Hello there. You know that the s2 is charging with 650 mah . How do we make this speed 1000 in 900mah?
The s2 is a very nice device but it charges very slowly :crying:

Not possible.
By design, the S2 charges at 650mah. Anything above and you'll risk damaging your USB port or even the device.

You're trying to draw too much current and the S2 charger is current limiting... which will make it noisy as the feed-forward converter is running outside its design limits.

its dangerous for the phone or charger? or its not that big of a deal?
Stop using the S2 charger. It is rated at ~700mA and your S3 is trying to pull 900mA.
Not a great idea.
use the charger that came with the s3
and u will be good to go
i think that if you use your s2 charger for ur s3 it will damage your battery (but i'm not completely sure about that )
I use an old HTC charger at home which seems fine. And I use the S3 charger at work. Never had a problem.
The s2 charger will not damage the phone it will output only what it is design to no matter what phone you use. That it can be consider normal and chargers do sometimes make some strange noices. My S2 charger did exactly the same noice you described. Also Samsung is not famous about its good quality chargers.

i am using a 'Sony xperia x10i' charger with my S2 and there is no problem as such for now
So IMO it doesn't make much of a diff with S1 and s2 chargers for now as long as they are micro usb for u
can anyone please tell charger specifications of s1 and s2
Google.

I use the same micro USB charger for many different devices both at home and at work. The handset (kernel) is what determines the load that it pulls and as long as the charger can deliver it no harm is done* (to the charger). I have yet to find a handset, even through custom kernels, that can draw more then the charger can supply (assuming charger is in the wall and not connected to a computers USB port).
* If you are playing with the charging current on a kernel then you can damage / explode batteries and burn out main boards on handsets.
my galaxy s2 charger doesnt work anymore so i decided to order a new charger from ebay and the question is will gnote 2 charger harm or cause any damage to the phone because of the twice higher output (1 and 2 amp) i know that the phone might charge faster but im scared that it will ruin the battery.
thx guys

hi
my 3 year old s3 charger is almost dead... This one was 1A output.
When I went to buy a new one, the guy offered me a 2A output charger telling me that it will charge the battery faster. I am somehow in doubt as it may damage the phone / battery
Can you advice if a 2A charger would suit s3?
thanks
The S3 does have current regulation, it will perhaps be a little warmer. But it charges at a relatively low limit. Some custom firmwares can bump this limit well above this threshold. I wouldn't worry in my opinion.

Ok.. I will go for a 2A charger then? Just out of curiosity, how do I diagnose if the micro usb port is not damaged? I do not face any issues while transferring data to and fro between phone and pc
Why I am asking this is because when I plug in the phone, the amperage is constant but when I slightly move the cable attached to the usb port, the amperage drops

Hello guys,
I have my flat S7 since few months. Today, my Adaptive Fast Home Charger suddently didn't work. I tried to charge with another charger without any issue.... I really don't care about fast charge as far as it does hurt slowly our battery.
I bought this one :
https://www.amazon.com/Original-Log...3_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=Y8RQ09D3JHE3NKF8QRH5
What do you think ?
Do you have any advice for another OEM wall charger for S7 ?
Cheers

In my country, they don't want to send another one. You have to send them your charger AND your phone at the same time to get repair.... :silly:

If I was you I would get a Samsung charger like the one that came with the phone, just to make sure I wouldn't have to start a thread like "Help! My phone exploded!". :silly:

Hahahaha ya I know bro !
But this charge has almost the same specs than original one ! Shouldn't be too dangerous
I'd be wary of any charger that has the word BOOM in the title

I don't see any reason in keeping the Logitech, I mean its way more expensive than the original and you can't fast charge your s7 (says so in the amazon page). Well it's up to you.

Anker wall chargers are very good and do have fast charging..
Since you don't use fast charging then logitech is equally as good

Yep ! So I will stick with this logitech one's !
aukey quick charger v3 is best
https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Charge-Galaxy-Qualcomm-Certified/dp/B018RR30TK
its qualcomm certified charger, and its also work with my 930f exynos (quick charger v2.0 charging speed only)
and charging speed is not too different with original samsung charger charging speed
Charger for iPad Air (5V: 2 A) works flawlessly too
