1. How do I upgrade to miui based on MM ?
a. For Unofficial unlocked
b. For Official unlocked
If bootloader is unlocked
Pls help I don't want to brick my phone as there is no service center in my city
Just update from updater app if you are officially unlocked with no custom recovery
if you have custom recovery installed flash fastboot rom of miui marshmallow.
if u have unofficially unlocked and have twrp then follow this:

I dont think there is any.
If u can take risk try lazy flasher
But at first download and be prepared for fastboot rom
i guess lazy flasher works for miui lp only.
so for marshmallow what i did was flashing fastboot rom from edl mode.
i flashed stable 8.0.2 though
so to go to miui marshmallow simply i can update via updater app chosing recovery package.
i also had unofficial unlock.
today i remove unofficial unlcok and successfully unlocked officiallly. no error:laugh:

Yeah we can flash directly bro. but we must flash via edl mode not fastboot mode.
fastboot mode might give errors i guess.
lazy flasher patches boot.img and other stuffs. i dont know its working principle
But it is used to flash miui rom via TWRP recovery
without lazy flasher it gives bootloop

The so called UBP is actually not universal. It is dependent on the version MiUI you are using. So instead of trying to find what the accurate UBP is, you can simply use LazyFlasher. Baically, the UBP is what the phone reads in order to find out what and where the OS (ROM) is. Kind of like the Master Boor Record in Windows. Lazyflasher takes care of this step without you having to split your hair trying to find the bootimg.

you are unlocked officially or unofficially?
you can simply flash miui rom.zip and lazy flasher if you are unofficial unlock
if official flash via twrp cofface directly. no need of lazy flasher
i just flashed 8.0.2 via edl bro. not gone to beta. i said u can go to beta too via updater if you want.
you can directly flash beta via edl
no sim card issues bro

Hello ppl,
I have unlocked the bootloader of my RN3 snapdragon version officially and i flashed the offical twrp on my phone.
Then i did a complete backup of the rom and then installed CM 14.1 (Santosh's build)
When i installed the rom,it relocked the bootloader and the fastboot mode now shows cyanogen logo instead of the mi logo.
The TWRP is working fine and i tried out both CM13 as well as 14.1.
i was on the miui 8(5.1) build and i tried to restore the EFS file to enable VOLTE on CM14.1 but no VOLTE is working as it was V5.1
I now have to revert back to MIUI8(6.0).How do i proceed?.
*I will flash the global MIUI8 developer rom using the TWRP?
*Restore the backup that i had done earlier with with official TWRP?
*Boot into eld mode(Cyanogen fastboot mode) and then use MiFlash and flash global developer MIUI version.
Please Help me with this.Need to get the VOLTE working fast and get back to MIUI.
First of all let me tell you that volte is broken and fluctuating in miui8 MM builds. Even though there are fixes but then you have to compromise fp scanner. So in my opinion flash xiaomi.eu rom 6.8.11 based on 5.1.1. But as per experience I have seen volte working in santhosh build. Just dont flash any firmware. And to revert back to miui8 LP just wipe partitions and remeber dat official MM roms are encrypted. Dont go there. Happy flash.

Didnt you unlock bootloader? If not then unlock it using mi flash tool, and check out roms from xiaomi.eu site not from miui.com, official site produce ****ty roms. They mess up data partition with encryption. Check out 6.8.11 based on 5.1 where VoLte works fine.

I have locked bootloader. Is it fine if i just flash the zip file using twrp
MiUnlock is not detecting the phone to unlock the bootloader.
Sorry for too many questions.Litte bit new to RN3 .It was easy to flash and do stuff with my old OnePlus One.
::And ill download the stable or weekly
I think you might lose IMEI/EFS if you downgrade from CM 14.1 to lolipop MIUI? Someone more knowledgeable can confirm.

download weekly, miunlock is not detecting? Hmm then may be it is due to windows drivers. If you are using x64 bit OS then you should tweak driver signature enforcement in windows. which twrp u are using? Use a twrp where you can backup efs, modem and other important partitions. alka, zcx are best twrps.

Can anyone tell me how can i run Google Apps in my mi5 chaina dev Android 7 based rom. I can't flash gapps. In twrp it's asking device decrypt password. Any other way to flash gapps or some other way?
I've been running CM on my MI5 for quite some time. I'd like to give MIUI8 a try but am wondering:
Will flashing a Xiaomi ROM overwrite my TWRP?
Will I still be able to use TWRP to switch back to CM?
Can I keep root privileges?
Any other potential issues i should be aware of?

Thanks. What I want to do is either update to latest RR ROM, or to revert back to miui because 25-04 Resurrection build is a lil bit buggy. And the problem while updating to latest build is it gets stuck on "get Resurrected" animation. Same goes for NitrogenOS. Currently, I'm on 25-04 RR build, and it's working okay-ish with some bugs. Now, on asking this stuck animation here on another thread, someone said to upgrade bootloader by unlocking in miui 8. But there's no unofficial way...
On which ROM did you unlock officially? Global stable or global dev or China ROM. Also provide the miui version. I will try to flash that ROM and re-unlock

After flashing fastboot rom, phone will stuck at bootlogo for much longer than normal. So my suggestions is to wait for it to bootup, at least 20-30min.

You could've easily installed the rom using redwolf recovery without going through the fuss.

For us indians, global builds is for us.
You can have the developer or the stable global versions zip file.
Now make sure you use redwolf recovery, because installation of these zips from stock twrp is not really supported. If you install the global build, the recovery and root will be removed, so then you'll need to install recovery using fastboot. But if you install the dev version, it does not removes the recovery but still root is removed, which you can get by installing magisk.

Thank you guys for helping me
So I tried to flash a custom ROM on my Pocophone F1 and it didn't quite work the way it should. So I flashed the Stock Software on it back again using the MiFlash Tool and it worked successfully. But now my Touchscreen is not responding in any way. What should I do to fix it? Is there any way to install a touch driver or something like this?
What MIUI ROM did you use? Stable or Developer (beta)?

Flash using MiFlash.
and TWRP use official
had the same issue ,flashed the latest miui global stable 10.2.3.0 and my touch worked again.
as for twrp, both official and nonofficial freeze a lot at the start screen
had this problem as well and given up with twrp no matter what i do the touch never works.
could this be some of these phones use different hardware which causes this?
Yes i get once this problem with twrp official, then i used adb fastboot to install unofficial twrp then it works well till now
Are tou using the latest TWRP version? https://dl.twrp.me/beryllium/twrp-3.2.3-2-beryllium.img

How did u flash it exactly? I always download the .tgz file but I cant flash it with this file. What should I exactly do after I downloaded the .tgz file.
Tgz files are used with MiFlash. Decompress it, put in c:\xxx, open MiFlash. You´ll have three options: Clean All (keep bootloader unlocked); clean all (will lock bootloader), and the third (keep data).
