I'm thinking about getting the Kate version due to having the correct LTE bands for use here in the US.
I'm used to buying my Xiaomi devices from ibuygou.com but this version is different as it isn't sold everywhere. I really want to avoid getting the Kenzo version.
I see it's available on Amazon with prime, but the description doesn't match what's said in the features and details. Has anyone bought one on Amazon?

I took a gamble with Amazon, and I got the Kate version ? I got it next day rather than wait a week or two ordering overseas.

Note 3
They are about to release the Note 3 . I think I will stick to the Note 2 . A 6.3 inch screen would be too big to use as a daily phone.

Don't worry, they are not "about" to release the Note 3. It's gonna be Q3 before that comes out.

yes mate it is available to buy. however only pre order at the moment which i have already done. there are 2 versions as you may already know. the tegra 4 which is only supported for chinese networks and the snapdragon 800 version which supports international networks. there are a few sites that i know of that you can pre order. i pre ordered it from www.xiaomiworld.com but you can also get it from www.ibuygou.com.
be careful what site you buy it from as there are a lot of fake sites which send you fake phones. these 2 sites i have provided are the most trustable sites to use unless you live in china which therefore you could buy directly from xiaomi and at cheaper prices.
hope this helps
Im looking at buying one of these what are peoples experiences with these phones Xiaomi Mi1 Mi2 and so on

I have the mi2s millet phone extreme edition. It has the 13mp camera and 32gigs of storage.
Great device all around. Setting up miuiandroid on it was tough because the recovery sucks, but ive been using it on T-Mobile prepaid since July with no quality issues or anything.
Its a great device. I got it because i like having a smaller screen.
Regarding the mi3:
For the money, I got the nexus 5 instead of the mi3, only because the two devices are so similar, and the nexus 5 is cheaper for US customers. My nexus 5 will have miui eventually anyways.

Hi... Do you know if it works fine with the US gsm range? I'm Brazilian, and don't know if it will be ok here...
Yes it works fine on us gsm networks, in fact, it is capable of dual carrier hspa (42mbps) if your provider offers it.

and let me know if you like it!
That was a great review. Personally I am never buying another xiaomi product ever again, however the review was top knotch.

And another one unboxing and quick review by a friend:
I have the note 2....cracked screen.... What device have others received? I can't imagine they still have note 2s to give out?
I just warrantied my wife's Note 2 this week and we got a refurbished Note 2. I was hoping for a Note 3 bit no luck. Let's see what happens in a year since we can't upgrade without losing unlimited.

Any news already where to get this lovely phone in our country?
Hello, planning to get mine purchased from the US, will I encounter any problem whatsoever? AFAIK it's unlocked when it's purchased right?

Check the radio bands. The radio bands that our telcos are using might not be supported by the US version of the hardware. That's was the case with Nexus 5. There are usually two variants. US & International model. Personally I'd go with the international model just to be sure.
Lately, we've been reporting about various deals involving the unlocked, international version of the LG G6 (which comes with 64 GB of storage space and no US warranty) - at one point, this handset was offered for $400. Now, we're glad to inform you that the US variant of the unlocked G6 is available for under $500, too, thanks to Best Buy.
