ASUS Padfone S Marshmallow firmware V13.6.5.35 for WW has dropped.

It takes time, but updates nicely. It is definitely faster and seems snappier. Dock functions correctly.
No root.
Yes, but does it have the dock issue the previous M build had where it would lose dock after about 12 hours or so? It's the only reason I havent upgraded

I have not experienced this in any way.
The previous M build was based on the TW version which has a different CPU and different kernel to match. (The TW hardware is NOT identical to the WW.)
Hardware failure?
Never install TW based firmware (of any kind on a WW), no matter what they tell you. They really are different.
This snappy M version for the PadFone was worth the wait. Hope you are enjoying your tablet as much as I do mine.
I am now. Thank you for your reply. I installed the M version on my PadFone S/X and it is running well without any issues with losing the dock display.

I just in stalled UL-ASUS_T00N-WW-13.6.5.35-user.zip on my Padfone X using the ASUS Flash Tool.
NO other special tools or root was needed took about 20 minutes.

I've been doing some Benchmarking on my two Padfone X I loaded ASUS FW on
#1 4.4.2 - PassMark 3016
#2 6.0.1 - PassMark 3365
The big difference in performance seems to be in he 3D playback.
Other operations are a bit faster with 4.4.2 generally speaking. Since I don't play games much I will stick to 4.4.2 on my main phone.

Okay so now we have 9.4.2.22 (JP) but hope to see one for (US) soon. I wondering if ASUS goofed and now we will be able to root without unlocking.

Not development related. This should be in the 'General' section.

You don't need to unlock in order to gain root. Thats what the other guy meant to say.
ask mods to move this to general section. then find or post a changelog for .22
ASUS always releases the JP firmware last out of all the different versions. They always have a slightly different version number (rest of world had .15 JP had .17). The only reasons are translation and handwritten character to text support.
There will be nothing new that the rest of the world does not already have. Changelogs for both WW .21 and JP .22 below:
Code:
Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF201 Firmware: V9.4.2.21 Only for WW SKU (Android 4.0.3)
V9.4.2.21 Release Note
1. Upgrade Google Mobile Applications
2. Upgrade Vibe version
3. New browser function which able to keep user’s choice of browser viewing type
4. Enable battery usage data in Settings.
5. New display mode of HDMI output
6. Enable press-able notification in lock screen
7. Support Wi-Fi Ad hoc mode
8. Add new system bar lock function
Code:
Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF201 Firmware: V9.4.2.22 Only for JP SKU (Android 4.0.3)

That's all folks!
EDIT: Can we put this nonsense to bed now please?
@OP: If you check the ASUS site so regularly, why is it that you were unaware of the differing version numbers between previous JP and WW, DE, TW, US etc... (read: rest of the world) firmware releases?
EDIT 2: CAN A MOD PLEASE MOVE AND CLOSE THIS THREAD, AS IT SERVES NO PURPOSE AND IS OBVIOUSLY IN THE WRONG PLACE.

I do not believe that a new root exploit has been discovered since .21 was released.

Do you mean that the 9.4.2.22 can be rooted as the 9.4.2.21?
My eeepad Transformer is delivered last weekend, with the 9.4.2.22 (upgraded in store?).
But i don't have any clue how i can rooted this. I've read about downgrading, but isn't this a bit risky?
ps Only thing i want to run is SwitchME to have multiple users option... :$

You have't kept up then. You can downgrade your firmware now if you're on .21. This will allow you to go to a prevously rootable firmware, root your tablet and let ASUS push the .21 OTA to your tablet. Once in .21 use OTA Rootkeeper to restore root.

Does anyone know what this update was for or what it done, was it just to get ready for 4.4?
James
I didn't get nothing
Can you give us the version you have now?
Well I did have 4.3 previous but my version now says 10.4.1.b.0.101
Not sure if that's newer than previous as I'm not sure what the exact number was.
The update was only about 30mb
Got one on OTA few days ago too but mine is .109 (SGP311 French)

As for user who have been ROOT on their 5.0 C5 Ultra devices ..please bear in mind that if u prefer to LOST ROOT then u can go ahead and update to this 5.1 version. If u prefer to keep on ROOTED ,please don't update to this 5.1 version as it will break the ROOT.Please wait for @bigrammy to get the 5.1 ROOT fix out. Thanks (Patience Is Vertue)
Okay, I have finished updating and use it for a bit. Either Storage, RAM or both read/write access speed seems to have improved, as a result saving photo/media/downloads and getting in/out of an app feels quite a bit faster or at least more responsive than before.

Can anyone post about phone screenshot?
Just flashed the Italian version with flashtool on my C4. The biggest change in performance must be the app opening speed. It also uses less RAM, I even saw 1gb+ free at one point.
Got a Geekbench of 800 single, 4164 multi. Which is normal I think, 49460 Antutu.
Here are the screens.

A quick question from being new to the Axon 7, will this relock my bootloader, and or will I lose my ability to root? I'm on B32, but downgraded bootloader with toolkit, and am rooted with SuperSU. I am loving my Axon 7, having had it 1 month. Previous phone was a POS Sony xperia z4, and the Axon blows it away.

No, and never lock it. You'll end up with a brick if you ever lock the bootloader without getting the phone completely functional and 100% stock (recovery, system)
Thankyou, I never intend to or want it locked. So I assume all I'll have to do after the update is re-flash superSU?:good:

Again. The OTA system is completely broken.
Just take an official zip from the Download Center. It's there for a reason you know
Other than the security patches, seems like a very light update. Does anyone have it yet? Are the improvements mostly under the hood or is there anything actually noticable?
I'm mostly looking forward to Oreo and hopefully fixing the metadata Bluetooth problem.
Nothing noticeable. Updated security patch to December.

You cannot downgrade the kernel from a11 to a10 as of my knowledge, whether someone has a workaround is something i wouldnt know.
Anyways, if Odin had flashed your phone would be bricked

Depending if you are running A11 or A10
A11 vs A10?
ohhhh...you mean android version? I was remembering bootloader versions couldn't go down since like galaxy S6 days
If you are running A11 check if the bootloader changes from A11 to A10 if it does you will brick if you downgrade.
I believe A11 updates as of this post are higher bootloader versions as opposed to when it first came out early this year
So with the latest updates? Sadly not.possible...even with an unlocked phone (unless if it's a custom Rom?)
