It just arrived today with play store installed and no Chinese stuff.
redmi note 3 pro 32gb version snapdragon
Would love it if was official for the updates
ANDROID VERSION
5.1..1 LMY47V
MIUI Version
MIUI Global 7.9 stable 7.91.8.0(LHOMICL)
It's definitely unofficial ROM flashed by the reseller.
Flash Global Stable ROM using edl mode.
Sent from my kenzo using XDA-Developers mobile app
I had 7.1.99.99 on mine, which is also a vendor ROM. Managed to install Global Stable 7.2.1.8, then got an OTA update to 7.2.3.0, but I can't switch to Global Dev, nor to China Stable or China Dev.
I also unlocked the bootloader when I installed 7.1.8.0, but now it seems to be locked again. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You cant flash China Dev/Stable because they are different from global stable...you could flash from global stable to global dev and vice versa...but make sure take backup and then factory reset and then flash the rom..Do at your own risk you can dload from http://en.miui.com/download-301.html make sure dload correct version
I don't see why I wouldn't be able. Still, I can't flash the global dev version, either. Why would that be?
How do I flash using edl mode?
I installed adb and turned on USB debugging.
I ran the adb reboot edl and my phone reset and a driver was installed. I feel like I am on the right track, but I don't know what the next step is.
dear all.
I have Indian Redmi Note 3 ( Snapdragon version, 3 gb 32GB), I am on stock MIUI Global StableVersion 7.2.5.0(LHOMIDA) . I want to flash Global Developer ROM on this .
I have a few queries
Q.1- Can I directly flash global developer ROM through Updater App without any boot loader unlocked issue or should I unlock the boot loader first?
Q.2 How can I flash Chinese ROM? The reason behind this is that Chinese version supports CDMA data facility which is missing in my global stable version at present I am using TATA cdma SIM in SIM slot 1, wherein voice call and sms works without any problem but data is not working probably because MEID is missing in global ROM ,so i guess that Chinese ROM will solve this issue. )
kindly help
warm regards
ankjain
With regards to your first query..You should go with the official way of unlocking bootloader thought it takes time ..some people who did the unofficial unlocking method ended up bricking their phones..I unlocked it officially then flashed twrp and flashed global dev rom
@vish9180- thanks mate. Is it necessary to unlock it?
Happy to help..It is...I didn't want to run the risk of bricking it like the other guys...so I went the official route...took me 4 days ..since I'm some what active on miui forum..participate in miui forum and they'll clear your unlock request faster.
I am not able to use wifi after trying to upgrade from global to developer rom please help me
Note i was unsuccessful to go on devoper rom with mi global rom yet but wifi stop working
Hello dear friends,
I have buyed a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with global rom. I will install dutch language, but cannot find a good rom. Can you help me please? I have also problem with the sim tray. The phone recognize both sim cards, but doesnt have service. Please help. I live in the Netherlands.
The ROMs from xiaomi.eu have Dutch language in-built as far as I know. Here is the link to their Weekly ROMs - https://xiaomi.eu/community/link-forums/roms-download.73/
As for the SIM card issue, have you checked if your operator's bands are supported by the phone or not?

That looks like an official rom. Have you checked your APN settings for your network?

For xiaomi.eu roms, you need to unlock your bootloader officially and flash the rom through TWRP.

I have an unlocked bootloader and TRWP, but cannot install an EU rom, can you help me with that?
@dlkrsn42 First take backup, because flashing xiaomi.eu rom will require a wipe of data.
Put the xiaomi.eu rom zip (intact not extracted) on your external sdcard.
Boot TWRP.
Wipe Data and cache Partitions
Select Install and choose the xiaomi.eu rom zip (from sdcard).
Swipe to Install
Reboot

I tried, but it doesnt work good. It gets bootloop
@dlkrsn42 First boot of the rom, can take 15 to 20 mins.
What version of TWRP are you using? Try the official version: - https://twrp.me/devices/redminote3.htm
Did you download the correct version of the rom for kenzo?
Did you check the MD5 of the rom, to make sure it wasn't corrupted in the download.
Your bootloader might have been locked again by the flash, so you will have to unlock it again using MIunlock tool!

sure you didn't need it if you coming from official miui either global or china version, then switch into eu rom.
different story if you coming from cm/aosp rom. eu rom will locked your bootloader even officially unlock, this happened to me once. after flashing eu rom from cm, i directly reboot it. guess what, stuck at mi logo & fastboot mode. checked my bl, it's locked again and should be unlocked.
will be more safe if you suggest to flash it after rom due to we didn't know those ppl coming from miui/cm/aosp and which twrp used.

Yes, but i gonna delet it from there, nobody gives reply. In meanwhile i have did a research and find the problem (i think). Ik have flashed my Phone to an Global rom (kenzo), but i need to install the global rom version for redmi note 3 special edition (kate). I have find this update package, but cannot not install it. I have asked permission to xiaomi to unlock my bootlaoder (officialy), i hope to get a postive answer and after that, i actualy dont know how to update my Phone with the Kate rom.
You know how i can do this? Or somebody else whos reading this. Please help me
@abihary First thing i did when I got my device was to flash global dev, to unlock. And flashed xiaomi.eu rom. Didn't need to patch boot. Have updated by dirty flashing about 11 weekly roms and didn't encounter any problems.
If your device has been on CM firmware, then you probably need to flash official roms first before flashing xiaomi.eu rom and would need the lazy flasher.
Xiaomi.eu Marshmallow roms cause the bootloader lock if coming from lollipop.
@dlkrsn42 "Kate" Model doesn't have an xiaomi.eu rom (probably never will due to only official global roms for it).
No wonder your device boot-looped when flashed with a "Kenzo" rom.
The rom you listed earlier was for "Kenzo"

If you do have the "Kenzo" and unlocked unofficially, there was extract steps required to successfully flash xiaomi.eu rom.
See here.
Edit: It is advised to be officially unlocked for xiaomi.eu marshmallow roms
If you have "Kate" check here to flash an official rom by EDL. Doesn't need to be unlocked to do so. But use a fastboot rom.
Out of curiosity while in fastboot mode, what does the following report?
Code:
fastboot getvar product

Hello, thanks for the information. The fastboot getvar product code results in Kenzo. I will tell you short my situation:
I and my friend have orderd the xiaomi redmi note 3 (snapdragon). I had installed everything but with a reason i dont know my phone doesnt accepted the lockscreen pin. This is the pin i used several years on different phones, so my phone was not able to use. I have did a research and found fastboot and fastboot roms for Kenzo. I have did this and know i have problems with my simcard (no service) and camera that doesnt work.
i asked my friend to send me a screen shot of his "about phone" menu (we both got the same phones). His phones shows this: "MIUI Global | 7.5 Stable 7.5.2.0 (MHRMIDE)" and my phone shows now (after update) "MIUI Global 8.0 | Stable 8.0.5.0(LHOMIDG)". I did an research on his version (MHRMIDE) and find the international version (Kate). Well i have buyed that phone also, sow i am thinking that my phone now doesnt support my provider (but i dont know why camera doesnt work..). Sow i am now out of options. I have find an tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TufbuneNl4) to install MHRMIDE rom from TWRP recovery. On the youtube movie its going all good, but not when i try it. Can it be because o dont have official unlocked bootloader?(i am still waiting on an sms from Xiaomi). And everything was working very fine when i received the phone.
I will very happy of someone can help me to fix it. Can it something with baseband or kernel? I am not an expert like you guys... I hope this story is clear and understandable..
@dlkrsn42 If you and your friend have exactly the same phone and it is the same size.
Then if you flashed a "kenzo" rom onto a "Kate" model, It is probably incorrectly telling the wrong product version in fastboot.
That would also explain why your not getting no service as the kate has different modem firmware.
As I suggested earlier you will need to flash a Fastboot rom for "kate" in EDL mode, can be done without unlocking the bootloader.
Edit: The video you linked is a guide to put the "Kate" rom on a "Kenzo" and is not recommended because it won't unlock the extra bands.

Hello, thanks for fast response. Well ı tried to flash a kate rom, but it doesnt work. Do you have any idea what i can do? Because when i ordered the phone, it is selled as an international phone amd it was also working good till i have flashed a kenzo rom.
Have you tried the EDL Mode method with a fastboot rom.
Here are instructions for that method, just make sure you use Special Edition Fastboot rom.
I find that the sim isn't recognized when booted up. You need to enter airplane mode then deactivate it for the phone to register the sim

I have Mido SD 32/3GB on MIUI 8.2.10.0.0.
When I check for updates in Updater app it gives me no update, and on MI site download page for Redmi Note 4X global there are 8.5.4.0 version. I have manualy downloaded 8.5.4.0 update and put it in internal and external memory and tryed "choose update package" option.Nothing,MIUI says "can't verify update.current version is illegal, only allowed to flash stable version".I have tried MIUI 9 7.8.24...same thing. The fone is all stock. But the bootloader is factory unlocked.
Anybody has solution??? Thanks.

Hey man, you have a Fake/tampered Rom
Take a look at this:
http://en.miui.com/thread-392159-1-1.html
For stable rom , needed about 3 decimal points. Not more than that
You need to use MIFLASH tool to flash the original rom. Make sure to unlock bootloader first (i think its already unlock thou).
Flashing guide:
http://en.miui.com/thread-565784-1-1.html
Thanks,I was thinking about using MIFLASH.
Yes, bootloader is (factory ??? ) unlocked.I buy it like that.
(why would seler temper with ROM? my Mido is chinese 2016101 and I live in Serbia/East Europe.couldn,t they just flash Global rom.I buy from them Redmi 4a for my wife, and it was OK.Updated fine to latest ROM.)
Didn't know about 3 decimal rom rule.

Xiaomi have no official retail stores yet (except at India thou) so they let those f*ck up resellers to buy their phones and do whatever they want to sell it.
If the reseller bought those phones directly from China with chinese miui rom , tendency it will modified to english with playstore installed.
Sorry for that lol ,
Now try miflash if it works :fingers-crossed:
MIFLASH did the trick. I'm now on 8.5.4.0.
How to know the bootloader is lock or unlock?
And is there any tutorial i can follow on how to install rom from fake to official?

To flash an official ROM (stable or developer, chinese or global) over an unofficial one, you need an unlock bootloader and follow this guide.
If you are using an unofficial ROM, like those fake MIUI ROMs (bad) or Xiaomi.eu ROMs (better than official), you have already an unlocked bootloader.
