Check to see if your bootloader has been relocked. If it has, unlock it.

I Need Help !!!

Hi guys, I need Your urgent help I am on a Nought based ROM Citrus CAf 7.1.1 on my Xiaomi RedmiNote 3 snapdragon Now I want to go back to MIUI 8 I had a nandroid backup but whenever I get to recover it it gets struck on mi logo. I am able to flash other Roms without a struck . I am thinking to flash full MIUI global stable ROM but I m afraid that I will get a loop again. And if a flash full stable ROM my bootloader will get locked and twrp recovery gone and thus I will not be able to flash anything if my phone gets struck on mi logo then how will I be able to unlock my devices bootloader?
So guys what should I do ??
Should I stop thinking of going back to MIUI 8
Or is there a way
Thanks in advance
You can go back to MIUI Rom by flashing MIUI stock Rom via EDL Mode using MI Flash tool. And if your bootloader gets locked you can unlock it again using unlocker tool (only if you have unlocked bootloader officially). I've flashed many customs rom and revert back to MIUI by same process. Hope this will help you.

You won't be stuck in MI logo if you flash Rom Via EDL mode.

Flashed the rom and phone is not booting [only mi logo displays] help!

I was on nitrogen N rom. Then I wiped the data, cache etc and flashed latest firmware and then flashed the Viper os and gapps. Then booted the phone to os. But it just blinks the mi logo. Even when I try to go to recovery, only mi logo blinks.
Phone is not even charging.
Only Fastboot mode wrks. But that too phone is not detecting in laptop on windows 10.
Kindly help me.
Your phone has been soft bricked and there is nothing to panic about this happens while flashing the roms as sometimes the flashing process is not done successfully or executed successfully ..So the solution for this is to flash the fastboot rom using the mi flash tool and to flash the this rom you need to open fastboot mode and then the edl mode..in this edl mode the phone will be detected by the mi flash tool and the flashing would be done ..
Refer this link for the process

Hope this solves your problem

Probably because you had an unofficially unlocked bootloader and because you flashed lastest firmware it is locked now. If i am right about your problem then the following is the easiest way out.

No.. Unlocked the bootloader officially. When I flashed the firmware, it might have relocked the bootloader again. And also cudnt open recovery. Either way, it just blinks the MI logo and power off.
When I tried to unlock the bootloader again officially, it stucks at 50%.
Dono wat to do exactly now.
P. S. Tried that method in that thread link you gave. It shown as success in the flash tool. Den tried to flash TWRP in fastboot, it shown as failed.

Yes, you can flash stock firmware in edl mode when bootloader is locked. And you need to unlock bootloader If you need twrp to install custom rom.

This way always works for me. Did you tried flashing twrp again? Maybe you can try once more. Or you might have done something wrong. Bdw can you tell me what exactly it showed when you tried flashing twrp??

I can tell you how to check if a particular firmware will lock it. Download the zip and check if it has emmc.appsboot.mbn file. If it is there then your bl will get locked.
To flash the firmware without getting locked, you need to remove that file from the zip. You can do that with any zip app. Just select it and delete, and flash the zip?.
PS: All the above is only if you have unlocked unofficially. Else any firmware will do. Just be sure to get the latest one.

Get a custom recovery to wipe all partitions out. There might be an easy way out but you'd want to prefer a clean flash after this. And did you use EDL before unlocking?

hmm without unlocked bootloader I can't flash a custom recovery and there is no option to flash a custom recovery using another method(so I used EDL method),

I used EDL because I there was no way to flash ROM on my phone!
THANKS, BRO!
SOMEONE RESPONDED!:good:

That is quite a bad state that you have gotten yourself into. If you can reboot into bootloader, you can wipe every partition and flash a fastboot image of MIUI ROM to get it back to work. Remember to be specific about IMG files as they can make/break your system. You have a soft brick now but selecting a wrong IMG file can result a hard brick.
Any Updates ?

Is my poco dead?

Hello,
I might've f-ed up badly. I flashed something wrong with the firmware and then my touch wasnt working in twrp recovery. I tought maybe locking my bootloader through fastboot would fix something but obviously it didn't.
Now when i try to unlock the bootloader again, it says "Token verify failed".
So at the moment, i cant get into recovery, nor can i boot the device. When i try to boot, it says "The system has been destroyed, Press power button to shutdown"
Before this, i was using LOS 16.
Is there anything i can do?
I had this also after flashing the firmware from xiaomi firmware update not vendor-firmware from akhilnarang although I was not able to fix this issue on twrp I found out that touch comes back in twrp if you leave if up for 5-30 seconds, hope this helps also hit me up if you find an actual fix to this touch delay issue
Can you run fastboot on device? If so flash twrp that way to device.
If bootloader is locked right now that won't work. Only way would be to use Mi flash and download official firmware and flash it using Mi flash.
After that you can re-apply for unlock.

i can't even get in twrp now. Says system is destroyed. Only Fastboot accessable and bootloader is locked.

Edit: But doesn't miflash tool only work for unlocked bootloader? When i try to flash MIUI 10 8.11.15 Global Android Pie 9.0 Fastboot , it says erase boot error.
Edit 2: Just unlocked my bootloader through miunlock. Currently flashing miui through miflash.
Thanks for saving my dumb ass. Looks like i fixed it.

[SOLVED] I need help with my "cactus".

Hey. I just got back my Redmi 6A, from my experimenting old brother, and I found out he managed to wipe both system and recovery, with LOCKED bootloader. I would probably just unlock the bootloader and re-flash it, but I have no idea what Mi account I'm using on it.
I've also tried re-flashing it through Mi flash tool, but it doesn't seem to work, or at least for me. Can I reflash stock rom using Fastboot, even though bootloader is locked? And if I can't, is there any other solution? I'd really appreciate your help, thank you.
brom mode with sp flash tool is worth a try. but handling the tool is not easy
