Which android s905x to pick? (sunvell t95x vs mini m8s -1gb ram) - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

Hi,
I was looking into getting an android tv box , just to watch media content and was looking at the ones with (from what i gathered) new chip from amlog, the s905x.
Im considering the sunvell t95x 1GB ram or the the mini m8s 1gb ram. There is a tiny bit difference price, but it isn't much.
Im just wondering, which one would be a better choice? Or are they pretty much the same? My main concern is community support and which one is better suported/has larger community because i do value that and i doubt we get more (or better) support from manufactures then we do from the community like we have here.
Thanks

[Q] Need Help, Which Android tablet is better?

I am looking for a tablet for my family member but as there are many models with different features and sometime they overlap each other. Also price is a concern as I have budget of up to $160 (+/- $10).
As I search on net for tablets, lot of Chinese tablet came up with the price around my budget and many less than that. I summed up my search to Ainol tablets including Ainol Venus and Discover. But as I read the reviews regarding both tabs as well as other Ainol tabs, it seem as there is falling trend of quality or maybe they had such experience from having Ainol tablets.
So it would be very helpful if someone guide me in choosing a tablet from Ainol Venus or Discover or maybe better than both within my budget. Also there's another tab, Pipo S3 tablet as it is Dual Core whereas the above tabs are Quad Core. This is the another factor which made me confuse to decide for a tab. Either should I go for Dual Core or Quad Core? Please guide.
Tab with these features would be better:
7 or 8 inch, IPS screen would be plus, 16:9 screen ratio would be better, 1 GB or 2 GB DDRam, 16 GB internal memory, no GSM/3G required, bluetooth would be plus, dual camera (regardless of megapixels), Android 4.1/4.2, HDMI output, OTG port
Thanks in advance.

Android + Windows dual-boot tablet with 5 GHz WiFi?

And root support pretty please? Damn cheapskate Chinese and capitalist Google/Microsoft.
I've read about Teclast X10 supporting dual band, but not from reliable sources. Can any actual owners comments on that?
*Oh and don't skimp on the microSD and micro HDMI (not mini, sorry camera lovers) support. Heck add USB-C since I'm probably dreaming or something.

TV Box with Amlogic S912

So far, how many tv box with Amlogic S912 can you find? which are you think of the best tv box with s912?
Hi,
I'd like to test the new S912 chip. I'm struggeling between Nexbox A1, T95Z Plus and R-Box Pro. It seems that the R-Box Pro is currently the only box, where you can choose between 2 GB and 3 GB Ram. So that's my favorite so far... I'm not sure, if you really have an advantage of the 1GB additional memory, but for only 8-10 USD/EUR more I would take the version with higher memory.
Regards,
Jim

Both of the above around 70 dollars each
Ahh, now we see the difference
You ask for an ANDROID TV but in fact you are looking for an Android TV BOX - big difference!
In case I got this right:
IMHO there is little to no difference between the various boxes.
Comes down to what the firmware can provide as the hardware is next to identical.
Sure, a new DDR4 box will load much faster and might be a better choise for gaming...
But for watching videos it matters more what TV you have and what you do with it.
For 4K content and DRM stuff you should check first if the box really supports it.
4K in Youtube and Netflix usually only works if Android TV is installed but won't always work in 4k on a normal box.
And of course if you need Bluetooth (game controller, phone pairing...) then you should look for those having BT4 and dual WiFi.
I have the X96 that I only got because I saw little support for it and wanted to try some modding on my own.
Quite happy with it but it has no BT.
Got the Yundoo Y8 a few days ago and although it is fast and has BT I am not really impressed by it.
There is no DRM support that is worth to mention, not even Widewine.
3D gaming performance is, for what I can see, neither better nor much faster than on the S905X.
I suggest to check what you really need in hardware, then check which boxes in that field are supported by the modding community.
Beelink, Mecool, VIM, just to name a few.
Android Nougat is overrated IMHO too.
So far no manufacturer produced a Marshmallow rom that had no annoying flaws, even if it is just the messed up keyboard support.
Android7 brings more problems for the modding and so far only half cooked solutions are hitting the market
Unless you love to tinker with firmware a lot I suggest to stick to Android6 for now.
Beelink GT1 Ultimate !!!
Just ordered to my nephew from AliExpress. The Price is below 60$ and the Beelink firm is well known.
It has 3G RAM and Memory of 32G. The processor is Amlogic S912 Octa Core CPU DDR4. In other words it's a beast for that price.
Enjoy,

H3Q44_V4.0 Custom Rom and Rooted???

I recently purchased a MXQ 4K Pro 5G Tv Box with lying specifications. Android 10.1 is actually the 7.1, 64GB of storage that real is 4GB. I would like to know if there is any custom Rom based on Oreo and Rooted for this PCB. Your Wifi Chip is the SV6256P. Unfortunately I only found it for Rockchip and alesses are not for me. The performance of this Android on this Tv Box sucks.
if you want a box that can have custom roms buy a box with an AMLogic SoC (preferably on android 9). go take a look in that forum and despair... we all bought the wrong boxes if we want that kind of stuff. they have everything we don't. on the plus side they're fairly cheap..
in relation to your question, it's not likely. if the total memory is accurate at 4GB there's virtually nothing left for the user/media storage. there's virtually nothing out there for allwinner chips never mind ones being sold with fraudulent specifications.
