Broken Screen and a pattern i cant unlock - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone, i got a pain in the ass problem that i cannot fix. I've been looking for 3 days in a huge labyrinth of forums before posting this.
The screen of my phone got broken and half of it doesnt respond, and i cant unlock the pattern screen because part of it is on the damaged part. I dont want to reset the phone, just try to skip the pattern screen or use it remotely on a PC, and seems very hard to achieve.
The phone is from a low-cost brand i bought in Mexico, the model is Vios 502015. The android version is 4.4.2. I think it is not root, but right now i dont know how to check it.
I tried using the device manager of Google to block the phone and change the pattern to a password that i can type with the unbroken side of the screen, but the phone has the wifi off and no sim because i lost it and till a couple of days i wont have another. Also tried to put a friend's sim in the phone for if the conection was on by magic or something like that. Didnt work, anyway new sim doesnt work.
I tried connecting a mouse with OTG and doesnt work either. It has not enabled the USB debugging mode and I ve been looking these days how to enable that option wihtout using the screen but it seems imposible.
When i connect the phone to the pc is only available the mass storage option. Also tried with adb commands but doesnt recognize any device using "adb devices".
But in recovery mode, if i select the option "install update from ADB" it does recognize it with the command "adb devices". The status of the device is sideload.
If i try the command to disable the pattern lock it returns error:closed. And also try to find the solution to this error, but nothing seems to work. Tried "adb usb", "adb kill-server" and "adb start-server". Nothing.
I dont know what else to do. Im starting to feel ill, haha.
So the question it would be: what can i do to skip the lock or a way to tun on the wifi mode or... i dont know, please help!!
Thanks to all of you for your time
Cheers!

Edit: i just noticed! i can write the pattern if i find a way to turn the screen upside down, any ideas?
FIXED: i used a program called gsm aladdin. I can use the phone again!

[Q] Smashed screen, save the data?

Hi,
So on mothers day I smashed my phone.. anyways, upon turning the phone on I cant see the screen, and the touch functions are broken.
I connected the phone to the pc, but it wont show up, I think I have to unlock the phone in order for my pc to access the contents of my phone. Is there anything I can do? I don't have a pin or screen lock, just the slider. My phone IS rooted, and I'm sure I can run adb, but I don't know what commands to do. If anyone can help that would be awesome, I'm open to ideas.
CWM Mounting?
One thing you can attempt is, boot into recovery and mount your device as USB drive.
If you run CWM, you will find this in Mounts and Storage. If you mount as USB drive, you can access the SD card...

Phone is locked and broken screen, how do i connect to pc?

Okay, I really have some files i need to take from my samsung galaxy i9000. its not on the memory card, but on the phone itself.
the screen is broken, so its all muddy and you cant really see anything but when i connect phone usb cable with pc i manage to click the button that said "connect to pc" or something like that. i couldn't really see what it says, but i know i need to do this and after that i can access all my files.
but when i tried today, first i couldnt unlock my phone because i forgot my pattern. and now im stuck to a point where i cant even guess my patern anymore because it only promts that screen to enter gmail user and pw. so what can i do now? all i want to do is access some files on my pc. it does show on pc like "removable disk (F)" but when i try to enter it, it says please insert a disk into removable disk f. now thats what usually happens and after i click connect to pc on my phone, it works. but now i cant do that because my phone is locked and i cant really type my user and password because i cant see much on the screen.
is there any way out? i tried droid screen with adb, but it doesnt recognize it. i also installed samsung kies and it wont recognize it either, i guess usb deburging mode is probably not on.
please help me. thanks

help with unlocking.

okay so, i just got this phone. did all updates, enabled bootloader unlocking and made my mi account, downloaded the mi unlock tool and everything.
heres where the problem comes in.
everytime i try the button combination to get into fastboot, it works. but then when i connect my phone to my computer, the fastboot splash screen turns black with little text at the top saying "press any button to shutdown" or something like that. it just wont stay on the fastboot screen, its like its exiting fastboot mode on its own.
why does it do this, and what can i do to fix it?
note: i have downloaded all drivers and software to get this to work, and nothing seems to be coming to light.
please help me, i am very confused.
update: actually, it seems to be fine before i open the mi unlock tool. it seems that when mi unlock tool is not open, it stays in fastboot mode, but as soon as i open mi unlock tool, it just kicks me out of fastboot mode, and goes to a black screen with something at the top saying the exact same thing i mentioned earlier.

i already have enabled usb debugging. but for some reason, it won't just stay in fastboot mode.
was thinking about calling xiaomi and seeing what they have to say. because i cant find anything on this matter, so its probably just something im doing wrong. though it may be my version of windows. i have Windows 8.1. so maybe thats the deal?
this is stressful lol
If I'm not mistaken, you should only connect the phone in fastboot mode when the program asks, not before you open it

i know, i did that too. but the problem still persists... ill try some other time.
thanks for helping though
First off this is much better place to ask questions. When phone is running and you connect to pc can you access storage?
If not check drivers, try different usb cable, and try different usb ports.
If yes then can you access the phone via adb?
If not it is a pc issue probably drivers.
If so leave phone booted and connected then open unlock software. Once software is up and running go to terminal/command prompt and type "adb reboot bootloader" without quotes.
I don't think it is windows version but with Microsoft anything is possible. I still use windows 7 for all this stuff.
Had the same problem on my Desktop with Ryzen, i tried it on my laptop with Intel Celeron and it worked from the first try without any drivers installed. If you have AMD that might be the cause
Hello.
My personal experience says:
1 Install Drivers on the PC/Laptop.
2 Activate DEVELOPER OPTIONS
3 Accept O E M Unlock
4 Allow usb debugging
5 Shut down Wi-Fi and use only DATA in order to connect - verify the device to the Mi account you have. When connected, press "understood" or ""accept"" (however it pops up).
6 Connect the phone to the PC/Laptop
7 After being connected, shut down the phone and put it in FASTBOOT. Make sure your PC ""reads"" your phone. Do it through command line/power shell, and make sure it shows up as alphanumeric in command line (i hope you know what to type - e.g fastboot devices)
8 Download and use the mi unlock tool (preferable Versions 2.....). Connect through this tool to your Mi account
9 Ask for permission to unlock // unlock your phone if days-hrs have passed. Ignore any pop-up message/warning and go on.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTES:
A. The phone must be recognized from the PC as ADB INTERFACE (in device manager) both in normal and Fastboot modes. Any other case is waste of time.......
B. Use a good cable and have the mobile charged!
C. In case you have another (older) device connected to your account, disconnect-delete it or else you will end up stuck with a ""cannot unlock message""
D. The process will not work if your PC runs some Win 10 versions as well as if built with RHYZEN PROCESSOR. Prefer PCs running win 7 or 8.
E. You must have DATA connection available or else you will not be able to connect-verify the phone to/through your Mi account !!! it is a new (dual function) fail - safe procedure from xiaomi!!!
F. Make sure you have the correct drivers installed to avoid a brick - bootloop etc
Hope it helps!
Gathered from my own experience!
To summarize: The xiaomi imposes too much rodeo and much time spent of the user to just "try" to unlock a simple bootloader, better to change of apparatus and to be happy with the practicality. lol

broken screen: recover data/change usb settings/getting device recognised by adb (?)

Hi,
i broke the Display of my ZTE Axon 7 mini on stock ROM and without USB debugging enabled. No custom recovery or anything done to the device. The touch interface of the screen is at least partially functioning, i'm able to boot it, unlock it by guessing where to draw the pattern (i know bc the fingerprint sensor is working afterwards) and power off as well by clicking on the spot where the button should be. I've read some threats about tools to access your phone with broken screens, but nothing worked. Thing is, i think i set the usb-setting to "charge only" when connected to my pc. So the device won't be recognizedwith adb fastboot. Which means i cannot use the method described here for instance.
So does anybody know how i could change the settings or get at the data generally? I'd be really glad if someone could help.

Cannot enter recovery

Hi,
I have an E5823 from a friend (sounds dodgy but is for real).
*. Phone is from Sweden and boots up with a 3 logo
*. I cannot enter recovery no matter what combinations of power and volume buttons i use
*. None of the codes (like *#*#7378423#*#* or *#06#) work
*. i don't know if the bootloader is locked or unlocked and cant find out.
Can anyone suggest any steps please?
have you tried using adb and fastboot from a pc?
I am trying but i cant get adb devices to recognise the phone. All drivers are installed. I suspect USB debugging is not switched on
However I cant into settings to turn on USB debugging mode. The phone is locked. I've bumped into the android FRP i think. My friend tried various accounts to unlock. No luck. I was his last resort to get the phone up and running again (i know this sounds suspect but it's for real)

Hi. Did you ever get this resolved? I am facing the same problem with my brothers phone. I can't get into recovery with any key combo and I can't get in to settings because it's locked and he forgets his PIN.
No. But i found a few YouTube videos that show you how to get around FRP
