Hi,
this is my second axon and still GSam won't display the app usage. Is there anything in the settings or whatever that I should select to see the app usage?

OK, well, I'm not rooted. Do you have to be rooted to see it correctly?

I think so or where can I check this? I allowed everything when I first opened the app. It seems like the app usage works for the first few moments but then it doesn't record any app activity. Like all apps are frozen. It's really strange since this is the second phone.

Even in the system energy settings it says that there are no power consuming apps...

That's really odd.......Mine works just fine and has since day one?
Might be time to try a factory reset if the built-in monitor isn't showing any usage?
Have you uninstalled and reinstalled Gsam?
Full uninstall and try again?
Yes, I already uninstalled and installed GSam.

I tried factory reset. It worked for quite a while but after restoring my apps I can't see app usage anymore again. Is it possible that another app prevents it?
I seen your original reply about it working until the other apps restored?? I wonder if another app is interfering with it?

Yes, I'm wondering, too...
But somehow I can't really believe that any other app has that much power on my phone without root.
Anyone experiencing the same?

Rooted my phone using the Vroot method and did some surveying with permission manager, xPrivacy and I stumbled upon a mysterious app called MtkCamera (com.example.cameraroot). I have no recollection of ever installing this app. I find this suspicious because I use permission manager on other phones running ICS and never have to deal with this app before. Considering all the apps listed are installed from Google Play Store, I decided to restrict all permission and uninstall the app. Check out the permissions list.

Sure, but what does it do? Does it steal your contacts? Send SMS'? Log your IMEI? Log your keystrokes? Or is it nothing out of the ordinary? Who knows!
I could decompile it myself, but I have no idea what to look for, so that's a complete waste of time.

So the reason some people do not have can be simply because they do not have a TW firmware. Have a TW firmware and got it after vroot. But where would be the point for vroot to put a malicious apps on your phone when they can do anything they want while rooting your device? Maybe you should not take your phone with you on the bathroom, they may record you hahahaha.

So you don't find the following permissions suspicious?
Change network connectivity
Connect and disconnect wifi
Full network access

Pair with bluetooth devices
Allow wifi multicast reception
Call me paranoid, but I think this is a spying app...

this is what I found -platform for the bottom and top of the camera for a detailed explanation of the process and the introduction of the frame code

Ok so how many others got the OTA to Android 6 in UK today ? its looking great and running faster, but my only issue is it will not allow me to set any launchers like google?
Google Launcher can be selected as of Marshmallow I think, if not other all the launchers are working smoothly with Marshmallow.
EMUI 5 (if arrived) will have inbuilt App drawer. And it seems that App drawer is the main thing for which people were using Google Launcher in EMUI.

Ya read it. Seems that they are giving preference to XDA Devs.
As said, if they release sources for Kirin, it might be helpful.
I wanted to post this because I search several times and never found any hits but randomly found this APK somewhere that works just fine activating Galaxy Labs on the AT&T model S7. Go to advanced features after install and you should see Galaxy labs. This allows you to disable the app drawer. So it is like an iPhone home screen expect you have widgets also! No root required.
Thanks for this. Quick Dial seems like it might be a useful feature.

So I had a similar issue. I flashed the OTA and forgot to flash SU before the reboot. This is why you can not get TWRP to flash. To fix this use Wug's tool kit found here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/development/toolkit-wugs-nexus-root-toolkit-v2-1-0-t3258493.
In stall tool kit on PC and when prompted for android version select ANY, should be the last choice on the list (don't select the version you have i.e 7.0, 7.0 etc). Then click root with TWRP and wait for it to go through the process. Now you will have TWRP working and SU in stalled. It will install the latest versions of both, so no worries there.
Good luck!

Yes, I have the camera working. Got it from the app thread, as well as the launcher. For assistant to work I just did the build prop edit.
Find: ro.product.model=Nexus 6P and change it to

save and reboot. Long press home and set it up.

Well if you downgrade, a full wipe would be in order. I for one had fc's on 7.1.1. I did a full wipe and clean install of the system image. All is well now except for amazon app store. But this is no surprise as it did this with the 7.0 preview as well, I can live with this. It will be updated soon enough.
