Sideloading LG UX 5.0 onto the Verizon LG v10? - Verizon LG V10

Has anyone sideloaded LG UX 5.0 onto the Verizon LG v10?

Which version, 5 or 5+ based on Android 7. Either way I think you have to flash a zip files which means boot loader access, which this phone lacks. Hence the complete lack of development.
If it is just an installable APK then put a link I am sure someone will try it.

Where can we get Stock Roms for lg devices?

Hello everybody, this is my first Lg device, I have always owned HTC devices and there are originals files call RUU, that is an 100% original rom from the fabricant, so it restore everything to an original state...
I was wondering: Is something like that for Lg devices? What is the extension? Where can we get it?
I have seen .zip with .md5.tar files inside for samsumg devices....

Yeah, but that is a System Pull converted into a flashable .zip for recovery...
I was thinking on something original from the fabricant, for example: htc drops all the RUU for their users and you can use it with the .exe or extract it in order to use the rom.zip inside the ruu...
I tough maybe there is something similar around Lg Devices (not exclusively the v10)...
Thank you for your orientation.

LG has kdz files. It seem to be available for every other v10's at the moment but tmobile.
So, say I messed up my stock ROM, and factory resetting isn't working. Seems to be blocked since it doesn't even start to reset.
Edit: Nevermind, turns of with Xposed being installed, it blocks factory reset.
LG just released Marshmallow kdz for international http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/general/official-software-h960a-v20a-t3354304 and we haven't even gotten lollipop yet. Lol what.

Help!!! I am Confused!!

I bought a LG V10 today i dont know if its used or new (LOL) any way to find that out i checked IMEI says its orignal talked to people at LG USA they said its Original Here are my questions:
1) How to know if your phone is Legit like New + Lasting?( in my country they replicate used to orignal or fake to orignal)
2) How to Root LG V10? (i tried it with other phones i broke them)
3) Suggest Some Recommended Apps and ROMS?
4)I have seen a youtube video of xdadevelopers they were talking how you can overclock or under clock your device can i do that with my phone?
5)Last Question How can i myself from the infamous Bootloop? (Any Suggestion, Tricks Ways)
I am new here i need your help for not doing a rookie mistake....
1) Get the LG Phone Info app on the Google Play Market and as long as that shows "OK" in the Original info (the first box after you click the Get Information button) then your device is an original and not something that's been modified on a firmware level.
2) If you have Lollipop or Marshmallow rooting is fairly easy by comparison to Nougat. If you have Nougat on it already things are basically a stop - there is no working root for Nougat at this moment IF the device has been upgraded to Nougat using T-Mobile's OTA direct from them. Once that's been installed there's no turning back and no working root at this point but some devs are working on it, no guarantees they'll ever be able to create one.
If the device has Lollipop or Marshmallow on it you can get it rooted. The best course of action is to go from Lollipop to Marshmallow (the last Marshmallow build is 20l and that's an "L" there, lowercase, not 1 or i/I) and then what you'll need to do is get TWRP on it (that step is critical) then you would flash this modified update.zip to get to Nougat build 30b on it. runningak3d modified that update.zip file so it does NOT overwrite the recovery partition and you get to keep TWRP installed for flashing purposes. If you use T-Mobile's official OTA update.zip you'll be stuck, not able to flash anything including TWRP, or get rooted, etc.
So, again, the process is get to Marshmallow 20l, then get TWRP installed - at that point root is not necessary just to get the modified 20b update.zip on it. Then use TWRP to flash that modified 20b update.zip at which point it'll be Nougat, and THEN you can flash SuperSU with TWRP and you end up with a V10 running Nougat and rooted, that's the only method at this point.
runningak3d said he (or she, sorry, I just don't know) would try to create another modified update.zip which is pre-rooted so when installed you've got root/SuperSU ready to go but it's barely a minute to install SuperSU manually after flashing that modified 20b update.zip so it's not really a big issue there.
3) There are no custom ROMs for the V10 at this point, no Lineage, no AOSP, nothing really. There are some modified stock ROMs iirc but nothing that's totally custom and we V10 owners are still hoping some dev will take some time and create an unofficial Lineage build for the V10 based on Nougat (or even Marshmallow, I don't really care which Android version it's based on just that it's Lineage through and through). It seems pretty screwy that nobody seems to care about the V10 enough to have created a custom ROM but that's how it goes sometimes. The V10 is like an LG G4 on steroids in some respects, basically the same hardware overall with some minor differences (the second screen, of course, but I don't even use that on mine so I don't care about it at all).
I just wanted Lineage because it's so lean and efficient compared to any stock ROM and of course the potential for having a custom kernel with more governor support and other aspects is the big draw for me so, the hope remains that someone out there will take some pity on us woeful V10 owners and drop a Lineage build someday.
As for apps, well, that's entirely up to you and what you use your V10 for, and since nobody knows that but you then it'll be up to you to decide what kinds of apps you're going to be looking for.
4) Over-and-underclocking requires a custom kernel that allows for such things, and the stock kernel that's available (I think there was one custom kernel but it's just a modified stock one with limited additional capabilities) simply doesn't allow for such alterations. The V10 is quite fast on its own natively so, I can't imagine why someone would need to overclock it - I can understand WHY someone would WANT to do it, of course, but as for an actual need to do it, nope.
As for underclocking, that would save battery and be what I'd call a need in some respects, but again there just doesn't seem to be any developer out there that gives a damn about the V10 sadly. I wish I had spent more time learning how to create custom ROMs over the years and trick out some kernels as well using the provided source from manufacturers of these smartphones but I never did.
5) There is no way to prevent the potential bootloop issue which affects the G3/G4/G5/G6 (I saw one report so it could be bogus for the G6) and also the V10/V20 (seen two reports for the V20) and the Nexus 5x because it's a hardware manufacturing defect related to how the Snapdragon SoCs are mounted on the motherboards. There's nothing that you can do about it and there's no way to know for sure if the V10 you have will develop problems because of it or not, all you can do is use it and be done with it and hope for the best. Again, there is no fix and there's no way to know or prevent it from happening so, no matter what so called "fix" you read about or see a video about, it's all BS and best avoided.
My recommendation: since you just got the V10, go to LG's website and register the V10 in your name (might have to create an account) and then say you bought it in March, April, or May of 2017 (just a few months ago) and that will give you warranty protection through at least mid-2018. If you do that and it does bootloop on you, LG will replace it through the warranty period. Don't register it and you're out of luck if it does bootloop on you.
Hope this helps...

You don't say WHICH V30 you have. That's important information you left off. If cross flashed to another variant, what was the last stock firmware you used before installing custom ROM?
You can either:
* restore the TWRP backup you made before flashing the LOS- based custom ROM.
You did make a backup, right?
or
* flash TWRP-flashable zip (ROM) made from stock firmware.
Made for V30 with TRWP custom recovery by our Devs; basically stock ROM but with DTS 3D and other stuff already enabled. We have them for several V30 variants -- which is why we need to know what you have.
or
* use Dev Patched LGUP to install LG stock KDZ for your V30 variant.
Your Bootloader will still be unlocked. You will then need to follow WTF Section 6 Instructions to re-install TWRP, reformat internal memory, root. Unless you have T-Mobile H932, which uses different method to install TWRP. Which is why we need to know what variant you have.
(Saying you have a "V30" is like saying you have a "Dell" computer. It tells us very little.)

LG Bridge isn't going to work for you on LOS-based custom ROMs. It's LG software looking for LG stock firmware to update.
solution
Thank you very much to those who have answered me, and tried most of the forms and just brick the cell phone, finally I read on a page that served to let much of the battery run out and try again and I did it and miracle It worked, I hope this helps another person with a similar problem.

Easiest way to go back to stock ROM?

Im currently on Lineage ROM, and i got a new phone so i need to flash the stock ROM on this K20 Plus, what would be the easiest way to do it? MetroPCs model.
I know you may have long since found the answer, but for others who may be curious simply search for the official LG software suite PC program and install it. You will need the phone device drivers. There is a thread here in the xda K20 plus ROMs and development forum with links to the necessary files and some basic guides. You'll also need to download the official stock image from the lg-firmwares.com or any such similar host sites. Although I believe the official and recent version of the LG backup/restore suite can download the image file automatically but I may be wrong. The crucial thing is to install all the necessary drivers on your PC and ensure the phone can be recognized on it. I haven't kept up with any of the latest releases to know if maybe the suite does the downloading and drivers setup with ease. But more or less the whole stock reflash process is the same and not difficult.

RE:How to flash LG modded ROM zip images to LG V30 phones

Hello XDA forum members,
I have a stock (OEM,non rooted, non unlocked bootloader!!) Sprint LG V30 LS998 11a phone that i wanted to upgrade the ROM with a 30a version, but the flashing issue that I am assuming is that the ROM update is in zip file format and i have heard that only LG UP/Flash utility for PC accepts KDZ,TOT file formats only(??)...so how may i flaash the modded LG ROM zip file to my LG V30 sprint phone from my PC without errors??
Thanks in advance for any replies and/or links/references to LG approved Flashing utilities for PC users!!
The zip files are meant for unlocked bootloader phones which have TWRP custom recovery installed, which replaces stock recovery. TWRP lets you flash (install) other mods, custom ROMs, or even make full image backups of your system (which can be restored like a time machine if something goes wrong with your phone). You don't have to be rooted to have TWRP custom recovery, but your bootloader does need to be unlocked.
However, in recent years, it was best to then also be rooted -- which only means YOU are the "admin" of your smartphone computer, not the carrier or the OEM -- because then you could "hide" unlocked bootloader status from nosy apps. It makes no sense to be bootloader unlocked but not rooted.
For your phone which is pure stock, you need to flash pure stock KDZ files. Both defunct Sprint and AT&T do not provide KDZ files publicly but only through OTA process -- which can only be obtained if you are a customer on their network.
I assume you are not a customer of former Sprint/current T-Mobile (which bought Sprint). If NOT, then you can convert your phone from LS998 to US998 and then update from there using KDZ files. There's a thread called Frankenstein, which is about that process. READ carefully! First you would downgrade to Nougat, then update to newer builds of KDZ. If you try flashing 30a (which is Pie) first there's a software check which prevents that, and causes endless bootloops. The key is to go back to Nougat before that software check was put in the firmware, then it's a smoot path to get to new builds.
See this sticky. Don't ask questions there. It's only to link to the Frankenstein thread, where you should ask questions.
