Hi guys !
I installed CM13 in my phone just that I did not back up EFS folder where is the IMEI number, and now he is at 0 and this folder does not exist
I've tried restoring anyway and no method I tried worked
Could anyone help me with this?
Without this IMEI number I can not signal my mobile operator
ps: I have 2 annotated IMEI numbers, but do not have the EFS folder
My device is D618
Edit:
If anyone can provide this folder for me I will be grateful (I will not use your IMEI number)

Hi, I'm wondering If anyone can help me with a strange issue I'm having with my Vibrant. I unlocked my phone a while back using the method in this forum
http://www.communityhosting.net/sgsunlock/vibrant.html and it worked fine.
Then I installed custom roms, I first had a froyo rom and then most recently used Eugene's Gingerclone. However a couple days ago I went to look at my phone and the APN settings were all jacked up (There was no signal just a cancel sign where the bars used to be). I've went back to the stock 2.1 rom- T959UVJFD using Odin and the service works, however when I upgrade to any other ROM the APN issue remains and I have no network service at all with any rom I've tried. I really don't know what the issue is...if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it...because I would hate to be stuck with the stock ROM. If you have a paypal account we can work something out. I am using AT&T sim card with T-Mobile Vibrant. Thanks
Hi,
When you go to Settings > About Phone > Status...
Does your IMEI read correctly? Or do you have a generic number that starts with 044xxxxxxx or something like that?
It appears to be a generic 0044 # under the stock rom. Thanks!

No problem. Please download and install Root Explorer (cost money but worth it) and browse to your EFS folder. When you are there post up the files in that directory. This may be correctable as your unlock wasn't fully successful.
EFS Folder
.android
.imei
.nv2.bak
.nv_data.bak
.nv_data.bak.md5
.nv_state
nv
nv_data.bin
nv_data.bin.md5

First, copy the full EFS folder somewhere else on the phone like the Internal SD storage section or to your PC. Now, delete nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5. After those are deleted, copy .nv_data.bak and .nv_data.bak.mdf. After they are copied paste them in the same EFS directory and rename them to nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5. Reboot the phone and let me know if you have your IMEI number back. This may re-lock the phone but atleast you have an intact IMEI number. Then copy the EFS structure in full valid form to somewhere else on the phone or PC and now you can mess up that section as much as you want trying to unlock and you can always restore the good folder and retry. Or if you want to send it to me, I can unlock and maintain a valid IMEI for you...
Nope, IMEI is still the same. The phone only creates a new nv_data.bin file and no nv_data.bin.md5 is created.
I stumbled upon your mobile tech video on Youtube(repairing the IMEI). After watching that, I'm pretty convinced my Vibrant's IMEI is lost forever. I'm just confused because the dates modified on the nv backup files are from last October (before I even tried unlocking or doing anything with the efs folder). I'm probably going to just put this phone on eBay. Thanks again for helping me figure this out.
Can help, I lost my IMEI number in the file efs have nv_data file.
Can you inject new nv_data files and manually enter the IMEI number?
I tried some ways but without success

Hello everyone!
My NX507J, after partitioning procedure and some my mistake, has lost IMEI, IMEI2 and MEID. :crying:
I haven't got nv backup, so, I don't know how to do!
Is it possible to use a nv backup from an other NX507J and restore my phone with it changing the IMEI code with a qcn file reader??
So, if it is possible, does someone have got it for me?
Thanks in advance
Alessandro
I have the same problem after using cwm 12, i played around with the build.prop and it went into a boot loop, i took it to an expert to put a brand new imei on it, after it is done ill ask exactly what he did and inform you too.

Do you have the "Nubia Backup" folder in your root directory (from when you did the update) ?. If you do its possible in fact easy to recover.
Cheers

Did you resolve? I have the same problem.. There aren't backups..
Hey,
I have the same problem and I cannot restore my settings. In fact my sim card is not recognized and I have no network.
I have the c://nubia backup folder that has zip files inside. In the zip there is an nv.qcn , bluetooth.txt wlan.txt 1.persist etc
What should I do in order to restore my imei? I have tried with the nubia updater by pressing on the icon and although it says succesful and the phone reboots it's in the same condition. When I try with nubia tool studio i can only choose a folder and not a file. So I have tried by extracting in a folder and connecting it there buts says no xml file found.
Also, do you think it has to do with a different rom on phone than the one that the backup had been made?

hi i lost my imei on zte nubia 7max , have *.zip files in my PC how to copy /restore them in the Phone?
Currently I had damage a new phone in the process of transferring a twrp backup from my gold note 8 onto my black note 8, but now silly of me I didn't realize I tried restoring the efs partition as well causing me to have a bad partition. Now, I currently manage to fix the efs partition and solve some issues im just stuck in trying to find the file in which I can alter the IMEI as currently its 00000000000 i've checked NV_data, but I cant seem to find the offset that contains it i've tried searching it on my working phone to see if I can spot the imei so I can find the right offset, but no dice.
edit: I've solved my problem i'm not sure if it'll work for you, but what I did was root my device, delete the efs folder which eventually game "000000000" imei and the baseband wasn't appearing as unknown anymore, then within the new efs folder that was created on its own there was a folder called efsec in which it contained !svc and svc files, so I extracted these files and edit these files with notepad++ which within there was an option for imei and it showed me all 0000000 so I imputed the original imei, and finally after a reboot I reflashed stock and then flashed a combination file which when it booted up it automatically restored my imei

Thanks for the answer. I would like to clarify one point ...
I realized that you replaced the parameter "deviceID": "00000000000" in SVC and !SVC files (in the newly created /efs/ sec_efs folder) with your original IMEI.
But what does "and then flashed a combination file" mean?
With which software did you flashed the modified SVC and !SVC files?
Maybe you just replaced SVC and !SVC files with 00000000000 IMEI onto SVC and !SVC with your original IMEI via RootExplorer for ex.?
