Can I downgrade - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

Hello folks Ive been using fp scanner in 16s Indian with no problem at all.Since ive Ive updated to 19s officially my fp scanner doesn't work when device is lifted after a few seconds or deep sleep. It works flawlessly when I turn on screen & even after that until I keep my phone
Now my question is Can I downgrade to prev version by renaming it to update.zip or Is there any workaround in this version also?
Ive tried reset & restart several times.
Thanks For your time

Bro did miui dev 6.0 fastboot rom work ?
Yeah, wifi and all will work no doubt on 6.0
use xiaomi.eu rom...flash from twrp...everything work properly for me.
site: xiaomi.eu
I use EU ROM currently too and it is the best one for me to date, also freezed some system apps with Titanium Backup.
But still dont know, if theres a way to downgrade to 5.1 if I dont have backup from 5.1, because my Kenzo came to me with 6.0... It boots fine, but wifi dont work, so also other radios, so its not usable
P.S. Can I flash with TWRP(zcx) old EU ROM recovery with 5.1 and radios will work?
I guess ill try that now

yes...you can directly flash 5.1 rom from zcx.
backup your data then do factory reset in twrp before flashing LP rom to remove any MM encryption.
hope you can downgrade without any problem..happy flashing.
anyway, probably your bootloader will relocked. but i am not really sure about this, just check it first after flashing LP rom.

I tried that yesterday, except I wiped all except cust/microsd , flashed 5.1 eu rom and then I flashed also SuperSU, it was a disaster, phone only shows Mi logo and turn off...I cant go to twrp, only to fastboot. Im going to get computer in two hours where I have everything set up And will try to go to EDL mode and then flash With MiFlash... I doubt that flashing 5.1 will work with wifi

from fastboot, are you check your bootloader? it seems your bootloader relocked, thats why you can't pass mi logo
if your bootloader relocked, you can easily unlock it using miunlock.
for wifi, you can easily flash any miui mm firmware from twrp.
Thank you for the tip, didnt thought about that...
im gonna borrow computer now, I have all drivers installed etc on it...
If its only relocked and I will be able to boot and wifi will not work, where can I get firmware (and you must be thinking LP firmware not MM, right?
btw I flashed older EU ROM MIUI7, 5.1 then flashed through zcx supersu and reboot, now Mi logo only flashss and turn off. Only fastboot I can enter.
I will then first check if BL is locked, and unlock it if it is...
thank you for help
Ok so you were right, BL was locked so I unlocked it and got enryption problem after booting up, I had to reflash ZCX TWRP, because EU ROM replaced it with official 3.2.0. So now I am finally booted up on EU rom MIUI 7.3 by xiaomi.eu/Beta, Android 5.1.1, but Wifi as expected dont work, also SIM is not recognised.
What and where to get radios I have to flash to get it working? Because it says unknown under system info about version of radios
Also it says unknown device ID (IMEI,..).
I have backed up all partitions before on MIUI 8 EU,6.0, so do I need to flash those radios or firmware or do I need it from 5.1? And where to get it if so
Nice I got it to work, restored EFS,MODEM,FIRMWARE ROM,FIRMWARE EMMC and wifi works and SIM is working )
Nice I had backup of that...still not sure if all works as needed, gotta test a bit

Yeah, now a problem is I cant access fingerprint or password lock, I think because I cant connect to Mi account, cant find my device, also cant manually log in, because it cannot verify "find device", also cannot access to "Privacy" to install 3d party apps it is a must to enable this... Also settings freeze occasionally. I think I still didnt do something right... Any tip?

sound like firmware problem, you can try to flash firmware from above link which suitable with your current android version. if you're in LP, flash 6.7.21/7.3.2.0 and see if it work. or, you can flash one of MM firmware above.
to avoid from getting relocked, you can delete emmc_appsboot.mbn from zip package using winrar/7zip without extract it and let the apps repack it again.

I tried flashing your firmware 7.3.2.0 and had to restore EFS,MODEM(maybe only modem) to get wifi,SIM working also your firmware fixed only I could log in to Mi account and find device, but still couldnt set PIN,FP, also tried calling and couldnt hear anything also on the other side no voice.
Im losing confidence that I can get everything work on 5.1 MIUI7
Then I wiped everything expect microSD and wanted to restore backup I made on EU ROM,MM6, but it said read only. Then I flashed 6.10.13 EU ROM and it works everything perfectly here...
Still want to downgrade to MIUI7,5.1 if theres a way to get it all working, because I heard battery is lil better...

ah...this is only for battery life?
miui 8 a lot better on battery backup comparing with miui 7. also you got android M with bunch of feature & security update.
if you want better battery, flash xposed & amplify (you can limits nlp wakelock), flash kernel & use darkness/zzmove gov, use adaway or minminguard to remove ads.
still want more? flash stable aosp rom & keep using above way. pure stock android will give you better battery comparing with miui.
Thanks for all this great info!
I used few CM roms for this device, but none of them were working flawless...Which one are you talking about? I tried almost all Nougat based and had a lot of problems, only CM13 from thestrix were the closest, but I like MIUI though... Thank you for your time to help me!

give a try for nx rom or aicp, both mm base. i really like both rom stability & feature. almost all my friend using both rom
for N, its still in progress & you won't get stability using N for now. give more time to let dev work & you'll get stable N which better than MM.
you're welcome, enjoy your device & dont bricked it
Thanks man, I flashed NX ROM and its stable and fast so far, also 400MHz unlocked by default ,..Flashed it with pico gapps and kenzo radios.
I want to flash xposed and amplify now, hope xposed doesnt do contra effect.
Thank you again!

[Problem][OP2][OOS 3.1.0] Random reboots

Hi to everyone!
I have a problem to share because I hope anyone can help me to fix it.
My OnePlus 2 with the stock ROM of OxygenOS 3.1.0 (never unlocked bootloader or installed custom roms... always with the original system) has a problem: since 2 weeks he started rebooting randomly... it may happen from 1 up to 3 times a day (in my situation). These reboots are not caused by apps I think because a lot of them happens when the phone is with screen looked and it is in my poket or on the table (on charge and withoutcharge also, is indifferent). Sometimes happened also while using it (it could be a browsing session, a photo.... it's random!).
I also noticed that before the restart the phone freezes, expecially when its screen is turned off, you can't turn it on and all gestures or phisical key (also the fingerprint) doesn't work.
I noticed the first time that the phone rebooted exactly for the fingerprint sensor, because I tryed to unlock it and it said that after reboot I need to first insert the unlock sequence.
I tried (in this oreder):
- to make a cache and data wipe from recovery (with no result);
- to make an hard reset from the recory installed into the phone (with no result);
- to make another FULL wipe and reinstall the OxygenOS from the zip installer on the official download section of the oneplus website (with no result).
Now, I beg to all of you to help me if you have any suggestion or know a fix for this problem.
Thanks in advance to all people that will help me
Hi...
U will need to upgrade to the latest oxygen os 3.5.6/3.5.6 or flash a custom ROM like cm.
In order to do that u will need to unlock bootloader and install twrp and then flash zip.
Ensure u take a nandroid backup in twrp before flashing roms
Everything can be found on google. [emoji4]
Hope it solve the problem

But the phone worked well for months... why now there is this problem? And anyway there is no update by OTA and I don't want to unlock the bootloader for an update that I have to recive by official way...

It's probably caused by a google app running in the background.
If u can get a logcat of the the device before reboot without root would have an idea.
Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk
How can I take a logcat? and anyway I don't know when the phone will reboot... and when I discover it is too late because like I said it freezes for 10-15 seconds and I can't make anything...
Well if u are looking for ota, check out this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/hot-fix-3-5-6-oneplus-2-official-update-t3528911
since u don't want to unlock bootloader n stuff.
Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk
Oh thanks... but why I didn't recived it by OTA?
Well idk but I think it is released in some country or not quite official yet.
Tbh I'm using custom Roms so I never checked it.
As they say, it fixed random boots and use a VPN and select Germany or Canada to download the zip via ota or can manually flash in stock recovery.
I recommend the ota it's more safe.[emoji2]

Goodix FP not working with ANY Kernel or Patch

As the title says, I have a Goodix fingerprint sensor, and I've tried all of the methods I could find but none of them works, at least perfectly. In some cases where I applied the patch and used a custom kernel, it kinda works, but very inconsistently.
Further explanation: It only detects my finger about 20% of the time I touch it during the fingerprint setup. Even when it does detect it, sometimes it says "Couldn't process fingerprint. Please try again." After successfully setting up a fingerprint, the phone soft reboots, and then later when I try to unlock it using fingerprint, it doesn't work. Adding more fingerprints does not help in anyway, neither is deleting them.
EDIT: Only with custom ROMs, with MIUI it works fine. Sorry for the misunderstandings.
are you sure, you have goodix version?

AIDA64 is known to report FPC even though devices have a goodix FP. Anyways, mine shows
Manufacturer: FPC/Goodix
Model: FPC102x / FP
And I have a "goodix" folder in root/data with some folders and files inside, there's also an fpc folder alongside the "goodix" one but there is nothing inside.
Also, running the command "getprop | grep goodix" in shell gave me a goodix result.
All the above should be enough to say that I DO have a goodix sensor. Right?

Nope, doesn't work.
Dude, I was in the same situation as you, and also thought that I have goodix, tried every patch, kernels, everything but it just didnt work. I was using cm13 by santhosh which works with goodix rom (but also fpc) and my fingerprint was working. So when I tried to install official cm13, I immediately installed goodix patch and my fp just didnt work. After that, I tried installing rr 5.8.0, also with goodix fix but it didnt work. And then, I wiped everything, did factory reset in twrp, installed cm13 firmware, rr 5.7.4, open gapps and rebooted the system. When fp settings came, I thought lets give it a try and added fingerprint and to my surprise, it worked. It turned out that I have fpc fingerprint. After that, I flashed radon 3.4, selected the fpc fp and worked.
So, the moral of this story is, you might have fpc fingerprint although you have goodix files in system. Try this steps that I described, or just skip everything, do factory reset and wipe in twrp, flash firmware, rom and gapps and reboot to system and set up the rom and see if it works.

When you say it works, you mean it really works flawlessly like it did on MIUI, and it unlocks the lockscreen without the screen on?
Also, may I know the version of RR 5.7.4 that you flashed? And the CM13 firmware I suppose is the one from the official thread right?
Another thing, if you had fpc, then shouldn't the fingerprint have already worked when you first tried installing a custom ROM without any patches or kernels?
It works just like on miui, except when the phone is in deep sleep it takes him about 2 secs to unlock with fp, but if you press power button first and then put fp, it will unlock immediately.
I will provide you files in 5 mins, when I come to pc.

I am not sure. After santhosh cm13, I tried flashing official cm13 by strix but I am not sure wether I tried to set up the rom without any patches and fixed and kernels or with them. I think that I didnt, because I thought that I have goodix fp.
Anyway, here is the link to rr 5.7.4-20161119: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224399916
And here is link to firmware that I used and kernel: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0PETL84EtNFUFEwZUdvUGFScnM
Try that, and post results here and any further questions.
Goodluck
Thanks, will try and report back here.
BTW, is that the official ROM or an unofficial one?
Reporting back, NOPE, it doesn't work, sadly.
I am not sure, I found the link in official thread.
I'm sorry that it doesnt work, I really had my hopes up high.
Try again, or try 1113 build, in the official thread in op link.
And try without installing gapps, after you flash rom, reboot to system and set it up. If that doesnt work, try again flashing rom, without gapps and wipe dalvik and cache before first boot
I have my fingers crossed man
Okay, will give another few tried when I have the time. BTW, have you tried Lineage OS?

Fingerprint scanner doesn't work after updating firmware

OK so my whole issue started when I rooted the phone and unlocked the bootloader. I knew my phone shipped with the lollipop firmware but didn't know there was marshmallow firmware available. I wiped the whole stock ROM in twrp without updating to the latest EMUI or backing it up. Dumb decision on my part because I basically soft bricked the device and couldn't flash any ROMs because it was stuck on lollipop firmware.
To sum it up, I found the official MM firmware on huawei's site, used a windows program to extract the .IMG files and manually updated the firmware through fastboot. I thought I flashed everything needed, because the moment I flashed resurrection remix MM, it booted up properly and everything worked fine. But now I just figured out the fingerprint scanner doesn't work for some reason. I'm wondering if anyone knows what firmware file is for the fingerprint scanner hardware? Knowing that and flashing the file through fastboot might fix the problem but I'm not sure..
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Try a factory reset and it will work , if not ,install a new update.app
Thanks I forgot to update this post, it turned out to actually be ressurection remix that was the problem. The latest version of that ROM doesn't work with the fingerprint scanner. I flashed the aosp CAF marshmallow rom and the scanner works great now. Its weird though cause I reported this on the RR rom's thread, and people said it worked for them.
Edit: tested with another huawei honor 5x, but this time I properly updated MIUI to the latest MM firmware before wiping the stock rom. I then flashed RR again on this new phone, and came up with the same problem. So it has to be the ROM itself.

X820 Fingerprint sensor stopped working after flashing magisk+systemless Xposed

Hello LeMax aficionados!
I have a Le Max 2 (4gb, 64gb), bought originally as an X829. I immediately flashed the latest lineage OS and have been updating it weekly (now device info shows X820). Everything worked well for more than a month; fingerprint sensor was working well too.
At the time of the issue I was on the 16th Dec release of LOS and had the superuser addon installed. I decided to move to the latest magisk (v15) and get the systemless Xposed (sdk25) so I could try out the Leeco Infrared Fix and the InstantFaceUnlock module. This is how I went about it.
1 Flashed the superuser addon remover. Rebooted.
2 Installed the XposedInstaller (latest version from the source)
3 Flashed magisk v15.0. Rebooted.
4 Downloaded the Xposed sdk 25 from the downloads section of magisk. Rebooted.
5 Opened XposedInstalled and saw Xposed was installed and everything was green.
6 Downloaded the Leeco Infrared Fix and the InstantFaceUnlock thingy. Rebooted for it to take effect.
Here’s where the problem started. I got stuck on the boot animation screen for a long time. Unsure about what to do I left it like that for 3 hours or more (plugged in). When I finally checked it, the phone was extremely hot. I pressed the power button for 10s to force restart and had the same issue. I used the vol UP+power button combo to boot into recovery. Then:
A I flashed the Magisk uninstaller.
B Dirty flashed the Dec 23 LOS. Rebooted. Thankfully it booted properly.
C Uninstalled the XposedInstaller. Rebooted.
D Flashed the superuser addon.
E Everything seems fine. Except that the fingerprint sensor doesn’t work. Even when I remove all fingerprints and try to register it anew, the calibration process doesn’t proceed beyond the first fingerprint. (1/10).
F I flashed the chinese 26s Modem. Same problem persists.
G I did a basic wipe from TWRP. Restored a nandroid backup from a week back. Everything is fine except that the fingerprint sensor doesn’t work.
Did the overheating mess up some key component of the fingerprint sensor? Any suggestions?
Have a nice day guys!
Bump!
Any ideas guys?
I was reading before that overheating mess up with finger print.
@shanty23 any news thus far? I have the same model but my fingerprint only worked for a few seconds after I purchased the phone. I immediately flashed a custom ROM though.

Exactly the same happened to me, I immediately installed a custom Oreo ROM and the fingerprint sensor died. I was resigned to live without it but after installing Xposed framework (I'm using AICP ROM) the fingerprint got back to life...

Hi @cruizgaray ,
Can you specify which AICP ROM did you install and what Xposed version? Is the FP still working? before the fix did you have any signal from the FP reader? I mean like the FP gestures on camera app working.

Reflash the ROM and see if it help.

Done. No change. I'm starting to think it's a hardware failure.
Thanks anyway

Give time to the sensor, maybe they back to life.
Or, just a hardware damage like you said.
I have posted a solution for this in the treads all eui rom
Mine also dead after 3 days of purchase. But one day it accidentally started responding. Now its working fine. According to me wait for few days, it may work.

Before it got fixed it was completely dead; it just worked a couple of minutes after I received it.
I installed Infrag's AICP and the last version of Xposed (not systemless) for Oreo. I' keep using Infrag's AICP and the FP is working perfectly.
Best regards
