treble.zip file. FAILED, still the Xiaomi bootloader with vol+&power, despite ok message after fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
- 8. Done! Reboot the system.
Thanks SacredDeviL666 for moving my post at the right place.
I am experiencing the same problem on Xiaomi Redmi 6A.
$ fastboot flash recovery trwp.img
OKAY
$ fastboot boot twrp.img
boots to Xiaomi bootloader
$fastboot reboot recovery
boots to Xiaomi recovery
Can anybody assist with this issue? Thanks....

You should have to install realme ui recovery and vander 3.5gb file from official. Than try official method for installation of twrp ozip supported recovery. And flash any rom and mjsik that you want. In case you accidently delete your vander?
Or
But may be your recovery file is corrupted ?
So I advise you to install twrp from official website .
That will be approx 60mb.
