Android ROM needed for Knight Rider car stereo

Hi Everyone,
This thread is being started with the intention of gathering more information on issues people are having with the Android Knight Rider stereo head unit.
Please see the attached file for the product specifications.
There is only a small community of users for this new Android 4.0 stereo unit available from the China manufacturers. Here are the issues I have reported back to the seller after using the radio for four weeks:
1) The volume of the radio is reduced to a minimum level when an Android app is playing music. The music is only going through the front wires to the front speakers when playing an Android app. Installation of the radio was correctly done because music can be heard through both front and rear speakers when playing music with bluetooth from my Samsung Galaxy 3 phone. There is a problem with the firmware in the Android software. I am totally aware it is not an Android option, its a problem with the way the Android 4.0 operating system was deployed within the radio.
Solution needed: An update to the Android software is needed to fix the issues with the music only playing to the front speakers. The sound settings are set to both front and rear but when playing music with any Android app the music will only play through the front speakers.
2) The radio was advertised to have two working SD card bays however a 64 gig card will only be recognized in the navigation SD card slot. The Android operating system will not recognize a FAT32 formatted SD card in the extension SD card slot.
3) The Android operating system often causes applications to hang. Google maps often gets suspended and the application needs to be closed. Other applications will only work for a limited time and then stop working requiring the radio to be powered down in order for the Android system to reboot.
4) There is no MUTE button when using the bluetooth telephone (Not in the Android OS but in the Windows CE OS)
5) When tethered to a Galaxy S3 phone for the radio to have wireless, there is no phone functionality within the Android OS. The phone is used within the Android OS it comes up with an error message stating "No mobile networks are available" while connected to a strong WIFI hotspot.
6) The Android Playstore app is extremely limited in the amount of apps it will find available to load. It will not find all the apps the my Galaxy S3 phone will locate when using the Android Playstore.
My radio was professionally installed so I know there are no issues being created as a result of a faulty installation.
QUESTIONS:
1) Has anyone else run into the same issues?
2) Is there a way to root this radio?
3) Would it be possible to have some developers work on a firmware update or the Android related fixes needed? The seller just wants me to return the radio for testing when I know its a problem with the Android software.
4) What 3G dongle needs to be used to enable the Android phone functionality to properly work?
Thanks very much,
Scott

[Q] Car DVD Android 4.2 problem steering wheel controls and wifi

Hello to everyone and sorry for my bad English.
I bought a from ebay a Car-DVD- Android-4-2-for-Mercedes-Benz-C-Class-W203-W209-C230-C240-C280-C320-C350 with item number 181653721821 and after lot of work I installed the unit to my car yesterday. I am not sure but about the unit model but I think it's KGL-7508 with RK3066 CPU and anroid 4.2.2 jellybeam operation system (CPU and operation system are correct) .
All working till today, I was trying to connect internet via wifi and as I did yesterday, and nothing. I turn wifi on and turned off by it self and finally it stuck and didn't do anything. I pressed the reset button from the unit and it turned on, but again the wifi didn't work. My next move was to press from menu "RETURN TO FACTORY SETTINGS". When the procedure completed some of apps erased and my steering wheel buttons won't working (the steering wheel controls works perfectly with the rest car) either the wifi. I tried by menu steering wheel to fix it exactly as the instruction manual says but nothing.
So please if anyone knows PLEASE HELP ME with, what I can do to fix it steering wheel controls and wifi or just the controls ?

Joying Quad core EU-JY-AQ001 Radio app and GPS

Hello everyone,
i'm currently looking at this navigation unit for my Audi A3 :
https://www.carjoying.com/in-dash-gps-navigation-system/audi-head-units/european-germany-warehouse-joying-2016-best-automotive-7-inch-android-4-4-4-kitkat-car-autoradio-head-unit-gps-navigation-system-hd-1024-600-quad-core-16gb-stereo-audio-dvd-player-audi-s3-2003-2.html
and after reading some posts, it seems that you can't play FM radio in background and have GPS running ...
is it true ?
i'm planning to use Here Maps and the default FM radio app, does anyone have a feedback for this setup ?
How i can get to recovery with this device ?
Maybe I will go for Malaysk rom, but maybe after a while, when i get tired of stock rom
or is it really better ?
Do you have a better choice for android navigation system ?
I want the custom fit for my A3
Thank you all for your answers
Hi,
I also have a JOYING unit and it is possible to navigate and to hear FM radio at the same time.
I am also using a navigation app from Google Store, not iGo from JOYING.
If you leave the FM radio to start navigation, you are not allowed to press the back button, becaue this will stop the radio app.
You have to press the home button.
You must under GPS settings in main Settings
1. set main gps program
2. set audio mixing
3. set volume for mixing
After that when you listen radio and just press home button not back in rihgt corner.
Because back is closing radio,music,video....etc.
After pressing home go to you navi program and when is needed radio will fade to hear navi ...

I just ordered one ( http://xtrons.com/pf75attar-7-inch-...-mirroring-function-obd2-for-audi-tt-mk2.html ) for my TTRS. I don't plan to install right away. Will likely power it with a bench power supply, and play around with it to see how I like it before I go through the trouble of taking apart my interior

LinageOS i9100 permanently installed car phone | automated wakeup - standby power off

Hi there,
i read a lot of tutorials (tasker & co) and threads in boards.. but still in front of a mountain (with questionmarks).
I have a i9100 and it´s pretty empty (gapps only play store, wiped etc.) with LineageOS (current version) based on 7.1.2 with a "twin card" installed.. and like to use this permanetly in my car.
Main goal: i dont want touch the phone in my (BMW)snap in adapter (not for power on, not to call, not to turn on blutooth etc.)... » it works when i start the engine, if i dont drive for 2-3 days there is still battery | everything else i do with my steering wheel remote control or BMW voice control (like the oldschool car phones - i just want to make a call.. thats all).
Requirements:
Blutooth connection when i drive.
My Idea:
1. If the car is powered (voltage @ can-bus) the i9100 turns automatically on blutooth and connects to BMW idrive.
2. If i lock the car (or can-bus shuts down energy) the i9100 turns off whats possible (airplane mode or more?)
3a) best case, if (i9100) battery is empty the i1900 boots, types in phonecard number and starts blutooth when the car is powered
Any ideas (in detail) from you how to realize this (help me climb the questionmark mountain)?
Best regards

Disable autoboot on Android TV Box

Hi everyone, I'm new in this forum and I have a question:
I've just bought a EgoIggo S95X Android TV Box (Android 6.0, 1GB Ram, 8GB ROM) and it works reasonably well, but there is an issue that bothers me a bit:
Everytime I plug the device in a power socket (or whenever I press the ON button on my power socket adapter) the device turns on automatically, but I would like for it to not do that and only turn on when I press the power button.
I've searched for similar issues but I've only found people wanting to do the opposite (having the device turn on automatically when plugged).
Is there anyway to fix this?
Thank you!
Up?
Maybe down?
