Cleaned app data/cache , I even flashed another stock rom but without any luck at all. Help please!

You guys try fixing permissions?

What permissions?

I am assuming you guy's our rooted/TWRP? If so go into TWRP and click on advance. You should see option to fix permissions. Click on that and swipe. Back-up before trying this. This may fix your guys issue.

No root.

Is root available for your unit? If so root it. Might have better luck fixing it.

Hi All,
I am very sorry if I am posting to the wrong forum. But I couldnt find answers in any others. PLease HELP! My USB mode is always turned on. It always says its charging even if not connected to PC. Because of this my battery always shows 100%. I have a rooted stock ROM. I just did the OTA update. But this problem happened before the TMO OTA update. I uninstalled launcher pro for a moded launcher pro plus. I unistalled it using Titanium.. now I can't replace it for some reason. I actually notice I was dealing with system files and its a bit different. Any ideas how to force to install it manually?
I read some where that winamp app causes auto mount.

Yeah it's definitely winamp. I had it installed and had the same issue. Instantly disappeared as soon as I uninstalled it.
It is a feature of Winamp. The automount may be toggled on/off from inside Winamp's settings.

Check in your About Phone and make sure you did get the JI6 update. That was supposed to fix the "known Issue" when i was talking with the tech support at TMO. Of course, i was running a third party rom and couldn't get the update so i flashed Bionix 1.9.1 which had the update built in and have been good since. If that doesn't work or if you DO have the update and still having the issue have them send a replacement as it is a defect and they will send a new one.
I had to exchange my phone, tmobile explained to me that its an issue with some phones and cannot be fixed so they sent me a replacement phone. I would one click unroot and exchange your phone. That is what I had to do.
Hi.. Thank you all for your response.. Is it possible to fix it if I flash it with a new ROM? Or is it becuse of hardware issue? I am waiting for a Froyo ROM to flash it. Would it fix the problem?
Thanks

Wow I wish my battery was that good...
Try repartitioning with stock ROM in ODIN. It seems to solve a lot of issues, but it will wipe your internal SD.
I have this same problem and I have had no luck fixing it with ANYTHING! I tried ODIN so many times and its always the same issue...
Moved to Q&A.

[Solved] Youtube not playing videos. Possible to fix?

I've had this problem ever since installed then uninstalled avast and the antitheft bit that sometimes youtube won't play videos.
The app shows the videos available and I can search but when you click to play all you get is the spinning circle.
It doesn't happen often and a restart of phone always fixed it before but now that's not helping.
Cleared cache etc but nothings working. Anyone know what can cause this and how to sort it?
Its a stock rooted gb rom and only happened when avasts hidden app didn't uninstall after getting superuser rights and I had to freeze the hidden app then uninstall it with titanium backup. It did say (avast) something about doing something to nand...could that have any effect such as this?

Anyone?
I've never been able to get any help with resolving problems in an xda post, would be nice if at least this problem could be solved. Here's hoping.

Sooner or later I'll ask something at xda and get an answer (hasn't happened yet though), but anyway I found a solution so to anyone having similar a issue try this....
Use titanium backup to backup youtube app. Then use same app to uninstall youtube.
Reboot device (probably not needed but I did it anyway).
Use titanium backup to reinstall the youtube app (don't reinstall app data, just the app).
That's it.
Hopefully it will help someone if they have same problem.

I think you need to start your own thread with that as its nothing to do with youtube videos and so unless someone having youtube problems and owning the same phone as you also happens to know the answer you probably won't get one but I found a page via google where someone having your problem fixed it.
Check http://androidforums.com/enlighten-all-things-root/475319-how-root-lg-enlighten-tutorial.html and hopefully it will help you.

For me nothing worked until this:
tried to clean data restart and so on, till I uninstalled update and now it works. I think they try to implement something so you can't watch from other country as my phone think I'm from US but I'm in Europe or they made really poor app.

didnt work for me :/
Wow, thank you. I was struggling with this on my rooted Android tv box since the beginning of 2016. As time passed it just got worse and worse unto the point of not being able to watch any video. It would just spin and buffer. Tried posting this problem on different forums and reading and looking until I found this. I gave it a try and it worked like magic. At least until now. I don't know what's going on with these YouTube updates but they just seem be making the app worse with every update. Mine started happening since February and ever since just got worse. Now I have to figure out the other known issue of all my subscribed to Channel's videos just piling on in the notifications section. Ive tried deleting them from my phone, my PC, and my Android box. I've done everything i've read and could think of without figuring out how to delete the dam notifications. Thank you

WhatsApp doesnt play notification sounds

Hey
For some reason a friend of mines WhatsApp doesn't make a notificatin sound when a meesage incomes. The options are selected and when selecting a tone and previewing it, it sounds.
What could be wrong?
Thanks
Why don't you contact the developers of the app instead of asking here? What would anyone here know about Whatsapp?

Whatsapp has it's quirks in all platforms. Try to uninstall the app, clear your caches and delete off the Whatsapp folder in your SDcard , some buggy settings might be left behind so best to clean everything up. Reinstall and see if it works.
Just happend to me. Does clearing the whatsapp folder solve it?
same issue happened with me

[Q] Do I need to flash a device if OS crashed?

My SGS2 was suddenly rebooted itself when I connected it to my PC. It didn't happen before and it does not happen now.
My question is, when something goes wrong and the phone suddenly reboots or a specific app crashes or whatever (just one time, not on a regular basis) how can I know if any damage was done, to data for example, like a corruption, and whether or not should I reinstall this app or wipe and flash the phone?
I was just about to finish configuring settings and installing apps after a clean ROM installation when it happened, and so I thought about doing everything all over again because I wanted it to be "perfect".
If anyone shares this annoying habit I'm sure you will know what I'm talking about. I figured out I might just ask a pro about this thing I usually do, as I am aware that it is possible that there is absolutely zero logic to it and it is all in my head
Thanks.
P.S: Didn't post in the device forum because I figured it is a question that is based on the Android OS nature rather than subjective to a specific device model.
Clean install, re-flash rom.

I was hoping for a little bit more info
Is there any reason to re-flash just because of a single crash? if so, please elaborate as I am very willing to understand the considerations.
Thanks.
Anyone?
why dont you do a research on logcats !!
if you can understand logcats fine or else just post the logcats in the forum of the app that causes crashing!!

Because I'm not asking about troubleshooting a crashing app... nor a faulty OS installation.
I'm asking about the general idea of re-flashing a phone just because the OS suddenly crashed, one time only, without any special use for the moment.
You said your phone rebooted after you connected it to the pc. This the problem. No need to reflash imo, just close all apps when connecting next time.

what do you mean by OS suddenly crashed.. is it that it rebooted all of a sudden out of nowhere or are there some system process that gets FC ?
if its happened one time only no need to reflash... if problem exists reflash with proper wipe..

It was actually right after I power it up so maybe it was still loading some stuff? and btw, how do I close all apps? I can google it of course but then I will find about 5698 different ways to do it without knowing which one did you mean

Kind of out of nowhere, yes, but even if it had something to do with me connecting it to the PC too soon after starting the phone - I am still curious if a sudden crash (a single one out of nowhere) can make some sort of a damage to any system or app data that it is recommended to re-flash or something.
I really hope you got my point. I used all my English skills to this one!

android can crash when it runs out of RAM. Doesnt necessarily mean that a system app is damaged. if however a system app is damaged it will show up as a FC (force close) rather than a reboot.
so still im of the opininon that you dont have to reflash you rom yet...
How exactly did it work? Did you connect your phone to PC and then it rebooted?
By closing all apps i meant removing everything from recents screen.

So you are basically saying that if something wrong happened like a sudden reboot, and it doesn't happen again, you wouldn't mind about it. Correct?

Yeah. But it didn't happen since. Just this one time.
I got curious about what might have caused it and what might have happened because of it and decided to ask here if it makes sense to re-flash
your rom is fine. The reboot used to happen to me from time to time when i plugged it into the computer or when i uninstalled an app. It had something to do with an app being executed in the background and not releasing every ressource. This didnt happen on the last few builds for me though...

And can a sudden reboot cause any damage to any app or sys data integrity?
normally not. if you dont have fc over fc then you dont need to reflash

Second screen crashes while in phone calls?

Did you install Xposed Framework? If so, then you have to install the second screen fix for it, otherwise that will occur.

That worked after I learned the hard way I couldn't use es file explorers download function to download those files haha.
Thx a ton!
Thanks, Ive been using xposed for a few days but apperantly havent used the "phone feature" ahhahahahaha
