Hi Guys
I'm a noob in this but i wanted to install another ROM on my max 2.
So i wiped the data and then copied the new update.zip to the root directory.
Now if i want to install it the update or installation fails and says "cant mount /cust".
So i think the phone is not able to mount the partition called /cust. What do i have to do to get it work?
The phone has now no OS installed on it and i'm not able to install it or get it started
Thanks your any reply. Hope i get i work with your assistance
best regards, Chris
I'm able to communicate with adb and go into recovery mode...but dont know how to make a fully installation or to get the os installed...
Hi, I had long time ago a problem with this. It's because of TWRP that you have. If you would install the modified one, you wouldn't have this problem. See here

Thanks now i was able to get it work !

:crying::crying:
Can't boot.
Today i flashed AndrWook 2.1 and set it to wipe my internal SD but it couldnt boot. I used a lot of time to push another ROM to the device but with no luck.
used WSG Unbricker to try save it (i had recovery before i used it) I formatted everything and tried repair it with the complete unbricker options but that didn't work. I dont know but it looks like it just cancels when i try do it. So i tried manually flash the /boot /system and /recovery from wsg unbricker using fastboot. Now i can't get any recovery installed
My internal SD is formatted. I can't get to recovery and i can flash a new one using fastboot but i dont have a option to boot into it. I have only bootloader now with the 2 options: Wipe data and USB protonol (fastboot)
So now im screwed I'm shaking all over and panic! I really hope someone can help me
EDIT:
If i install the ASUS .28 firmware again from http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=20&s=16&m=Eee+Pad+Transformer+Prime+TF201&os=32 will i then boot? Or will it hardbrick it?

Hey I managed to fix my problem by installing the universal drivers provided by 1wayjonny re installing twrp and pushing the rom via adb whilst booted into the recovery.

I had the same problem as well using TWRP. I fixed it by installing the naked drivers as well, adb push sdwipe then flashing the zip. Then I adb pushed the ROM again reflashed then all is well now.

Which version of the phone do you have? Sounds like the INTL one to me. You can still follow my tut here to get your rom and gapp's on your phone to flash.
Good luck
Maybe a silly question, but, do you have the windows drivers installed for the phone?

Thank you for the quick reply.
I managed to make it work.
Basically it seems like the phone takes time to get recognised by my system, is this normal?
After mounting the usb storage from recover and plugging the usb, when I used adb push, it says device not found.
After a minute, I used the command line again and it worked.
I pushed both the rom and gapps.zip file and installled them and now it's working.
My question now is: I had apps, messages, calls and contacts - is it possible to get them from the backup as well as keep this rom that I've just installed?
PS : is not connecting to the wifi, stating that there are authentication problem, is this normal?
Thank you
Can someone tell me if the wifi connection is an issue with this phone when intalling the rom mentioned earlier.
I had apps and other stuff on my phone, I can still see their respective folders, can I restore my apps back?
ps: I made a full backup of my official rom, I wanted to restore it back and this is what I've done:
Wiped system,dalvik,cache and factory
then restored all three partitions of my backup.
It turns on but it keeps hanging on the htc one logo
what can I do in this case?
Thank you

I could be completely wrong but you might have to flashed the boot.img from your backup? did you flash a boot.img from a custom rom? TWRP won't flash boot.img properly so it has to be done in the bootloader.
Hope this sheds some light on your issue
Cheers!
When we make the backup, TWRP doesn't create a boot image file,at least not explicitly.
The file with the name "boot" have md5 and win extension.
I thought the same thing, that probably I need to flash the boot.image file as I did flash a custom boot before installing cm10.
So where is the boot.img file for my stock? how can I extract it?
Hello, All.
It seems I'm pretty close to bricking this thing so I thought I would ask you guys for help.
I'm not that experienced with this kind of stuff, but I was able to unlock my bootloader, and installed a custom recovery TWRP, using the Droid_Incredible_4G_LTE_All-In-One_Kit_v2.1 from hasoon2000,
It won't let me install a rom to the device. Been having some trouble with ADB as well. Seems like it won't recognize the phone when it's on the bootloader menu, but it will when it's in recovery mode. So using ADB i pushed a rom file to the device while in recovery and was able to get it on the sd card, but when I try to load the rom using TWRP it gives me an error msg. I thought that I might have to get rid of the old OS first before loading a new one so now I don't have an OS at all.
I feel like I'm missing something here, like I skipped a step or something... do i need to flash the kernel, or relock the bootloader? Confused as to why I can't load up a rom.
Thanks in advance for any help. Much appreciated.

before flashing a rom you should go into the wipe menu of twrp and wipe everything. Then install the rom zip. What error are you getting when try to flash the rom?
Sorry for the late response. I guess I don't really check my email without a smartphone.
Ok so in TWRP I go into wipe, and do Cache - Successful! Davik Cache - Successful! System: Successful! Factory Reset - Failed (and in the list it says:
updating partition detail...
unable to mount '/sdcard' a buncha times.
Then if i try to install a rom from the sd card it says
Failed
Installing 'external_sd/rom.zip'...
checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found.
assert failed: write_raw_image('tmp/boot.img". "boot"
E:Error in /external_sd/rom.zip
)Status 7)
Error flashing zip 'external_sd/rom.zip'
Updating partition details...
E:Unable to mount '/sdcard'
E:Unable to mount '/sdcard'
I guess what makes no sense to me is that it can't mount the sd card. Does it need to be on the internal "sdcard" instead of the mini sd I have the file on? IDK so confused...
Thanks for you help.

Hi, Ok auto kill is good but i have a real problem... I like reminders app that Google Keep vs Evernote, but i don't can use. I set the reminder note for tomorrow and when time is coming, i don't have any notification/ remained... Help me please!
Hello, im facing an issue.
Ive made a rollback to 5.0.2 by this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/dell-venue/general/7840-succeed-to-unbrick-t3205024
But now when i want to go back to 5.1 i cant.
I cant install ota, even through CWM. Also there is no recovery, at least i cant get into it, when I press "Recovery mode" in bootloader it just rebooting back to bootloader. No changes, nothing.
But 5.0.2 working fine(just cant do factory reset)
Will be gratefull for any assisstance
You'll need the droidboot version that uses twrp instead of cwm. With that, installing the 5.1 update works just fine.
Sent from my Venue 8 7840 using XDA Free mobile app
Can you please share the link?
PS: How to fix stock recovery? any solution for this?

do you mind giving a bit more information?
What version of TWRP are you using?
Is the update on a sdcard or internal memory?
Can you export the error logs from twrp and post it to pastebin or sth like that?

don't use the update from this link. I don't want to say it's not working but at least for me it was the best (and simplest) option to boot up 5.0.1 after fresh installation and let the tablet download the 5.1 update by itself. After download is complete, it can be installed via TWRP-Recovery without problems.

Thanks, managed to flash 5.1 but still cant go inside stock recovery. Cant do factory reset...
Any ideas, how to fix this?
Hey guys,
I just tried to root my Acer Iconia One 10 B3-A20 (not A3-A20!!!) with Kingsroot and it kinda worked. I could grant root access to apps and modify some stuff, but unfortunately after debloating something went wrong and my tablet is in a bootloop. I performed a hardreset so I could start from the beginning. After completing the android set up I was thrown instantly to another bootloop. After some researches I tried to do the android set up but without the last step and I installed another launcher via playstore and email. Afterwards I could start and do whatever I want to do. Unluckily I'm again in an bootloop after I did a restart. I can't enter the android set up procedure anymore and can't install any apps from the playstore.
Right now I can do following:
- I can access the download mode and try to do something with adb, BUT I'm unauthorized and can't tick the USB debugging think as you can imagine
- Try to flash something via recovery, but untill now I could not flash anything
Does anybody have a suggestion? Stock recovery is still accessible, but somehow I can't flash anything.
Hope anybody can help me out.
Thanks in advance. Best Regards,
GerasVille
EDIT: It's solved and the thread can be closed.
Thanks to Shreps I could flash the stock firmware via stock recovery. Here is his post.

Hello, need help whith
I also had problems with kingroot, and decided to reset tablet "factory default".
The tablet would not start, loop on the logo. I saw this post, and download the "OS" official Acer ICONIA ACER ONE 10 B3-A20 and install it from a sd card and stock recovery.
Everything went well, the tablet starts asking me choose language, wifi network and login with google account I had before the reset. And here is the problem: I was not which account google it had before the reset, the tablet is 2nd hand and do not know how to solve this.
there any way you can skip this protection?
It is possible to flash a rom with spflash clean and able to put a new google account?
I'm bored to seek and find nothing.
Thanks in advance
