G2 dead wont boot..... charging(sometimes visible sometimes not ) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey,
this is my first post in xda forums
i bought this g2 6 months ago (my cousin bought it for me because i was in a hurry and i regret it) and the phone seemed d802 but 3 days later the wifi broke and when i removed the back cover the phone was ls980 and the ROM it had was d802's i mean completely d802 on the outside and ls980 on the inside and up until now it gets stuck at a turning WiFi on and i have to delete the /phone/data/misc/wifi folder to shut it down(and continue my life without WiFi) .so the WiFi broke,a white spot came on the screen and yesterday while i was browsing(i use mobile network data) the phone just went dead the charging was 61% .
Today i tried to plug in a charger and it starts charging.......... for like 2-3 minutes it was on 0% then 2 and 3 and 4 i tried to turn it on the LG logo came and then again dead. After a while i tried to turn it on again in recovery menu but the LED went red and it kept going onto the Lg logo and dead for many times as long as i tried to turn it on using Vol Down key and Power Key.When i stopped trying to get into the recovery menu it did boot up.Lock screen came up i plugged it into my PC and as soon as i tried to open the storage it went dead again.
#i have tried loading into download menu but nothing works the phone is dead since then................... now charging it with wall charger or PC don't help either.
#the phone was rooted with Kingoroot.
#the ROM was some d802 one despite the fact it was a ls980 i don't know how it works.
#after everything i could do i went to a repair shop and he says the bootloader(i don't understand it either i mean if he was just saying this rhetoric thing for money) is broken .So i thought why not give it a shot.... fix the sucker myself
i like to learn a lot so any complex/simple solution will be tried .

For now are you stuck at boot logo??? If yes, than we can workout. If NO it is expected that it may be HARD BRICK. Do reply with answer.

TMobile PDA Phone keeps restarting and wont charge

It was unlocked and working perfect until the battery went completely dead and wasnt charged back up for a week. After pluging in the charger I was unable to do a complete charge as the pda keeps starting up. It runs for about a minute or two then restarts and boots back up, the cycle continues with no end. I got to work for about 10 ten minutes, the phone worked, the charger was active in the battery option menu, but then it started all over again. I've reflashed and changed roms. The amber charge light does appear. Also hard reset doesnt work. Please help, bought the phone used but only got to enjoy it for a day.!
It maybe the battery is banjaxed, I have seen similar behaviour with an ipaq and a defunct battery.
if not its board memory
if im right yourin big trouble u have to replace the whole main boards .. i hope im wrong it juist bthe battery.
good luck bro

[Q] Dead device? please help..

Hi all, i got my Galaxy S2 about a year ago (9100 normal, non AT&T or verizon or another else ) and i never encountered problem like this. One day i was texting on the toilet, and unfortunately it fell down on a bowl of water and its all soaked. I just turn it of and take out the battery, when i turn on it again, the start mode triggers, the icon Samsung igt 9100 is showing up and it keeps blinking and blinking, bootlooping. many of my friend said that it is fine and just wait for the water inside the machine to dry up, like one week or so. but after one day i tried to turn it on, the yellow triangle below the 9100 logo is gone ( i think its resetted and everything is gone ) and it went to download mode. But after that, i was not careful enough and my battery fell off, and the phone is turned off dead. and after all of that, i can't even turn on the phone, nothing happened, its like a dead phone without battery.
i went to many forums and many people tried to fix it using the download mode USB jig recovery kit, i bought the i9100 USB jig on the eBay, its arrived today. I tried to plug in on my phone, and i try to turn it on and even every boot method ( download mode, and recovery mode ) and holding the power, still nothing happens. what should i do...?? does that means my cellphone is dead forever? :crying::crying:
You should have put it in a bowl of dry rice for a couple of days to completely dry it out. I think you turned on your phone too soon with the risk of having it f**cked for good.
You seem more accident prone than Mr Bean.
Stick it on eBay

when i plugged it into my pc, it works, it says that device is not recognized but it still shows, i think it might be some hope, can somebody help me
Unfortunately it is dead, because you did not wait til it dryed out before starting. You fried the flash chip which contains the information for the phone to run.
Only way to fix it is to replace the motherboard. Which means it becomes a new phone with different IMEI.

plug in the charger and let it charge for few hours. You should have left the phone to dry before switching on

will it cost much?
I doubt there's anyone here who can tell you how much. That will depend on how much parts & labour are in your country. Send it in & find out.

Has my GT-I8552 bricked??

As the title suggests, I can't make my Samsung GT-I8552 Galaxy Quattro to work.
Following are the symptoms:
1. It doesn't Boot at all.
2. It doesn't enter recovery mode.
3. It doesn't enter download mode.
4. It doesn't show battery status as charging when plugged to a power adapter
5. It shows a Samsung logo along with a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark below for some miliseconds and immediately screen goes blank for infinite time.
6. It was rooted using CWM recovery a long time ago (somewhere in December 2014), was working fine since then.
7. I was on a call with around 30% battery remaining when it suddenly switched off.
8. 5 different repair centers gave up on the phone, NO problem identification made by anyone.
9. After 44days of silence, it sprang back to life again when I once plugged it in randomly(wasn't expecting this).
10. After 2 days of service, it stopped back again(Superuser was running at that time, FYI).
11. Battery staus is fine, it holds charge and I can light up a LED(constant glow) from it as an assurance.
12. The power connectors at phone end are also working(The LED blinks when connected to LH and RH extreme power pins at phone).
This is ALL that I can tell you about the phone.
All symptoms look like the phone has bricked. But I have got 2 reasons that make me feel it hasn't(apart from the fact that I WISH it hasn't ). They are:
1. Rooting was done a long time ago. There was no reason for phone to brick all of a sudden. Besides, I was on a call at the time my phone witched off, and the battery was still remaining.
2. The phone worked for 2 days after being dead for 44 days. The fact that it worked even after being dead for 44 days makes me believe bricking is not the case at hand.
But what is it, I don't know.
A plea to all the knowledgeable/experienced guys, Please help!
Thanks,
manutss.
Never heard or seen such behavior shown by a fone....I think its a problem in hardware....get its motherboard checked... Might be a problem in internel circuit...
Its a bit scary ...

Maybe you have a memory flash problem ( could be or not)
How to check this:
Install Samsung drivers and Kies app in your PC / laptop
Turn on device and connect your device in USB port
If it's not regonized, your memory flash is dead or stuck
go to a technical assistance that has "professional box installer" to test a forced installation in adb mode
Well, since the device has already been rooted, Kies should have stopped detecting it the moment root access was achieved.
Is that right or am I mistaken (actually Kies doesn't detect it as of now) but I don't remember exactly if it did after I rooted my phone. I think it didn't.
BTW, is the solution you offered available with any mobile repair shop or only the service centres?
Thanks,

Android noob desperatley needs help resurrecting his tablet

So last week I was messing around with SP Flash tool and tried to flash my phone's stock rom which I finally found on the internet because I have a uncommon model. So after flashing everything went ok, except for the fact that my phone refused to power on, I would plug it into a power source and it would tell me it's charging but refuse to power on, until now I thought the power button broke coincidentally. But, 10 mins ago I decided to mess around even more and did the same thing to my new perfectly working non-rooted tablet (for which I also installed usb drivers and got stock flash files). So here's what I did, it was out of batter and it powered down, so I plugged it into my laptop and I got the sound that it was detected. I opened Flash tools and went into memory test just to see if I got the same results as I did on my phone, I got an error that I have no idea what it said but basically I think it said it didn't detect my device and I should format it or something. So i plugged it out and it refused to turn on. I plugged it into AC charging and nothing happened, I pulled it in and out and tried to power it on but nothing is happening...
Can someone please help me, my tablet still has warranty so I can take it to the store and get it fixed, but I know now that my phone isn't broken physically. Any way, if I can get clear instructions on how to fix my tablet and or phone I would be grateful.
My phone is an Alcatel 4030x (running Android 4.1) and my tablet is a Lenovo Tab 2 A7-10 (running Android 5)
P.S - my tablet does not have a removable battery
first of all, your tablet is not under Warranty anymore as you have already tried to Flash a custom rom and it got damaged.
and now, the only thing is to do is give your phone to service center.

Actually, it's fine now, I have no idea what I did or what it was doing. But it was at 1% battery last night so I just left it overnight and when I woke up in the morning I plugged it into a charger and it was working and is completely fine now.
its great then

LG L9 P769 Wont Boot up?

My lg l9 wont boot up all the way. I believe it is fully up as i can feel the vibrating that happens after a media scan and i can hear the phone receiving notifications of some sort but the carrier (Metro PCS) screen constantly up!?
Things Ive tried:
Taking out the battery
Fully draining then fully recharging the battery
Taking out the SD and sim card
Leaving the battery sit outside the phone for about an hour then back in the phone
Using a new battery (The one I was using when it started having problems id only about 6 months old although I've had the phone for about 2 years now. )
I am willing to try anything but a hard reset as I do not want to lose anything on my device
Please Help
Edit: 10 min later: Talked to a "phone guy" who attempted the hard reset and said that the ROM prompts never even showed up. Says there's nothing I can do but get a new phone. I refuse to accept that XD
Edit 2: 20 min later: I tried the reset and saw the android thing and now its flashing on the metro PCS screen
Edit 3: 27 minutes later: The flashing stopped. Now the bottom keys are lit and the screen backlit but not displaying anything

I think I had this issue before actually. But it was a long time ago and Ive forgotten how I fixed it. Step one though is to try and use the LG Mobile support tool or KDZ flashing your choice.
