Tried using screen recorder feature and broadcast is not there. Anyone know how to use it ?

There's an app that I use to use called Twitch for Player that suddenly stopped working a few months ago. The app isn't in the Google market anymore and the developer seems to have disappeared too.
Its a shame because I watch alot of Twitch streams on my Note 2 and this app was perfect because its the only one on the market that allowed you to watch the stream while having the chat displayed on the side so that you can read chat and watch the stream at the same time. This is unlike the official Twitch app that forces you to go to portrait mode to read chat and then tilt back to landscape for fullscreen.
Here's a link to the app and how it looked like:
http://www.androidhit.de/apps/details?id=com.aasstudio.twitchforplayer
The thing is sadly this app stopped working a few months ago in that when you go into a stream, the chat will continue to run as normal and you can see the conversation fine, but the problem is any stream that you go into, it always says 'channel offline' and give you nothing but a black screen. :crying:
So I'm wondering is there any way to 'reactivate' this app again so that the streams will display again or is there no way of doing this and the app is dead for good?
Bump can anyone help with this?
All,
I need help with my brand-new Sony Z4 tablet: it crashes 90% of the times I play video!!
This happens regardless of the app used to play video, e.g. in YouTube as well as FX Media Player or Google Photos or even Sony's own "Videos" app. The crash happens right away before any of the video shows up. The screen goes black, the LED blinks 3 times short and then once long and the tablet goes into reboot (Sony logo, Android logo, wait, then home screen).
What is wrong with my tablet???
My tablet is the SGP771 (Z4 tablet LTE but no SIM inserted as I work with WLAN only), Android 5.0.2, build 28.0.A.7.24. I am running Action Launcher (not the Sony launcher) and have disabled some of the bloatware on the tablet (Sony apps, Gmail, etc).
I would greatly appreciate if anybody can help me with this as this is VERY ANNOYING!
Thanks! Martin
Maybe some of the bloatware you disabled is actually needed to play videos, I don't know.
Mine doesn't play videos on FB
Sent from my Nexus 6
Got no issues with avi, mkv and mp4 movies ranging between 600 and 3800 MB using MX player pro. Neither with YouTube via app or web nor videos in Google photo app.
SGP712 and 28.0.A.6.2. Sony launcher, uninstalled Sony apps which could be uninstalled, left rest. No modifications otherwise.
Maybe try resetting the tablet to factory values and see if the issue still persists.
same here, latest updates installed (Android 6.0.1)
it should not be caused by apps but more likely by kernel/drivers
I have a variation on this. Every once in a while I'm unable to play YouTube videos or GIF(V)'s/MP4's from within Relay Pro (Reddit client app). It says 'Playback failed.' (Relay) or 'There was a problem while playing. Tap to retry.' (YouTube). Rebooting the tablet fixes this...

Me too, but it was on the stock ROM, with every stock ROM from 5.02 to 6.0.1. With cm, no problem with YouTube at all.
Had this issue with unlocked bootloader on Z4 tablet, there is a working solution in another thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/help/video-playback-issue-t3290793
Play youtube vids while screen is off ""NoRoot""No3rdPartyApps""
Hi,
So I Discovered a way to play YouTube videos without the need of being in the youtube app, You can even play when The screen is off
# This method does not require youtube red
# No root is needed
It's actually pretty simple all you need is headphones or earphones with a pause/play Physical button.
1) Plug in the headphones
2) Play any youtube video from the youtube app.
3) Press your home button or switch off your screen, But don't remove youtube from memory.
4) Now all you need to do is click the Physical play button in your headphones.
Idk if it does work on other devices. But it worked on mine
LG G5 (H850) running nougat
Lol that actually worked. It's probably a bug, but i'll take it while it lasts.
the other way, is to use firefox instead of the youtube app.. you can keep it playing in the backgroud or with screen off
Or use OGyoutube. There is a NoRoot version and it enables background play, download and screen off play. I'm using it right now.

Yup, OGyoutube ftw!
Works on Bluetooth in my car as well.
Anyone have a link to a clean ogYouTube apk? The one I found is telling me to add an install of something else, microG; Avast didn't flag it, but better safe than sorry.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that. The microG APK is required to run OGyoutube.
Got it, thanks! I looked it up, it was legitimate, so I went ahead with the install.
It's an older post but you can also go to the youtube home page, request desktop site, start a video, turn off the screen, turn on the lockscreen and press play.
That was my method until today. Now I use just the play button on the head phones.
thanks.
No Pause Lock
try No Pause Lock for youtube with lock screen nopauselock eu
Or you guys could just get Ogyoutube. That's what I use to play videos in the background
Y Music is also awesome. Doesn;t play the videos, just music. No ads, and background play.
You can also download.
I am having a problem where the Skype overlay disappears after 5 seconds if I go back to the home screen or switch to another app. I know it is not Skype's problem because I tried the same version on my older Galaxy Note Edge phone and it works perfectly especially when I am playing multiplayer games with my friends.
I have set the priority of the Skype app to the highest and allowed it to overwrite other apps in the EMUI settings so I don't know why this problem is occurring. Same goes for FB Messenger's video call overlay. Anyone knows the fix to this? It is super annoying.
Thanks!
Nobody else got this issue or my post got burried? This Skype and FB Messenger video overlay disappearing thing is a huge issue for me since I want to be multitasking when video chatting. I know it works because the video overlay gradually disappears as if the software detected it and removed it.
Another thing to note is that app multitasking also does not work with Skype and FB Messenger so I can't divide the screen in half while running them.
Edit: Found an app that works, see comments.
Hey, is there any currently working way of disabling audiofocus for centan apps?
I want to listen to music on spotify and play video audio out of chrome or opera at the same time. I would prefer for the sporify audio to duck (reduce the volume) when opera is playing audio, but not stop compleately. If ducking isnt an option, playing with the same volume is fine too.
Ive tried the ADB command thing here on chrome, but it just made chrome not able to play any video. The video would play for .1 second and stop everytime.
Also ive tried samsung sound assistant, but a) there isnt an option to disable audio focus on apps anymore, b) my tab s2 (gts210velte/SM-T819) cant run the app anymore after installed lineage os 16.0 (android 9)
I dont care if its an app i have to buy, but i just need to be able to play multiple audio at the same time. If i cant mess with audiofocus is it possible to make spotify automatically play the music again after the other audio stops? Now i have to lower the drop-down notification bar and continue evrery time and its driving me crazy!
Also, the tablet is rooted via magisk.
Any help is appreciated
Bump
Anybody?
Nnm, if anybody has the same problem: found an app called app ops (root) that allows to disable audio focus.
First touhgt i had to disable it on opera browser, but when i did this opera wasnt able to play anything, then i disabled it from spotify and now its working as intended.
99% sure it works on chrome too.

Thanks! app ops offer exactly what i want and even more!
Wow, i forgot how i did this. Recently got a new phone, started googling and found this thread i forgot i made.
At first it wasnt working, but noticed that if you are using viper4android you have to change settings to "Legacy mode". Im guessing it will work fine if not using viper.
Im trying to achieved the same thing. Successfully gained access to disable audio focus but when i do that it just doesnt allow apple music to play anything. Any specifics i should do?
Hello,
Using App Ops, I disabled "audio focus" on the Spotify app, and was able to simultaneously play YouTube in browser (m.youtube.com via Kiwi).
Thanks for this discovery !
