Included Data Transfer Adapter is OTG Compatible - Google Pixel Accessories

I haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere so I just thought I would mention it here in the Accessories section. The USB-C to USB-A adapter that's included in the Pixel box that's meant for data transfer from your old phone also works as a OTG adapter for USB Memory sticks and MicroSD card adapters.
I've used it with a 128GB PNY USB stick and a MicroSD card reader with a 64GB Sandisk MicroSD card both without issues.
This is a nice bonus that I didn't see mentioned in the documentation for the phone.
Update:
FYI, It seems to be a USB 2.0 speed adapter, not a 3.0.
I can confirm it works on my Pixel phone, a Pixel C tablet, a Nexus 5X, and a Nexus 6P. It does not seem to work on a OnePlus 3.

I'm not sure if it works, being a somewhat techno blur, but it reminds me of this video:
I got an OTG cable recently and had great fun with it.
it will work
it will work on devices having USB OTG(on the go) support.
I used this on samsung galaxy s2. i connected flash drive, keyboard, mouse. all working.
(i think only android device having this feature is galaxy s2)
There's an app called USB host controller, I haven't had time to really read what it's supposed to do but I do recall reading something about being able to mount a flash drive with it. I don't have the thread bookmarked but I found it here.

Micro SD Break out board to usb host?

Not an easy question to answer! But what are the chances of using a Micro SD Break out board and making a Usb Host from this port? Then the charger could be used whilst watching a movie say for example due to D- and D+ being able to be shorted and resistors added without effecting data transfer due to usb now being on different lines....
Basically this is another approach to having Usb host and charging at same time for watching movies whilst travelling.
Will post up break out pic later..
Also the make your own cables thread with usb host plus charging doesnt work.

Something like this? Maybe....
Can get an adapter from usb to micro sd so wires could be done?
Also seen this could be used??

[Q] 64GB SD Card suddenly read only

I've noticed that this thread has gotten quite a lot of views, from searches i assume. Well, sorry to disappoint, the problem i had was that i had accidently toggled the little read only switch on my microsdxc to sd card, so you will have to look elsewhere for a solution to your problem!
Hi, i recently bought a 64GB Sandisk Ultra Microsdxc card for my Samsung Galaxy S III. When i used the Adapter to connect it to my Macbook, i couldn't read/write to its fat32, so i had to format it to something else, so i just chose ExFAT. I put some stuff on it, but now, two days later, the card is suddenly read only? It happend after i exceeded 32GB, although the picture says 36,38GB Available, that's because i tried to delete some stuff from the card. Does anyone have an idea why the card is suddenly read only?
- Thank you!

[Q] Is there a USB Host + HDMI Out Adapter for SGS 2 (GT-I9100)

but, since the screen is too small, I would like to know if I can use the MHL HDMI Adapter and the USB adapter to connect to the HDMI enabled tv in the car and the joystick to play while in long trips, or is there any Bluetooth or WiFi to USB Adapter, since I'm in a car, power isn't a problem, But I can't figure out how to get a kind of OTG Hub, even if it's externally powered
Best Regards!
Hdmi out put needs ext power supply of 240v. There about £40 uk pound new. Also ps3 controlers are done by blue tooth. Use one of them and try.

Up to 200GB Micro SD or not...

Looks like up to 256GB for me. Took my wife's free Note 7 gift and used it for myself ?
Anyone else test out a higher capacity Micro SD to see if it would work?

damn. Nice
afaik @albertobom also uses a 256GB card - so: confirmed,
ymmv
I'm using it and works great on stock rom. I'm having a hard time to make it work on aosp rom. But on stock everything is fine. No issues of any kind for me.
200GB and 256GB tested no problems
it's never really a hard limit...so if somethign supports SDXC it will usually support up to 2TB if it ever existed.
Yeah why not
