Custom rom:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/and...20a40-t3567812
Stock rom:
https://www.leakite.com/2016/12/leno...-firmware.html
SS means single sim and DS means dual sim obviously.

The second link seems to be broken. Here is the correct one - https://www.leakite.com/2016/12/lenovo-vibe-c-a2020a40-firmware.html

call to ####7777# than Rom 16Gb is back

I have Lenovo A2020A40. Two sim card slots. I think it's 8GB. It downloads a firmware called USR_S197_1707170945_Q8909 but installation gives an error. error in cache/recovery/block.map (status 7).
Can I download it from somewhere and update it manually?
Edit: I made an factory reset, I did wipe data thing but it shows apps that I think are from the previous owner like KingRoot, UC browser, Facebook. I'm sure they are not part of the package right? So how does one start from scratch here?
Edit 2: It shows system/bin/debuggerd has unexpected contents so I might need that file replaced, right? How is this done?

So you flashed a rom for a completely different device and expected it not to brick your phone?
Your best bet is to find the stock rom for you device and pray that it works. Don't hold out to hope though.
Also before flashing your device take a week and do your research. Flashing a device is not something done because it is cool. There are very real risks to it.

Lenovo P780 Complete WiPE OUT

Hi,
There is something wrong with my phone because of which it keeps restarting and even the battery symbol after putting the phone on charger comes distorted on the screen. The screen was working fine before and I was using the Marshmellow ROM and it was working fine.
Another problem which haunts my phone is the absence of phone memory. My phone's memory (NOT THE INTERNAL MEMORY) is not mounted. Neither during the recovery mode and nor during the normal functioning mode. During recovery, it says that it is not about to mount "preload".
Also, having an 8 GB phone, the internal memory that is available is only 0.98 GB. The phone memory is completely absent.
I want to completely wipe out everything from the phone and install a fresh ROM.
Can you please advice?
I have the flash tool but it and official rooted ROM but it does not recover the lost memory.
Please help!

I see that you are flashing s124 with TWRP.
Be careful... Dont install MIUI v.7 over this, because they are incompatible.
You should flash S228 ROW. Only on S228 you should install MIUI v.7.
Good luck.

Hi,
Can you tell me where can I get the S228 ROM?
I flashed the MIUI ROM on top of the Stock ROM. S124.
Also, no what which ever custom ROM I installed. It eats up my Internal Storage.
I recently did a full format with the SP Flash Tool and flashed in the stock ROM after which I got back my internal memory.
But then again, when I flashed the Mystic OS ROM, the internal storage vanished.
Attached in the screenshot that says that there are only two types of storage available i.e.
- Phone Storage - 0.98 BG
- SD Card Storage - 30 BG.
- MISSING??? ->>>> Internal Storage which used to be around 5 GB!!!!!
Please help!

This is your problem ! You installed a KitKat custom firmware over JellyBean! This 2 are incompatibile!
Link for S228: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/development/p780-row-s226-flash-flashtool-t2909202
After flash you need to install TWRP and root your firmware!

Good Luck!

Two Partitions on my phone ?

Hey everyone
Here's what's happening ... I have an Samsung Galaxy SM-J500FN 2015 model phone,
a while ago I rooted it (back then it was under Android v5) ... I wanted to tweak some settings but I did something terrible, I played with KNOX.
Apparently KNOX and root don't go well together, my phone wouldn't boot anymore (rebooting loop).
Anyway, it was nothing, I just used Odin and a fresh new Official ROM (Android Marshmallow v6.0.1) and my phone was working again.
But now I discovered something, my phone is supposed to have an Internal Storage of 8GB, and that's the amount my memory settings show, but something was wrong with that, so I searched and after some time I understood that even though it said 8GB, my true storage was 4GB.
(More exactly I had 8GB but 4GB were constantly full, not even used by the system).
After a day I understood what might have happened :
My older ROM that has crashed wasn't erased when I flashed the new ROM, so now half of my Internal Storage is occupied by default meaning that I have two partitions on my phone (similar to when you install Windows and Linux on one PC).
But I cannot find any way to erase/reset my phone totally to get back those 4GB of memory.
If you have some applications, tricks, advice of some sort that could help me, I would really appreciate
Thank you for your time.

Hi, how are you sir.
Ok, first thing you should know, that if your phone is labeled as an 8GB phone then you will only get 4GB no matter what you do, now there is no way that there are 2 roms on one system partition, what may be taking the space could be old data from the old rom like in /android folder and could possibly also be media files from apps that was installed in previous rom like Facebook photos, WhatsApp videos, pics, and voice messages...etc, installing stock rom with Odin doesn't erase any files, but it completely replaces the rom in system partition with new rom.
Okay I see, thank you.
But still, I've explored that 'Android' folder a few times, checked photos, documents, everything ...
Now what I don't really understand is this :
You will only get 4GB no matter what you do

.
Why is that ? Isn't there a way to access this memory ?
BTW : I didn't flash with Rooted Stock ROM, I used an Official Android 6.0.1 ROM from Samsung's Website
EDIT : My phone when started in Recovery Mode first says "No Command" with the Android Red Error logo, then opens the recovery mode like there never was no error involved ... That's one the things that made me say that my phone definitely had some issues with my older ROM.

the reason why you will get 4 only is because the 8GB includes system partition, data partition, cache, preload (if there is one) in addition to the space taken from the formatting, it's pretty much the same like when you buy a 8GB sdcard and you get only about 7.3GB, or when you buy a 16GB phone and you only have 11.5GB for media (my case..), or when you buy a 32GB phone and you find about 8GB already taken from the phone and you get to use about 23GB for media files (my dad's case and you'll notice that in any other 32GB phone), that's what i meant, you also can check any 8GB phone and you will find that he only has 4GB for media...i hope i explained it in an easy way.
in my case i have an s2 with 16GB
i only have 11.5GB for media, and there is 512mb system partition and 512mb preload, and 2GB data partition, and small cache partition.., so that makes it about 14.5GB in total, the missing 1.5GB is due to formatting as far as i know, same as the sdcards thing i said earlier..
p.s: those partitions are unaccessible by default, they are hidden from the user, only way to access them is by rooting the phone and using a root explorer.
Yes I knew about that, but I never knew it took so much place
Thank you for your answer, I guess my phone is totally normal
