As soon As i turn of my screen the wifi stops .
I read at reddit that the ad block was interfering with the wifi connectivity.
if that's true then how to uninstall it or is there some other issue.
EDIT: I cleared the dalvik cache and cache from recovery then rebooted , now it's working fine.

I'm running Revamped SS (1.8.19) on my vibrant and I'm having a weird force close issue. I get a com.android.phone error about every 2 or 3 seconds unless I'm in airplane mode. When I'm not in airplane mode I still can't get any cell reception. I can't even access the mobile networks option in the settings. I tried taking the SIM out and still it's the same. I've tried rebooting, clearing all caches, removing task killers, flashed a different modem, and even reflashed my entire ROM, doing a system format. I've also wiped dalvik cache and fixed permissions. Please send me any suggestions. I need my phone to be working and this is extremely frustrating..
i think you'll have to do a factory wipe/reset inside CWM. also, don't use the 2g/3g toggle widget, as the FC on android phone will happen. (known issue)
G tablet running vegan 7.0.0 rc1 stock kernel. Havent used the tablet in months. The wifi icon shows that i am connected but only stays white and does not turn green like usual. I am able to surf but everytime i open a new window it gives me a security warning and some blah blah blah about the certificate. I always click accept yet the same window pops up another 10 times. I tried resetting the connection using the settings, turning it on and off with the task bar, rebooting the tablet, telling the tablet to forget the hotspot and i manually reset it. Nothing fixes it. It has done this before and i just had to reboot it to fix it but now i guess that doesnt work anymore.
Help?
Well I'm not a genius when it comes to problems, but you could try booting into clockwork, and fixing permissions. See if that fixes it. Otherwise, you'll probably need to do a wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, and wipe dalvik in clockwork. If fixing permissions doesn't work, I would recommend downloading titanium backup and backing up your apps if you have any important data (before you do wipe data, etc)
If you haven't used the tablet in months, the first thing to do would be to check the date and time. Are they correct?
Yea. The date and time are always screwed up when the connection isnt green...
But for some reason its back to normal now...i just left it alone for a day on standby and it fixed itself...
Ill do the permissions fix and hope that prevents it from happening again.
Thanks fellas

Permissions are not magically going to change even if you haven't used the tablet in months, but, the various cached files will go out of data. Wipe cache instead of fixing permissions.
I have a i9300 international and since i upgraded from 4.0.4 to 4.1.1 i`m having problems with wifi. It keeps disconecting from router every 5 minutes and automatically reconects. I tryed everything from disabling things in advanced wifi to disable power save mode in *#0011# menu, keeping it ON allways. Than i changed the router, i modified settings in the router, disabled wifi security. Nothing works, every now and than (sometimes every 5 minutes) the wifi starts disconecting and reconecting in 2-3 seconds. It is verry frustrating. Is there any fix? Real fix?
Backup data and factory reset .
fails flash new firmware .

Ok, but it sucks cuz i have to format everything.
I agree with JJ.. Let us know how it goes
I've installed the custom rom Revolution HD 16 with 4.1.2 in it and it works great now. Done a full wipe, installed the rom and then deleted the cache and dalvik again. That was all, hope to never have that problem again. Oh, and the phone is more snappy too

Hello,
I have been using the CM10 by Epinter since April 2012. I updated to the latest version of Epinter's CM10 in December. Until last monday, there were no wifi problems with the rom. Since Monday, the wi-fi has been connecting, then disconnecting, connecting again, and the disconnecting. The wifi menu will then "freeze", saying "Turning on Wi-Fi". What can I do to fix this issue?
I flashed a previous version of Epinter's rom, in which I had no issues, and then flashed GAPPS, and wiped the Dalvik Cache... Still, the problem keeps occurring.

Turn your wifi off/on
'forget' your saved wifi settings and re-enter
Re-flash current CM10 (epinter) with a full system wipe (format pre-install, osh. system, data, cache)
Check that your wifi setting is 'always on'

I've tried all of these. Nothing solved the issue :/. Anything else I could do?
look here https://forums.motorola.com/posts/09627d982f (the last two posts might help?)
check your settings (wifi advanced) and make sure the 'disconnect if signal is weak' box is unchecked
does the problem happen with any other wifi connection?
If you're still having problems I would try another stable rom (to see if the problem is rom or phone), maybe CM 7.2?

I tried that the MROM Cm 7 rom, but I could not even activate wi-fi. It said that there was a wi-fi error.
My data will not work in wifi or mobile mode. I have strong wifi and strong 4g signal.
I tried clearing the internet cache and that does not help.
I tried a battery pull and that did not help.
I tried clearing cache in recovery mode and I am not sure if it actually cleared the cache because after selecting the clear cache option I got a dead robot and then it rebooted on its own.
I have a Verizon S4
4.2.2,
Rooted
SCH-1545 VRUAME7.
stock ROM.
thanks
