Ok hello everyone.
Firstly, If I have posted this in the wrong place, I apologise....I didn't come here to piss off anyone. There are so many posts I got confused.
So I've been using [SXU]Infinity Rom v3 by acervenky. Its the best ICS Rom in my personal opinion, the most stable I found so far (I use it with Greenify). Oh and I have unlocked bootloader.
Now I dont test roms or develop stuff and when it comes to tech stuff consider me a newbie....just regular guy wanting to use KitKat on his Xperia U for daily use, which eats less ram, is stable enough, and I really love themes and stuff but performance is priority.
So which of these would you guys recommend that I can flash for daily use:
1. XNovathor Project 4.4.2 V2 (because who doesn't like a lot of ram...)
2. CarbonRom KK RC1 [ARM-EABI] (because it looks supercool like batman)
3. Unofficial SlimKat (kumquat) [RC2] [BUILD 3 - 1MAR] (because as they say its really slim? and looks good too)
4. AOSB Project v1 (because it has tons of features)
As you can see I like all of these, but I'm not sure cause I don't really have that expertise to judge it well.
So what do you guys say?
Which one should I use?
I prefer cm 11
But according to Ur 4 roms i prefer carbon or slim ROM
Slim ROM for smoothness
And Carbon for performance and stuffs
U can use my Resurrection Rom too But wait for next update

Thanks a ton man, I think I'll try Carbon first....if I don't like it, I'll go for slim ROM. And yes, I'd definitely like to try your ROM too...:good:

Ques regarding SlimKat Rom
Has anyone here flashed slimkat rom.?? I am having some issue.
I have been use AOSB rom version 1
I think mild and tolerable with no lag. but I got a problem when trying to type. Virtual keyboard appears rather old.
I've used the CM11 for ~3 months now, and IMO it's the best one
Inviato dal mio Xperia U utilizzando Tapatalk
Of those I prefer Slim... but 4.2+ has Bluetooth audio problems so I avoid them (and no non-Sony ROM I've seen has a working half-press camera button...)
So i successfully rooted my phone using odin and cwm recovery. i am on stock rom 4.1.2.
Can anyone please refer to a rom anyone used on this phone and it worked without many bugs.
i searched for cm11 but it still has many bugs on this phone so i ignored it. Please refer to me roms that have a newer version on android only. I dont want customised stock roms. just omniroms or maybe cm10.2. Thanks everyone!

Interesting. Nice find, I didn't know this one. I will test to see if it's really KitKat :good:
Edit: it is a beautiful ROM, but it isn't KitKat. It's the same Android JB we all have in our devices. I'm considering to keep it installed.
It is for i8552B

well its nice, much lighter than the original stock rom. Plus its better and much sleeker than the touchwiz. Although its not a major upgrade like cyanogenmod. But yeah, worth more than the stock rom. One of the cleanest rom for grand quattro :good:

Yes, I tested. Let me write a little review.
I would say Bionic Monkey (the name of the rom) is a stock-based rom, with some interesting mods. By default the rom changes the DPI, so more things fit on screen. Some apps are KitKat-themed, like contacts or dialer. The stock launcher was replaced by Google Experience Launcher. It's also pre-rooted and has support to multiwindow. I didn't test multiwindow, but I think it's nice on that rom because of DPI.
The major disadvantage is that the rom is not KitKat, despite the system info. You can test it by installing any app only for KitKat - it will refuse to install.
So, in general, it's a good rom for daily use, so you might give it a try.

There's no KK for us, at least for now. All the roms that claim to be any Android higher than 4.1.2 are actually themed roms with mods on build.prop, but in fact they are Android 4.1.2.
The exception is CM (the one in link provided by you), that is KK in fact. But is still unstable and not suited for daily use.

I'm looking for a ROM that works so if u know one please inform me

I've read that AOSP is pretty good. It's fast. Or Cyanogenmod. The bad thing is that this phone isn't really popular, so development is slow. You could also flash 5.1 firmware.
AOSP 5.1..1 Works well
AOSP 5.1.1 + Full Gapps Works Well in my Moton E....

What about headphones? Are they working?
Hi, Lox2013. The best rom for me, is AOSP, its very stable and lite, with the squid kernel and the last adreno drivers. I have a surnia xt1527. try it.
If you love advance customization on your phone I recommend RR and PAC-ROM, if you want simple customization try CM12, you can also try CANDY5 which is a new ROM for our surnia, try all of them and see which stands the most
you should fix your topic title..
and i vote stock rom.
every rom i see has things i don't like about them.

again I have the same question, are headphones working?
sorry iks8. Yes, working for me.
Trust me I've tried almost every rom for moto e surnia!
After trying most of the roms, the one with the least bugs was PAC-ROM with the combination of squid2's kernel. CM12.1 is nt bad bt theme engine causes a lot of problems!
I love PAC-Rom. It runs OK with Squid's kernel and PurePerformancesX. As Paul said, you can customize it a lot.

Resurrection Remix. It's a CM 13 based Rom, stable and nice. You have other customization options too.
From my personal experience, MM ROMs are a lot better, smooth and stable (so far) than any lollipop Rom I've flashed on this device

Yes..i tried to flash it before The ROM bit nothing... The recovery doesn't istall The ROM..remain on path system unconditionally..
I think cm 13 is best rom ever in custom roms
I suggest Temasek, AICP, or CyanPop for now. Since RR froze development for reasons I don't know, these ROMs should be a good substitute. But when RR comes back, its a recommend to go for it. RR topped the charts while the I9300 was in the world of lollipops

I had Blispop v4.x (LP 5.1) for a month. Twice a day I had to restart the phone because camera driver (or whatever) was crashing and apps could not connect to camera.
Is the camera driver stable on CM 13 or Resurrection Remix?
I was using A Better Camera and Camera MX.
I suggest to stay on lollipop, cause MM cm-13 still have a lot of bugs. If you use ur phone for daily usage just wait for stable release of MM.

not right.. for me marshmallow rom is better than lollipop ROM..try only to see the instructions and do a flash clean.
is 3 weeks thai i use Cyanogenmod13 and now i'm on latest build 17012016..and all works fine without problem.. for camera i don't have any issue.. i use snap camera but i think also stock camera isn't buggy
Lollipop is not ideal for exynos versions of S3. Thats why CM skipped it. Not to say you wont find other custom roms where L does fine as well as unofficial CM12 versions. With free time on the weekend, I decided to test latest CM 13 nightlies. This on the assumption its just to familiarize myself with it then flash back to my reference CM11 backup. Quite surprised how solid CM13 is. May hang on to it for a while as I've not yet seen any reason to flash back yet.
I recommend you resurrection remix rom.
So guys it's been a while since i checked the forum and i found some new roms. is there any recommendation for a good clean rom with good performance and battery life? few bloatware, etc.
Slim Rom that's been ported to Z2.
Very fast, best battery and debloated

Battery was very good on a lot of kk-roms, although as I understood the OP, he was talking about the newer Roms he didn't check yet.

I read and understood what he said, and advised him accordingly. Why would i suggest a KK rom? He did say new right?
Have you checked the dev tread lately, you will find the new Slim Rom 4.8 ported by Rakesh. V 5.1.1 LP

Sorry, this is just a confusion.
Obviously you talk of the stock based SLiM Rom, and I was referring to the famous aosp-/cm-based slim Rom.
I hate the name they chose, it's so similar to slimrom.

I recommmnd the Google Style ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/rom-google-style-v1-0-t3300253
It's a Sony stock-based ROM with AOSP/CM apps. The fastest ROM I've ever used, and I get very regularly over 5h SOT with very, very heavy usage

Yes, you can. I am check the screenshot.
First flash Rakesh's port 4.8 full rom as a base for Z2. Then on your link download the 4.9 OTA and flash it.
Later you can change your buildprop line for model number to say D6503.

No its not as much slimed down like Purex or Google -Style and far away from the ~300mb of AOSP - like Roms.
But hey, if you install it as your first rom, it will go on systems partition anyway, so why bother? There are lots of people that say it's smooth and battery saving (although some complain about 4.9 being not so battery -friendly as the version before).
I am curious about which marshmallow-roms will show up, and till then I just stay with GoogleStyle as my primary.
Even spent some Bucks on AOKP, cause they made my old HTC wildfire run android 4.04 with tons of features and a power -saving mode I haven't seen on any z2-rom (autoswitch to 2g at screen off) so far....

Yes Sony said so. At the moment there is a beta program in selected countries.
Atm there are MM-builds of Validus, AOKP, AOSP, CM13 (and possibly others) available, hope Sony releases their official version soon.
