It Is Easy To Root GALAXY J200G - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ERROR OCCURS DURING THIS!!!!
PLEASE FOLLOW THE GUIDE STEP BY STEP TO DON'T FACE ANY DAMAGES/ERRORS.
First of all, You must confirm that your device model is J200G.
Otherwise it may damage your device!!!
I am not responsible for that.
That is, this guide is for J200G only.
Next, Check your firware model.
The model of your firmware must be : J200GDDU1APB1/J200G1APB2
Because the latest firmwares does not have any propper guides to root.
If it is yes ,then follow my commands otherwise you must downgrade your firmare by downloading firmware : J200GDDU1APB1 and flshing with odin tool(Downgrading the firmware doesn't change any type of settings in device).
Step 1 : Download the latest version of TWRP recovery .tar file for Galaxy J2 from the link.
Step 2 : You must unlock your bootloader. To do this , go to "Settings/About device" and tap "build number" 7 to 8 times . (It says "you are now a developer") and go back .And then, you see an extra option named as "Deveoper options" in settings, click on it and turn on "OEM Unlock" . This will unlock your bootloader (Unlocking bootloader will void your warrenty).
Step 3 : Switch off your mobile and boot into odin mode. To do this, switch off your device and press and hold the volume down+power+home buttons at same time. The device then displays the odin mode (Note that the FRP Lock is off otherwise it will lock custom binary).
Step 4 : Download and install the "samsung drivers" from link, and download and install the latest version of "odin" from the link on your computer and open it. And then select PDA/AP and locate the downloaded twrp_3.0.7_j2lte.tar file and select it. Now, connect the device with computer using data cable.
Step 5 : After connecting the device, note that the odin shows the "added" message. Then select "start" button and sit back and relax. It will show you the "pass" message and your device will restart automatically.
Step 6 : After this, download "superSU experimental.zip" from the link. And move it to root of your sdcard.
Step 7 : To see your new custom recovery , boot into recovery mode by pressing and holding the volume up+power+home buttons and then you see the TWRP logo and it will turn you to the home page of the recovery. Select the "install" option and locate the "supersu v2.60 experimental.zip" file and select it and flash it by swiping right from the left and the recovery shows the message "successfull". Then select "reboot" and then select "system" to reboot the device. Wait for the device to reboot and switch off and again it reboots automatically. Then, you see the "superSU" app installed on your device. Downoad "Root Checker" app from playstore for propper root verification. (During the boot, you see "kernel is not seandroid enforsing" message; don't worry, it doesn't affects on device.) Now, you have successfully installed TWRP Recovery and Rooted your Galaxy J200G.
KEEP SMILING!!!!

After updating my J5 2017 J530F to the latest Oreo 8.1 I was having trouble getting root and all things working again.
Hours of waiting for installs then something going wrong after applying the CF-Auto-root or trying to install Magisk or something and having to install again, Hours spent waiting..
Trying to install the auto-root would cause a verification error and force a system erase but not work again.
Thought i'd found the solution with the EDOs rom but then realised I had no bluetooth and had problems with mobile data.
After many efforts i found a way by simply installing the excellent Helios PRO kernel and manually installing Magisk after.
So I offer you the way i found to root my phone with Stock Oreo 8.1
A step by step breakdown of the method I used to fully root the fresh stock rom install.
First download the needed stuff
Latest Samsung Odin software. (3.13)
https://samsungodin.com/download
Download Link:
https://samsungodin.com/download/Odin3_v3.13.1.zip
USB Drivers.

The Helios Pro Kernel
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...velopment/kernel-refined-kernel-v1-0-t3675500
Note if you are not installing from fresh stock roms Helios kernel says...
If you have flashed Root through any means other than magisk, Please uninstall it (SuperSU>Full unroot)
Magisk , (All J5 roms kernels i installed that said they had magisk pre-installed never actually worked on my phone)
so I downloaded the files to manually install Magisk.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
I used the main zip file and the manager apk
https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v18.1/Magisk-v18.1.zip
https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/manager-v7.0.0/MagiskManager-v7.0.0.apk
Note: developer mode and OEM unlocking need to be enabled for most of these steps but many of the steps undo the settings so will need to be reapllied at various stages.
enable developer mode on phone by going to Settings/About phone/Software settings and keep pressing "Build Number" till developer mode activates then go back to main settings page and select "Developer Options" and make sure developer mode is enabled and USB debugging (i guess) and "OEM Unlock"
Method...
1. unpack Odin software and right click Launcher icon and select properties
Go to Compatibility settings and select Vista (service pack 2) compatibility.
Click okay and launch the Odin program.
2. Install stock ROM
Unpack the Oreo 8.1 files and use the buttons in Odin to load the BL , AP, CP and CSC files into each slot
Put phone into "Download Mode" by powering off and holding volume down - , home, and power buttons together till the screen pops up telling you to now press volume up to go to download mode.
Then plug in USB to computer.
Odin should report "Added" if you have correct samsung drivers on PC.
Then press "Start" in Odin.
Stock roms should all download to phone then it reboots.
***************************************************
3. Flash TWRP
Boot up phone, log into an account and get it all running then enable developer mode again.
Once set copy the Helios pro kernel zip file and the magisk zip and apk files to the phones SD card.
Now power down the phone and put it in download mode again.
Load Odin again and now put only the TWRP installer .tar file into the "AP" slot then select the "Options" tab in Odin and uncheck the auto reboot option. then hit start and flash twrp.
***************************************************
Load TWRP an install helios kernel
After flashing TWRP hold down the phones volume-down, home and power buttons and as soon as the screen goes blank immediately change volume down for volume up while still holding home and power.
then TWRP should load
Go to Wipe and select "Format Data" type yes to proceed , then back to wipe, select advanced wipe and wipe internal storage.
then back to TWRP main page and select "Install", select micro-sd card and point installer to the Helios Kernel zip file and install.
Install Magisk Manager app:
After booting up i still had no root so i installed the Magisk Manager apk using the "My files" app and launching it confirmed still no Magisk installed.
(I cannot recall if i had to go through the "Enable developer mode" again at this point but check if you need to or not)
Last Step, Manually Install Magisk.
Lastly I powered down the phone and held volume up, home and power key to launch TWRP
There i selected Install and installed the Magisk.zip file from SD card.
Finally the system booted, everything was working and i had root via an installed and working Magisk
Hope this helps someone..

The TWRP recovery does not stay there.
When flashing the "No verity Opt Encrypt", it fails with an error message in red. Only genuine binaries can be flashed.
Is there a simple answer to this ?
I've re-installed my stock ROM for now, no Root or TWRP.
Thank you.
Nice custom roms

[GUIDE] Step by step Root SM-G570 F/M/Y on Binary U3

Hello all. I have a G570Y which was accidentally updated to the August 2020 security patch system. I can't downgrade the firmware to the previous version because this version has changed the binary to U3 (earlier version U2).
You also won't find OEM Unlock Toggle in Developer Options or it is called RMM / KG State set to Prenormal on this new firmware.
However I have managed to make this device ROOT. This is how I do it.
STEP 1 - Bring up the OEM Unlock Toggle
URGENT !
You have to connect to the network and ignore / disable Samsung Gift applications
Show Developer options by opening the Settings menu> About phone> Software information> Tab 7x on the Build number and returning to the Settings menu, the Developer options menu is under the About phone menu.
Select the General management menu> Date and time> Turn off the Automatic date and time option, then set the date manually. Shift the month counted 3 times backward, ignore the date, choose the one you like (This method works best without frustration)
Select the Software Update menu then turn off the Download update automatically option, then restart your phone.
Open the Settings menu> Developer options> OEM Unlock is visible. Repeat for the OEM Unlock process by sliding the toggle.
If it doesn't appear, repeat no, 1,2,4. When it appears you can continue to the next step.
STEP 2 - Flash Root Kernel
URGENT !
You must backup all your internal data before doing this process.
i found a halabtech website which uploads root kernels for G570 F/M/Y series with U3 binary. You must use ODIN to flash this file in AP.
Link download :
Root Kernel G570M - Odin
Root Kernel G570F - Odin
Root Kernel G570Y - Odin
Download the latest version of Odin here:
Odin3-v3.14.4.zip
After installing the Root Kernel you will find a long booting and a black message appears on the device screen saying that there is activity without permission, wait a few moments until you can press the Reset button at the bottom of the screen. The device will reboot and erase all data.
After that you must install Magisk Manager and update the latest version of Magisk Root.
STEP 3 - Install TWRP
Download the latest version here:
TWRP - J5 Prime
Download RMM State Fix 8.1 and 9.x OEM Unlock Fix here:
RMM_Bypass_v3_corsicanu.zip
Reboot phone to Bootloader (hold Vol Down + Home + Power button)
Open Odin then enter the TWRP file in the AP box, untick Auto Reboot on the Odin Option menu. Click the Start button.
Turn off the device then enter TWRP (hold down the Vol Up + Home + Power button), select the Wipe menu> Format Data. Then back to the TWRP start menu and select Reboot> Recovery. (This is because the phone's internal sdcard is not readable / 0 mb)
You can only copy files and flash RMM State Fix 8.1 and 9.x OEM Unlock Fix after reading the internal sdcard in TWRP.
I've managed to make a permanent ROOT on the G570Y and removed all the bloatware. I hope this helps all of you.
Special thank to :
