Hey what's up guys. I'm brand new to this site and will def appreciate all the help I get and the info retained from other posts. K I have an old Android phone I'd like to root. Will be the 1st time rooting a phone for me. I've always held back from rooting even though I wanted to really bad. Figure if this phone gets bricked then at least it's an old phone. Anyways the specs are as follows: LG Stylo Model number-LGMS631 Hardware version-Rev.1.0 Android version-6.0 Kernel version-3.10.49 Software version-MS63120g...... I hope that's enough info for you guys. Trying to be as specific as possible so it's easy for you guys to give me the most accurate info available. Thanks for the help. Looking forward to this big time. fingers-crossed:

Happy Holidays to all first of all!!
Second of all, i unrooted my phone months ago when Sprint started rolling out the 4.3 update so that i may receive it. I admit i am out of the loop a lil bit because it seems as though a lot has changed. All i would like to know is can i still use one of qbkings older methods to root or is there a better way so that i may perhaps keep my modem? I am ready to get back in the game because honestly, my phone is boring as hell!! Hahah....thanks in advance for your time, effort, patience, and answer!!
Again, Happy Holidays and Happy Rooting!!
This is I9300 forum not your phone see sticky top of the page .

Phones currently rooted and running cm 7 but was wondering if anyones come across a simple rom out there that'll give her a basic smartphone setup to start with or even a few app that mite be useful either.
Hello everyone.
I was recommended to check these forums so I decided to create an account.
I have had my LG V10 for almost three weeks now and I love it. I have the T-Mobile version. I came from iPhone and I always had my phone jailbroken. I wish to root my LG V10 for more freedom and to get rid of those pesky ads.
Can someone link me to a guide that will assist me in rooting my T-Mobile LG V10? I haven't been able to find anything anywhere else. Also, I would love to know what can I do or what are the things that people recommend to do after the phone is rooted.
Again, it is my first time on Android so help me out, please.
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Mrs Ana.

Thanks for that.
I apologize for being new. I clearly do not understand what is being said there lol. I know what rooting is but I don't know how to follow the directions and in what order.
Can you please tell me what I have to do first? If there is a step-by-step guide, that would be awesome. I am trying to root my T-Mobile LG V10.
Thanks and again, sorry. I just do not want to mess it up.
I think you're going to have to do some googling and reading about adb first if you aren't already familiar with it.
I'm no expert. Still running stock here and havent rooted a phone since my original HTC g1 and HTC g2.
Sent from my pretty nifty brand new LG V10
Not sure if you have seen it yet but at the bottom of the LG-V10 posts there is a T-Mobile LG-V10 link you might look in there that may help you out also good luck and keep asking questions no question is to dumb.

Here is a video tutorial made from the guides
https://youtu.be/PPLwFGxLQA4
I'm new to the XDA forums and need some guidance. I need a fairly new Verizon based phone that supports screen casting and that can be rooted. I was considering the HTC 10 but saw a thread indicating that it could not be rooted for Verizon phones as of yet because USB debugging was hidden (or something to that effect). So, I thought about the LG V10 but I cannot find any directions or videos relating to the Verizon model. It doesn't have to be any of these models. I could go for a Samsung as well but I heard they are harder to root? I really don't know. Basically, if someone could point me to a VZW phone that is relatively new and that can be rooted with directions, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
Anybody?
Good evening all,
New member, long time lurker. I'm completely new to rooting, and thought I had found an easy way to do it with the one click rooters, however I am discovering it might be a bit more awkward than that with my phone.
I have a s7 edge (32gb), Android 7.0, model number G935F, baseband XXU1DQD7. Im really lost right now, is it actually possible to root my phone? I dont mind if i void the warranty as i think its out anyway lol.
Any help much appreciated!
Thanks a bunch!
