Fingerprint support - Xiaomi Redmi 3 Questions & Answers

Hello, does anyone know if there are any roms for Redmi 3 Pro that support fingerprint scanner? Not asking about MiUI-based roms.
Now I'm gonna go mediate... or masturbate... or maybe both

For now any roms doesn't support fingerprint... but we have a inicial release in progress... i hope very soon we have fingerprint support for redmi 3 pro!

cm13 does support but its a test build.i have used it nad fingerprint is working excellently but there seems to be some battery drain issue in standby mode.when /anik the dev of cm 13 fixes that issue he will soon realease a public version for sharing here so stay tune for that day

Can't chose which ROM to use

Hi everyone ,I really need your opinion about which system is the best system , I can't chose between Miui and lineage .

We can't tell it to you, because it depends of you. I don't know what you like, and what you prefer. These systems are very good, but very different. The only thing I can tell is: try both and decide.
I would go for resurrection. Great customization and almost every day updates... I'm using it since 6 months with radon kernel. It's awesome and rock solid. You wouldn't regret it.
Somebody just made a paranoid android rom for our phone, but it isn't stable yet. Resurrection is kinda going back and from not being stable and stable. Los has been stable for some time now, nitrogen os and aosp are some other stable roms.

I see it depends on me , but each has some good features. Miui is rich for features but android 6 ! Too old for me .Miui has great camera and beauty mode is very good, Miui also has a vivid UI . in the other side i want Vulcan API for gaming . that's why i can't choice

miui lacks smartlock which is a huge dealbreaker for me. i compared camera quality by myself... for me the quality is the same but miui camera app is way nicer. in daily usage resurrection feels way more fluid to me ... well try by yourself. u can flash miui or exiaomi.eu rom anytime and switch to resurrection rom.
Ressurection Remix lacks Night Mode, for me in NitrogenOS Google Assistant was not working. After many ROMs I settled on AOSiP.
Yep, Aosip 5.9 with Franco kernel best combination right now for me. Good performance and at the same time getting 7+ hrs of SOT.

Stable Rom with good battery life

What would you guys recommend for most stable and battery life? I'm currently on PureNexus with franco kernel, seems to be very stable for the past few months. Not sure if there are better options for both battery/stability, any recommendations?
A bonus would be if it works with the HDR apk here: Google Camera HDR, currently with above rom and kernel it can't run and keeps crashing.
Thanks!

I am using Nexus Experience ROM 11.1 with Radon. The app works perfectly too. You can try it.

I don't think it's an issue with radon, but my phone doesn't seem to work well with it. I can't remember the exact issue I had but something along the lines of phone crashing. Somehow no other users had the same issue so I just stuck to another kernel. I could give it a try again though.
Thanks for the recommendation!

Use franco or nexus experience stock kernel. The stock kernel works well too. But the ROM is fantastic.

I suggest u to use cosmic os..there r not many users..but it one of the smoothest n stable ROM I have ever seen...camera quality is quite comparable to miui...this ROM has zero ui glitches.. If u want customisation then there r bunch of customisation which r useful unlike creepy unwanted features found on other ROM(RR ROM)..its based on caf..so the battery life is excellent... Its has color engine feature of aospa ROM..plzz do try this ROM...its excellent...u ll b shocked by the performance
Cosmic os

MIUI 9 with M will be a complete waste. I don't know why they would even do that. Hopefully someone can port it.

Best Oreo Rom

Which is the best oreo rom for redmi note 4? With no bugs, lots of customisation good battery life and ram management...
Please reply...Thankss...
Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk
I'm Vote for Cardinal
If you want more customisations then go for Cardinal otherwise Pixel experience is best. Personally I'm using pixel and miui epic with dual patcher.
Is pip working in cardinal? What are your views on aosp extended and liquid remix?
Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk
None of the oreo roms are completely stable. There are some niggling issues everywhere. You should stick with nougat if you have low tolerance for bugs, big or small.
Having said that, I have personally liked the performance of omni and liquid remix. I'm currently using omni oreo.
You should move this discussion elsewhere. Right now you are in development zone.

You wouldn't get customization like RR in oreo for now. Maybe try liquid remix, it has fair amount of customizations and nikhil's kernel has a good combination of battery and performance

So far Cardinal with Velvet Kernel worked best for me. Great survivability (up to 3 days) and smooth performance. Love it <3

I didn't test PiP, but I've seen people saying it works (requires YT Red tho). No bugs so far. I use all kinds of mods like Xposed modules (Gbox etc.), XTREMEmusic by androidexpert and all of them work flawlessly.
I'm currently using aex nougat but the problem is that it's lagging and battery backup is not upto the mark I'm getting 7hrs sot hardly....
Please suggest which rom should i try...
My requirements are smooth experience better battery life and lots of customisation...
Doesn't matter oreo or nougat...
